I have to say thank you from the bottom of my head for this video. So someone that has never ever worked on a car . After watching this video I refuse to pay the 450 for my dealership to do it. I went and bought the part from auto zone. Follow this video and did it. I had a really hard time un clipping it took me one hour but I felt so freaking happy knowing I was able to accomplish this in my own. So I had to come on here and say thank you so much

Thank you for this video. I have a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and it just started giving me weird issues where it would stop running and when I turn it back on it would kind of sort of be running. It was very strange. Just ran a code checker and it came back with this crankshaft position sensor which is what regulates the fuel injector from what I'm reading. Kind of fits perfectly with the issue I've been having. Fix looks super easy!.

Thanks for the video I replaced my sensor yesterday, I have no mechanical background and I did it. For the people that have problems with the clip/bracket. The clip has a small space for a small flat head or knife to press in and then the clip slides off, remember to pull it upward towards you(Not from the bottom of the car). I hope this helps

I used this video to help me swap the sensor on a 2012 Elantra with my son. Initially, I bought an aftermarket sensor, which would work up to 4k RPM, which I drove on for the summer.
I had to take a road trip a few months ago, and I used this video again to swap to an OEM sensor that is now working perfectly.
On my second go around, I did not remove the plastic covers. It was a bit annoying, but certainly doable. All you need is a 10mm wrench. I did use the open end of a 19mm wrench to help lever out the old sensor, but it's not necessary.

Just did this on my 2014 Kia Forte lx. Relatively straight forward, only thing to keep in mind is that in my car, the harness where you clip the end of the sensor was mounted more firmly on this weird double bracket. Took a while to figure out but from the top of the car, there’s a little round button on the sensor that goes into that bracket and slides in for a mount. I used the end of a thin Allen wrench to poke out the button and slide out the old sensor. Putting the new one in just involved sliding it in and it clicked into place. Thanks again!

@@HidalgoMotorsCo I just checked the compression in all 4 cylinders. The test at ambient temps revealed a compression of 125 in all 4 cylinders. The manufacturing specs say that it should be at 165 at operating temps. Going to check fuel pressure next. I did a resistance test on the injectors with my multimeter and it returned 16.5 in all of the cylinders with the exception of a reading of 16.2 in the suspect cylinder. Is a .3 ohm difference enough to cause this issue? What’s more is, the specifications for the injectors are a minimum resistance of 13.8 and a max of 15.2. Just wanted to know if there is any sort of relearn procedure after replacing the crank sensor that I am not aware of. Also, while in park, if you give it gas and raise the rpms to 3500 it will start misfiring and the check engine light will blink briefly but no code is stored. Strange. Thank you again

So is p0335 the camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor? My car starts rough, stalls, and after I restart the car the rpms stop working

Replaced it on my '13 accent, but now it misfires badly or something. Jerking back and forward while driving. Does it need to be calibrated after installation?

That’s an excellent question. One is a camshaft sensor and the other a crankshaft sensor. Cam goes on top. Crank goes on the bottom. - hope we were able to help ! Thanks for watching!

  • @mediaanarchy-captaino8961

just did this yesturday but now the original problem is gone and a new one has arose. i think its stuck in limp mode because when i accelerate to pass or get on freeway the engine cuts out in a "chugging and jerking" motion and stops when you let off the gas. no new codes, considering a possible defective new sensor ? didnt do that before sensor replacement.
    use scanner, relearn...problem solved
