    I used to have the Viltrox, but I sold it and bought the Sigma, but.... now I miss the Viltrox. The Sigma, at least to me, is almost TOO sharp. And much heavier as well., Harder to use on a gimbal. It works, but the Viltrox is much more flexible when it comes to day-to-day having it on your camera. Also, the manual focus on the Viltrox is MUCH more consistent, even though it's focus by wire, it is much more repeatable than the Sigma, at least for me. Now I've used the Sigma quite a bit, and I just don't find myself falling in love with it, the way I have with my other lenses, each for different reasons. I already own a Samyang 12mm f2, and so, I'm good for ultra-wide, and so I think I might sell my Sigma and get the Viltrox back in my life. My work is filmmaking, and I found that for my professional work, I used the Viltrox much more when I had it, than I have used the Sigma since I got it. I find myself carrying the Sigma around all the time, to kinda convince myself of how awesome it is. I mean, it's certainly a great lens, but... not a great fit for me... Oh well, live and learn. ;)

      Viltrox is sharp enough. Sice i got it, I haven’t take it off the camera ☺️. Especially this 23mm is a sweet focal length and with the little wide angle filter trick (i have another video on this), it becomes very versatile ❤️

      May i ask why too sharp is a problem?

    • @RockWILK
      @RockWILK Před 2 lety

      @@linh4real338 To me, it's a matter of taste. Kinda like the difference between a vocalist with a clear, clean voice as opposed to someone like Bruce Springsteen. Some people like Christina Aguilera, and some prefer Bruce. Often times, people will use a lens like the Sigma 16mm, and find that they prefer the way it looks with a filter on it, to get more of a "film" look, as opposed to a "TV" kinda look, like the difference between watching the news and watching a movie. They look a lot different. And so, update to my comment on this video, I sold my Sigma and I'm now using a Sony Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2, and I like it much better, because it's not as "clean", although it's very sharp, it's got tons of character, meaning you can tell, 100%, that it's not a crystal clean sharp lens, but rather has some real character. Like mixing sound on a Neve board as opposed to a Sony digital board. Some people prefer the "grainy" sound that comes thru the Neve. It's all personal taste... Hope that helps... ;)

    thanks for the comparison video, i have 16mm 1.4 sigma and 56mm 1.2 fuji, i love the 56's bokeh, is it ok if i swap my 16 to 23 to get nicer bokeh? cause i found that 16mm bokeh set to 1.4 with 56mm set to 2.0 still cant fight the 2.0 56, is it because the range making it more bokeh? hope u understand what i mean 😣😣

    • @CasandraContora
      @CasandraContora  Před rokem

      23mm has a bit if a stronger bokeh than 16mm because of the compression of the focal length. Viltrox also has a nice swirly vintage kind of vibe which is nice. It’s a good in between lens if you already have the 16 and 56. 23 is gonna be a nice addition. I have the sigma 56mm as well, but i use the 23 most

    • @MR-mi2ci

      @@CasandraContora i was thinking of swapping the 16 with 23 cause 1st its too close and 2nd it has less bokeh, mostly use for portrait of a talents and artists, work in management company doing campaign, marketing, they love the 56 more than the 16 cause of the bokeh 😅😅 by the way thank you so much!
