- One Thousand Voices, Sleeper Simulant, do either of these even have a remote chance against Whisper of the Worm? And where does the Ikelos shotgun fall in this mess?
Note about lack of Ikelos shotgun testing: The main reason I didn't test, as I say in the video, is that you can just use the weapon anyway if you want. Ikelos has no competition in its slot, there are no energy slot weapons in the current PvE meta that will be able to compete, at least of the limited weapons I've tested. On Kalli, it's fine to burn all of your ammo and then go back to sniping, on Shuro, the damage phase lasts a couple of seconds if that, on Morgeth, the shotgun strategy definitely works very well, Vault who cares and Riven who cares. This video emphasizes damage within a boss' vulnerable phase rather than pure DPS like I've showcased in the past because I feel like it's more relevant.

D1 is different than D2, which is what Bloody is implying that, for lower end players (Seriously, don't call someone garbage for not tryharding like yourself. Not everyone can be at that level), it was really irritating that you're restricted based on a time limit rather than the players' own skill and power level.

Yeah I did my own numbers on pc with 1k voices and on riven with normal buffs “ well, hammer strike, empowered” and I was getting about 3 million to 3.5 which compared to the 2 million rocket launcher strat its pretty damn good

Without a nerf to whispered breathing nothing will ever come close to whisper without being incredibly op. The only thing stopping whisper being the only option is ease of use with some players missing the occasional shot and loosing white nail. Infinite ammo alone would have made whisper amazing but being the highest dps on top of that puts it in a class of its own
The ease of use of ghorn with the damage of its glory days, would put it above sleeper and just below whisper. Whisper would still outperform with rapid crits and no ammo used

You do realize Whisper will still beat Icebreaker right? Sure maybe Icebreaker hits hard and generates its own ammo, but it has like what, 6 or 7 shots? During the time you're sitting there waiting for your Icebreaker to reload itself Whisper will pull ahead and just keep pulling ahead as you won't have much ammo at all. Whisper would demolish Icebreaker in damage, even if it did even more damage than the Sleeper

Datto, the 1K Voices weapon does more damage the higher your frame rate. This sounds like bullshit but it is actually true. It could seriously mess with DPS numbers because it's different for everyone depending on their FPS

You should test out the prospector. As far as I’ve seen nobody has done that yet despite grenade launchers actually doing really well right now. Of course whisper beats everything but I wanna see how well it stacks up against the other DPS exotic power weapons

Sleeper will be the best there for most people. Perhaps it might not seem this way to the top raid teams in the entire world, but most people are going to get flinched and miss some shots. Datto greatly understates just how punishing this is to the Whisper's DPS. Not only do you have to reload, halting your damage, you also need to wait a few moments to reengage Whispered Breathing. This would take a HUGE bite out of those giant damage numbers he's showing you every single time you miss (occasionally Mulligan might bail you out, but that's not going to happen very often).
Geomag stabilizers with chaos reach can hit roughly 400k damage on kalli, with the only problem being that it takes longer to do the damage than celestial golden gun.

what about nova bomb with tractor canon buff?
If you're a Warlock you're generally going to be Well of Radiance or Ad clear. Nova is a wasted super when you can out DPS most supers with weapons.
@@burns0100 I'd say on the first boss using supers on her is fine, but every encounter after that needs more ad clear.
If no one on the team has a debuff, Tractor cannon would be a good idea, but I rarely encounter that situation in a team of 6 that not a single person has Hammer Strike, tether, or Flawless Execution. But if that WAS the situation, you could use the Tractor Cannon, Nova Bomb, and then run in and melee/ EP shotgun and do a lot of damage. Nova Bomb activates and does its damage within seconds, leaving you with more time than a lot of supers (think how long it takes to throw all your hammers or get all your strikes in during Arcstaff) to follow up with weapon damage. I doubt that's the very best loadout, but it would give a ~30% to 50% debuff for your entire team to utilize while you're doing lots of damage yourself. I don't like to use the exact same loadout every single time I play, so I may even try this myself just to see how well it works.

What happened to darci?
Darci can out DPS Whisper for a very very short window of time due to rate of fire and the ability to activate its perk sooner. After that Whisper is better in all aspects because of unlimited ammo and higher base damage. So Darci might be ok for Shuro compared to Whisper but then again neither are good for that fight because they are snipers and EP Shotty does the job better.
burns0100 Plus not to mention in regards to Kalli and Shuro Chi, their crit spots are extremely small and DARCI does have recoil so you can’t just fire away since you need to stay on target to get the perk to proc.

Cool video Datto! Nothing exactly took me by surprise, but it was cool seeing the numbers. I noticed during the supers portion of the video you went over the typical boss DPS ones, including the new Chaos Reach. However, you didn't take into account the effect Geomag Stabilizers has on the damage of the super.
Geomag Stabilizers makes Chaos Reach the best super to use after Nighthawk GG. Since the duration is extended for each tick of damage you do in the super, you have the potential to double its length. Getting off the entire super without wasting a tick is very easy on bosses, making its damage double to 470k. This technically beats out Nighthawk GG in pure damage, but that's not accounting for the fact that GG is instant and allows you to switch right back to your power weapon of choice after casting it.
So I notice that on multiple channels, ehroar and datto specifically, when you use your arc strider, you do three light ground attacks for dps. However I have found that the best way to do dps with the arc strider is to do a ground light light heavy (normal, normal, then the button you use for a ground slam or the wider aoe attack). With this strategy, your last hit, the heavy, will do double the damage that the light attack. So, say for simple terms, a light attack is 10 damage then the full chain of lights is 30 damage (10+10+10) but if you add the heavy at the end you get 40 damage (10+10+20). Im not sure how much this affects dps pr whether its important at all but i wanted to bring this the attention of some destiny “ youtubers. Love the content datto and keep it coming!

Edit: after reading all the comments I would like to add I have 3 legit full completions of riven and 5 cluster rocket strat/cheese kills (8 total) I play on lfg websites to make a raid team. To effectively do this fight in the intended way is very hard for people to learn, pick up, stick around for as people have to do other things so it is just quicker to do than teaching 5 random people the mechanics and spending hours learning the encounter when this option is available. Skilled players can use this strat to save time and others use it for their own reason. If you run it the intended way then thats great but others may not have the time to commit especially on lfg websites. Cheers for the debate guys, was a fun read :)

They're only good on RIven because she's massive, just like they were only good on Aksis cause *he* was huge. On smaller targets, they're nowhere near as good as Sleeper or Whisper.

Sad face to hear that my sentinal shield is apparently 'not viable' without a team of excellent people..Which means, since i'm usually a solo player. Anything like strikes or public events. The new super is actually a detriment.
BIg sad news..Wish they would buff the damage you gain from it. I mean, a HEAVY WEAPON gives a bigger boost to damage than my super...Granted, you give up your heavy damage for bonus damage. But still. Why not just make it 33% or 40%. I'd be happy with that. But 25%? Ehh...Well, at least sleeper is still viable if you don't have whisper or a decent sniper.
Wouldn't mind seeing the damage numbers for L.O.W...You know, just to see if it even comes close to the dps compared to other shotguns.

Fuck the shield. It's only good for blocking damage. What you really need to look at out for is the detonators. It's extremely good for add clear. Like REALLY good.

You seem to be totally ignoring the fact that the Sentinel Shield is, in fact, a Shield, and will block all incoming damage in a much larger radius with Code of the Commander. The buff is supposed to be a bonus.
It's great in tandem with other buffs, or debuffs (they're multiplicative). Calling it a detriment is totally wrong, however. It's arguably stronger than either of the other two trees of sentinel, rivals (or even BEATS) the damage output of both the new titan supers, and is so stupidly good for ad-clearing.
The block should be used reflexively, to protect you or allies. There's only so many, very specific situations that people are actually going to stand behind you to deal damage - and that almost always requires prior coordination.
Plus, as I've stated before, as with all buffs, it's multiplicative with other buffs, and debuffs. If you stack a Well of Radiance on top of a Banner Shield, your buff goes from 25% to ~36% (for a total of around 71% buff to everyone). Throw in a tether, or melting point, whatever, and your contribution is even more effective.
Oh, and I almost forgot: the block is stronger (and far larger) than either of the other two Sentinel trees. With testing in Crucible, you can block: a whole Blade Barrage, three golden gun shots, a Thundercrash (back up, if they go through the shield, you'll die), Chaos Reach, and more. The other trees can block about half of a Blade Barrage, but are normally going to die, for example.

I'd pick a game that hasn't released yet/Is a new series. COD is a yearly cycle, its very straight forward and doesn't have much news.
Something like Anthem or Division 2 even Red Dead Redemption would be better games. They are new, up coming games, with big following, heaps of news to cover and plenty of future content/updates like Destiny.
COD is already a flooded market.
Otherwise, keep a regular upload schedule, cover everything, multi-platform that stuff (twitter, youtube, facebook) and understand that a slow start is bound to happen.

Brian Rodriguez because it’s for people who don’t enjoy doing a encounter lol. The encounter itself is not hard and killing riven right away ruins the integrity of the encounter which is made to be enjoyed.

I don't know, I think there's something to be said for "experiencing" the encounter the first time through without going for *[ o p t i m a l d p s ]* or the quickest possible kill. After you're familiar with the raid, though, I don't see any argument against it.

For a whisper nerf, everytime white nail activates you loose 1 round from reserves(let it hold more amo to). Can't shoot infinitely, but close to it.

The not using any ammo is the entire problem. A ability like that should ONLY exist on weapons with little impact. There is a reason Bad Juju didnt break the game, it was great for killing adds but that was it. High Damage, decent fire rate and literal infinite ammo means It will be King for the rest of the games life.
memnarch129 They bonked the black hammer in D1 for a reason, and spindle didn’t have infinite ammo either, just filled your mag from reserves after three crits and it was still extremely good. I have no idea why they would make the same mistake twice.. Oh right, they didn’t learn anything from D1 when making D2 and nothing changed until their entire playerbase threw a shit fit and stopped playing the game. I think I get it now. Nerf fusion rifles.
Oh I know they bonked it, I was there. And was there for Luke Smith and the D2 team ignoring EVERYTHING the D1 team likely told them about what they learned over 3 years. Forsaken is better than D2 vanilla, but thats not saying much. Its decent and okish but my hopes for any future for the franchise is still in the grave. Just its not buried anymore, its just in the coffin and in the grave waiting for the next major fuck up the D2 team pulls.

I am literally trying to UNRUIN the game. Ive been through every single shitstorm Destiny has gone through and stuck with it. I wanted, and still want, this IP to succeed beyond imagination. But as long as they dont think before they design certain things they arnt going to improve the situation.
Spindle was an exotic and it didn't have that perk lmfao. Black hammer got nerfed. Leaving Black Hammer and Spindle with no reloading but still uses your reserves. Black was a legendary, so thats understandable. Spindle was an exotic. Now whisper is the pre-nerfed, legendary sniper rifle Black Hammer. It being an exotic is a nerf in itself. Theres nothing wrong with a high skill high reward gun like Whisper.

I don't know about using ammo, but OG gally would probably be a starting point for a real contender. Super Good Advice with a decent damage buff would be another.
Some tips: IIRC, Riven’s Curse is currently glitched and doesn’t make you take more damage
Weapons of Light invalidated precision damage when shot through, you can still get the buff by standing in the aura, and having the person using it face the other direction
At the moment, 1K Voices is bugged and does more damage with higher frames. Have fun with this PC

Another issue with Tractor Cannon is that debuffs don't stack with each other, tractor is only 33% for any non-void damage, and as you addressed in the video, you're out a power weapon in that exchange. Melting point is much more solid, giving you 500% * 1.5x for 750% damage not including any damage the melting point player can add to the table after they reposition.
A suggestion I've come up with for reducing the domination of whisper would be a change to white nail when whispered breathing is active. If, while whispered breathing is active, white nail drew ammo from the reserves rather than thin air, just like spindle in d1, then we would have a situation where you could choose between 20 shots at massive damage or infinite at fair damage. The problem with whisper as I see it is that you don't spend any of your ammo on that massive damage. Even though Icebreaker in D1 didn't have the best damage it still saw plenty of use purely for its ammo economy value. I think whisper has too much going for it with bother the ammo and damage enhancements
As a Warlock in this Raid I have tended to stick solely to my Solar Subclass either running Well of Radiance or Dawnblade bottom tree along with EP Shotty, Sleeper or Whisper. I haven't found the need to use any other subclass or weapons for these fights. A decent Primary like a pulse or auto rifle and you're set. Well is a must have for buffs and protection while Dawnblade is a major ad control contender, on good runs Im able to keep the super going from the start of a puzzle room on Shuro Chi all the way to when I need to deal damage to her on the next level. Its insane sometimes. Doubling anyone else's kills Ive seen so far in the groups I've played with.

Granted I haven't done extensive testing, just running the riven portion multiple times due to wipes, and those using the hammerhead (all 650 light level) would average 500k to 1mil more damage total than those using whisper (with buffs) plus you can use another exotic weapon

Also notice you didn't use Geomag Stabilizers when testing Chaos Reach. Not that they actually give you nighthawk level damage, but it'll still extend the super for another couple seconds.

I used to use borealis and the hunter reload dodge to basically carry the dmg buff through any strike that i was going through. i just had to get a shielded enemy, and not die.
Chaos reach with geomag ?
This maybe a console only thing but White Nail doesn't proc during the raid for me when I cast my own well of radiance or my own empowering or my own healing rift. My warlock friend wasn't having that issue until he was the one putting down the well. This happened in every room of the raid. White nail works (most of the time) every else. I would like to know if other console or PC players have this issue.
I really wish we could have also seen Devour's Nova Bomb damage on Kalli compared to the other supers, especially if Tractor Cannon with it. I feels like it makes a strong case as a loadout.
I'm interested to see if 1K Voices will be included as part of the Fusion Rifle damage buff that's coming.

But the basic combo for arc strider isn’t the best way to deal damage. As for there is the animation cancel for some combos allowing you to immediately attack again after the end of a combo.

I’ve seen tests showing blade barrage doing more damage than celestial nighthawk.. so maybe it’s because the blades were scattering in this encounter? Idk but something to note
Edit: maybe test blade barrage and nighthawk on morgeth and compare, he’s a bigger target so numbers would be more consistent
Borealis gets 40% more damage on its matched shield bullets. It WAS double damage but they nerfed it since it became an energy weapon as opposed to a power weapon.
Since you compared the nighthawk GG shot with other supers I'm surprised you didnt get someone with geomag stabilizers to test how that compares aswell.
