@@aryanswonderworld3256 well with weapons such as swords and such as well as armour not really being used anymore, people don't make them as good as they did all those years ago because they don't need to. Difference being is one is a hobby, and the other being the backbone of an army.

This is so much better than Ink Masters. That show feels really toxic, but here it's all so chill and nice. Imma stay
Kinda ironic considering art and tattoos are suppose to be nice and calm while using weapons is suppose to be violent and destructive.
I think it's because there's some debate to be had over whether a tattoo is good or not. Here there's absolutely nothing to debate. You can visibly see your weapon being tested, and it's done in the exact same way as the other person's. It's even more cut and dry if your blade chips, bends or even flies out of its handle.
@@howareyoumoreofaclownthanme true, but the sportsmanship of the competitors in this show is wayyy better. I don't think ive ever seen someone on this show whining about why they lost. They shake hands and congratulate the winner. That's what we love to see

Saying Oklahoma always beats Texas is like when your 5 year old nephew says he can beat you up. Everyone laughs, pats his head and says "Of course you can kiddo! You're so strong!"
I hate it when your parents and aunts say that yet when you really fight him he will cry because of your scary aura
From "Oklahoma always beats Texas to I lost to a guy who builds armor quite often." That escalated quickly!
Imagine how embarrassed you would be if the strength test chopped your scissor in half

As a resident of Oklahoma I can 100% say that Texas sure is nice.
I am not forged knowledgeable but I enjoyed watching this and love seeing men being men I've always said you have to love men who build or create things because to me something made with ones hands is far more valuable and meaningful

Every time I hear them say "the scissor" I think "Kill La Kill was historically accurate?"
Those two men are geniuses. It's a shame one had to lose and the prize nir be split. JASONs' weapon went through the armour with a full thrust - AWESOME!
Lizzie Sangi remember it’s not what it does to the armor it’s what the armor does tho the blade
This is probably the most accurate,, it will cut,, that has ever been on the show.
What was the deal with the cheesy metal on metal sound effect during the strength test when the sword strikes the guard? It's simply not the sound you get from a blade striking sheet metal. The sound engineer needs to settle down lol

Don had 25 years of experience and the other dude never did armour who do you expect to win unfair
why was oklahoma so cocky then🤣
My dad
That was such a weak strength test LOL
I built mine expecting them to drive the points into a 16 ga steel gladiator helm and to beat it across the cuff with a gladius sword. The lever activated sword didn't look like it hit them very hard at all. Mine was heat treated/hardened chrome moly sheet metal. It took Dave five minutes off camera to even find where it hit mine. The air piston driving them into the breastplate wasn't what I was expecting. I really expected a puncture test. I tried driving mine through some steel and aluminum shields at my house. They never showed any of that footage, though. It was still a blast doing the show and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
oklahoma guy: ive never done armoring, but oklahoma always beats texas
texas guy: ive been doing armoring for 25 years

Good job reppin Texas!
I prefer that order of tests (sharpness - kill - strenght). Usually we see weapons losing sharpness due to hiting bones in the kill tests or during the strenght tests and end up doing poorly at the sharpness. using that order they test the sharpness at their best.
I get them putting the blade through the rigors because you might expect that in an old-timey combat situation. A gladiator might beat this thing into a shield and chip it and maybe sharpen it with a rock in his spare time.
and this is the HISTORY channel, so that is their thing.
Otherwise, everybody could just put their finest angle, and not worry about it. heck, I have a cheap kiwi brand kitchen knife I sharpened, the best knife, I need to steel it at least once a week to keep it sharp at all, but it's razor-sharp when it is. so yea, id highly agree if this was about swords for modern times, and i agree with certain swords like katana where you can expect a certain respect for the blade.
When Don said it hurt his hand after testing it, I thought for sure he was going to be out. Nice that the fellow Texan won though. Texas strong.
I never new people would be so happy to see that they could cut people’s gut out
theres a slight warp in it that keeps catching on the inner layer
Anybody else come to these types of videos just to hear Doug say “ It will KEEL”?

I thought the last challenge would be combat and winner would be the survivor 😂
I would like the show to re-create the hoplite shield with the 2” flat outer rim blade that was used with the Greek Xyphos sword
Imagine trying to block with that thing and you accidentally get your arm chopped off
