    SEATTLE TRIP 2024 SERIES - Day 3 / Episode 3
It's finally the day we reach Seattle Washington and meet up with the boys, but first we need to get from Lebanon Oregon to Seattle. We start the day with a pretty nice breakfast at the Best Western Premier Boulder Falls Inn in Lebanon, and enjoy a brisk walk through their pretty nice Japanese Garden and Koi Pond attached to the hotel. Great soothing vibes in this place. Really enjoyed the scenery it provided. We then headed north and made a stop in Salem Oregon to visit the Oregon Capital Building, which was under construction, and visit the gardens, which had some beautiful looking cherry blossom type trees. We continued into northern Oregon through the city of Portland making a stop at Voodoo Doughnuts for some great delicious doughnuts, and past the border into Washington.
We continued north on the 5 freeway and stopped in Olympia Washington to have a quick lunch at Taco Bell (only quick option), and then proceeded to the Washington State Capital. Here we enjoyed some time visiting and touring the capital building and grounds. We did some gift store shopping, got to see the beautiful inside of the capital building, and toured the gardens and fountain in the front, and had a little silly fun.
We finally make it to Seattle, though we stayed in southern Seattle for dinner and dessert this night. Josh, Jacob and his girlfriend join us in Renton for some dim sum dinner at the Dough Zone, which we always really enjoy, and some shave ice dessert at Snowy Village both located in The Landing shopping district in Renton. It was a good day and so happy to have made it to Seattle and meet up with the boys. The family is complete again, at least for a short bit.
Next Up: It's time to tour the city, and give Grandma Evelyn here first views of the city. We start at the Pike Place Market, continue on to the Seattle Waterfront, and finish the night with some awesome Thai Food in the Capitol Hill district with a surprise dessert at Coche Valley. It's a great first day in Seattle.

The Best Western Premier Hotel was a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed the grounds. The Japanese Gardens and the Koi Pond were awesome. Had some fun at the Capitols of Salem and Olympia. The Cherry Blossom type trees in Salem were beautiful. The tour of the Olympia Capitol was pretty cool. Loved catching up with the Haskill Boys in Seattle and having a delicious dim sum dinner at the Dough Zone in Renton. Also found a Snowy Village Dessert Cafe in The Landing in Renton. The dessert was awesome. We enjoyed our first evening in Seattle. Can't wait to spend more time with the Boys.
