Apparently, after the studio liked the first Fatal Fury with Geese, they gave the guys who made these the full authority to do the second with Krauser how they wanted, which is why the fights are better, the story is better, and Krauser is made into such an awesome character.
The whole reason Terry and Andy came back to Southtown was because of the 10 year anniversary of their father's death. The tournament was happening which gave them a chance to take out Geese
I saw metal-plated baseball caps for sale in NYC at about the same time I first saw the Fatal Fury Motion Picture. I thought, "Look, Terry Bogard hats!" But obviously someone somewhere is wearing them (or was, in the mid-90s)...
Actually, Master Tung's death is probably a refrence to Benkei, who died a standing death due to the adrenalin causing rigor to set in with in moments after he died.
To be fair, in Terry's defense. Most fighters don't always bounce back from an ass kicking like that without a trip to the bar and a moment to ponder about their life choices. XD
fun fact, the voice actors of the fatal fury movies are the same cast as you'd see in shows like X-men Evolution, various Gundam series, ed edd and eddy, the original DBZ dub and the current MLP, just to name a few
Sage, this is anime, he probably saw six teal-haired women on the way to the supermarket.

"If you still want her, she's yours!"
"Le LadyBoy" Holy shit that is the best debauchery neon street sign ever.

"That's why Geese attacked."
Invites a guy out to drink to just get drunk and shoot the breeze with no innuendo...yep, this was the 90's.
"GET OUT OF THE STREET YA FUCKIN' BUM!"
"Jello. My name is Terry Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
I gotta say, I'm disappointed that they didn't make an anime out of Fatal Fury 3.
Sage's Bane is one of the funniest things...
That mic drop gag had me rolling. Expertly timed.
"Your going Down MAn!" "Double Reppuken!" "Aaaahhh!"
