How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on a 2001 BMW E39 525i/530i

In this video we correct a P0340 check engine light "Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Bank 1 Or Single Sensor" on a 2001 BMW E39 530i facelift model.
This BMW has the M54 engine, same instructions apply for any BMW variant with this engine.

Nice video. For anyone undertaking this replacement, it's worth taping/attaching a piece of wire to the connector end of the sensor before it pulling it out on the vanos end. It's easier to attach the replacement part to your piece of wire and back into position than trying to fish it through.
