    How to add clothing from Daz on a metahuman character?

    • @Yepkoo
      @Yepkoo  Před rokem

      Hello,
      It can be done with 3 party programs.
      Unfortunately, Metahuman creator does not allow adding external clothing.
      There is no option to set the weights anyway.

    Why does the CC character at the end have hard shadows compared to the metahuman? Is this what we gain by converting them? I'm not so sure that it looks all that much better aside from the shadows. I can see way more detail on the skin of the CC character. The metahuman looks completely soft.

    • @Yepkoo
      @Yepkoo  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello
      In this video, I just showed how to produce a similar metahuman character from a CC character. This feature does not produce exactly the same character.
      For the shading and details you mentioned, you need to do extra work on the Metahuman character.

    • @Blastphemer
      @Blastphemer Před rokem +3

      the metahuman skin has way more subsurface scattering and its material shaders are optimized because its all unreal engine

    • @realtyrone
      @realtyrone Před rokem +5

      Let me answer your question. Firstly, doing this does not 'convert' anything. Mesh2Metahuman was made to quickly import 3D scans and add them to a Metahuman body, but instead of doing that only, we can utilize a bunch of other meshes. This means that no textures will convert over, it'll use Metahuman textures. As for the shadows, they both use different shaders. Metahuman was made by Epic, while CC was made by Reallusion, so obviously both have a different way of doing their texture setups. The "soft" look you see on the Metahuman, is merely a default skin that they use for a normal Metahuman. You can go and convert the textures, but it won't be a walk in the park. This method basically just takes the BASE MESH shape and makes it a Metahuman shape which can then be used to get a bigger variety of shapes in MH. That's all it is. No converting.

      I haven't tested new plugins with the CC3 character, but I don't think it's very important from which program the character is exported.
      In the video below I imported a CC4 character to UE.

      @@Yepkoo oh yes thats my intention. i want to customize my character in cc3 and then just wrap the metahuman mesh to the cc3+ mesh and then add the textures from cc. so it will be a metahuman but it will look just like my cc3+ character. and then iwant to use iclone to animation/pose the customized metahuman in unreal engine and render it there. is this possible please?

    • @Yepkoo
      @Yepkoo  Před rokem

      @@poochyboi The best thing you can do about it for now is to create a metahuman character similar to the CC4 character as I showed in this video. Then you can increase the similarity of the characters to each other by applying the CC4 texture. You can animate your metahuman character with iClone live link.
      But metahuman characters have a morph limit, at least for now. For example horn etc. You can't add extreme morphs like
      So your CC4 character must stay within the morph limits of metahuman characters.

    • @Yepkoo

      It cannot be used directly at the moment.

    Will the wrinkle system work after you edit your CC character in MetaHuman?

    • @Yepkoo
      @Yepkoo  Před rokem

      No, the crease system is character specific. Think of it like a make-up you apply to the character. So it's not a real-time feature. If the character does not have make-up, the make-up on the dummy character will not affect the actual character. If the metahuman character has his own wrinkle system, it will work independently of the live link.

    • @Yepkoo

      @@user-xm7sz4xo2z Facial animations work with livelink, but the wrinkle system you're talking about doesn't. When creating metahuman characters, it only takes the outline of the cc character. Actually, it's not an exact copy.

    • @Yepkoo
      @Yepkoo  Před rokem

      Hi,
      The same thing that I showed in the video is valid in the CC3 program.
      The important thing here is that you just need to include any character in your project to create a metahuman character by scanning.
      You can import it into your UE project by exporting as fbx from CC3.
