SEATTLE TRIP - Seattle University Move In Day-Dorms & Campus Tour / Travel Day / New Food - Days 1-2

Tour the Campion Dorms and Seattle U Campus as it is Move In Day-Orientation Weekend. We try some new food places as well.
SEATTLE TRIP SERIES #2 2023 - Day 1-2 Episode 1
It's our weekend of tears as we send Jacob to his new home for the next 4 years. It all starts with our travel day from the Los Angeles Airport (LAX) to the Seattle-Tacoma Airport. We settle in to our Silver Cloud Hotel directly across the street from Seattle University. Dinner ends up being something quick from Dick's Drive-In. Day 2 is Move In Day. We settle Jacob into his new home at Campion Hall. We take a tour of his dorm room, the common area and restroom on the floor. We continue the tour of the hall with stops in the basement, laundry room, the Cave Store, snack area, and outside garden area. We tour the important parts of the campus including the Student Center - Dining Hall, attend the reception in front of the Library, Chapel, campus store, and the Science & Innovation Building. We take some time to visit the athletic facilities including the Athletic Center (Gym, Swimming Pools, Basketball Courts, etc.), the Championship Soccer Field, and Logan Field. We attend orientation and say goodbye to Jacob as he does some Student Only things. During the day, we enjoy lunch at Panwa Thai across the street from the University, Pagliacci Pizza for Dinner, and some dessert at Hello Robin (Ice Cream Cookies). It's a great day, but a little emotional.
Next Up: We enjoy a free day at Pike Place Market, brunch at Toulouse Petit, and say our final goodbye's to Jacob before returning home.

Sending our #2 off to College for his Freshman year was definitely tough, especially since he is so far away from us. Truly glad and blessed his big brother lives in Seattle. Travel Day is what it is, though we attempt to make it entertaining for us. Move In Day is always tough. It was with our first child and it is no different with our second. We did have a good day moving him into his new dorm, touring the Campion Hall, and taking part in the Seattle U Orientation process. Also, enjoyed some new food places, like Panwa Thai just across the street from the University, Pagliacci Pizza for some good pizza and salad, and some great dessert at Hello Robin. They use Molly Moon ice cream in their ice cream cookies and they bake their cookies in house. They are delicious, and you can mix and match. It was a sad, but a good and exciting day.
