SEATTLE TRIP - Seattle U Family Weekend / Pike Place Market / REI Co-Op Store / Carmelo's Tacos

Family Weekend at Seattle U Continues with Pike Place Market, an REI Co-Op Store Stop, Fun at Seattle U, and some Taco's from Carmelo's.
SEATTLE TRIP SERIES #3 2023 - Days 3 -5 Episode 2
We start with a trip to pick up Jacob at Seattle U and some lunch across the street at Carmelo's Tacos. This happens to be a very popular spot for the university students, especially after games. Great Food! It's then off to the REI Co-Op Flagship Store. Lots to choose from, a little expensive, but lots of fun. The outdoor site in front of the store is awesome, and you get to test things out, like bike riding. It's a pretty cool woodsy spot in the middle of a downtown. Enjoyed an evening Seattle U Redhawk Soccer Game and some Dick's burgers to finish off the night.
Spent the next day shopping for Jacob, and visiting the Pike Place Market. Hit up the regular food stops like Piroshky Piroshky for some pastries, Le Panier for some French pastries, Beecher's Handmade Cheese for some of the best Mac N Cheese around, and Pike Place Chowder for some of the best Clam Chowder around. We make a stop at the wonderfully disgusting Gum Wall. Finished off our day, said our fond farewells to Jacob, and headed back to the Hotel. The final day was my travel time returning home.

Final Days of Family Weekend with Jacob. Carmelo's Tacos is a great place for some quick service tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. The food is really good. We checked out the REI Co-Op Store for the first time. Pretty big store with a huge woodsy outdoor area in the front where you can test bikes and other fun activities before purchasing. Kind of neat to have a store like this in the middle of downtown. Of course, what is a trip to Seattle without a stop at the Pike Place Market. Had to make the normal stops with all the favorite foods like Pike Place Chowder, Beecher's Mac n Cheese, Piroshky Piroshky pastries, etc. It was a fun family weekend. Sad that Jen, Caleb, and Josh were not available to attend, but glad that Grandma and Grandpa had some time. Love spending time with the boys.
