Sage mentioned Agent Aika was made by teh same dude who did Project Aiko and I have noted that Project Aiko was made in 1986 and Gainax's signature work, GunBuster, was made in 1988 and that both shows share a fondness for being over the top and filled with in jokes, references and puns around anime. Kill La Kill, even with a twenty three year and a whole genre wide gap between them, is still a descendenant of GunBuster so it might just be the logical conclusion that anything influenced by Project Aiko will eventually produce weird ass satirical sexual anime.

yes back in the 90s many non japanese dubs were terrible (it even makes it hard for me to watch Saga`s anime reviews). Thanks god it got better over the years. As much as i miss the hand drawn look of the 90s anime i dont miss the awful voice acting

I remember renting this from Blockbuster back when they were transitioning from VHS to DVD in the early 2000s. While I enjoy shameless T&A in my anime and manga every now and then, I'll have to agree that this OVA series was pure overkill. In my humble opinion, the only way this could have been worse is if Masami Ohbari worked on it. Good Lord, not only would there be shameless T&A galore, but there would also be brainless action and lots of explosions. I will say that if I saw this at the age of 14, I'd be buying a fuckload of Kleenex, if you know what mean.

"Sex and sexual identity are not inherently bad, not when you do it willingly yourself or with a partner. But forced sexualization, without consent, is horrifically morally wrong. The former is shown in the lady leads gaining strength from confidence in their own bodies, and the latter is shown in the villain's powers leading back to controlling others through forced sexualization." It has a point, it goes beyond the standards of the genre. And all while making viewers not just using it for a wank, think much deeper about rampant fanservice in anime, and how exploitative it can be for everyone involved.
Agent Aika is sort of my favorite guilty pleasure bad anime. I love it's art style of mid' 90's character design by Noriyasu Yamauchi, the soundtrack and it's wacky characters. Central Park Media isn't at fault for 11:52. Unfortunately it's the same in the rather good Japanese dub and seems to be production's mistake. 16:08 Nena Hagen actually doesn't comment on Aika's "outfit" but on how taciturn she all of a sudden became (in the Japanese dub). Then she tries to make her speak by slamming her with the gun.

The only way the "As you know" line could work is that if the character is informing the other characters something they don't know and that is related to what they do know.

As for the fan service and all that, I honestly find it hard to believe this anime was even close to be intended as something to take seriously. Between the spanking, the panties, the yuri and the tentacles this OVA is meant to be fun. And aside from the two badies no one else dies so it doesn't seem to be all that heavy either.
