A few products from this review were sent to me by Banggood for testing.
This does not mean that I do get all my products. I review also a lot of products I bought myself.
I started these reviews because from my experience not every tool from China was worth buying. So I wanted to make in-depth reviews to show you which products you should consider and which product you better leave alone. The fact that Banggood sent me products occasionally does not change the way I make my reviews. I still give in-depth reviews and give you my honest opinion!
On this, you can count on!
I have a good experience with Banggood.com and they have a lot of woodworking tools nicely organized on their site.

Good looking out Dennis! I got 3 of these, and so far they are performing beautifully! Thank you :)
Dennis, great channel and videos, I am binge watching the China tools episodes, its nice to have someone else take the guesswork out of the good from the not so good. Already got a couple of things on order! Good work

Dennis, thank you for making woodworking more approachable and affordable for people like me. I really want to grow my skills and experience with different tools but sometimes the cost to do so makes it difficult to justify. I am looking forward to your new shop videos. Thanks again and congratulations on all your success with the channel.

Hij hoort nog verborgen te zijn! Maar leuk dat jij hem al heb gezien. Groetjes
Dennis, I'd be interested in a video about planning your new workshop. Big machine and workbench siting, but also tool storage planning, and planning for storage of sandpaper, screws, glue etc, ask the stuff that needs somewhere to go.
Thanks, I will see what I will address in the different video's but I think I will address these points in different videos
I also need massive help with putting a shop together and *especially* organization haha
There are literally 100s of video on youtube about workbenches from small to massive milwakee workbench.
@@Z-add Lovely. That's not what I asked about though.
Can't wait to see the new workshop! My first one will be finished soon and guess who inspired me? :)
Thanks Dennis
Heel veel plezier met het organiseren van je nieuwe werkplaats. Ik zie het in het nieuwe jaar allemaal wel verschijnen. Die van mij wordt in juli 2022 gebouwd. ;-)
Looks amazing
Good stuff! Maybe I should get the fence. I need to make a nice router table. But I guess I need to wait until next year for your review of the lift + motor when it's in your new shop :) And those spiral bits are awesome! I bought a longer one a little while ago and it's so nice to use!
Hi Dennis, interesting new products again! I hope more versions of it will become available for 'metric' routers, as I only have 8 and 12mm shanks for my routers. I suppose 12.7 will not fit... In Belgium we would say: dju toch! :-)
Excellent as always Dennis. I bought some of those top bearing (router side) compression pattern bits and I 100% agree. I've had the ¼ inch version for a while and just got the ½ inch shank, ⅞ inch diameter bit the other day and I'm super impressed. I do agree that they could be packed a little better. Also, W-New makes some seriously nice stuff but they need to work on packaging too. I got an item last week that was just wrapped in foam and a bag. It is damaged in several places but it still seems usable.
Luckily more and more products become better packed. The bits are not bad packed, (My 95 euro bit had the same packaging) but I still think they can improve on that part. I agree with you on the difference between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. They look so much more impressive, but are also so much nicer to work with. Thanks for your commend.
Another Top - err or bottom- story, Denis! Best of luck building your new workshop! Best whishes! __Frank
See you soon. All the best.
Great video once again Dennis, thanks!
Ordered one right away!
I bought and reviewed the New tablesaw fence a while back (it’s awesome!), and it seems that it’s using the same mitre/t-track. Since I have a table saw router combo I was wondering if they could share the same track back to back?
Can you tell the track width on this one?
Hi Dennis, what pleasant surprise again! Great video! I was already looking at the spiral bits, so this was again very welcome. It's a shame that I have to wait this long for the next video. I'm allways looking forward to them.
I have a question regarding the spiral bits. Since I have none... which would you advise me to buy? Because compression ones seem the obvious choice. Wil only 'the beast' suffice? Or also one of the long compressed ones? So maybe the short version is: what of the reviewed spiral bits would be a great 'set' to own? With BF I will invest in these so make the best selection. :-)
Hope you film the building of your shop and post next year
If you want an inexpensive way to make highly accurate adjustments on your fence, inlay a small steel plate to attach an indicator with a magnetic base… makes most needed adjustments a one time process.
I tried some solid carbide bits years ago and had problems with the bearings coming off. I notice they are still using the same system on some bits with a press fit collar that is supposed to hold the bearings on - it doesn't, it just works loose and flies away into the darkness, then the bearings come off and go the same way. Some bits I see now have a lock nut on the end, a much better system and they can even do it on 1/4" bits these days.
Hi Dennis, another great video. I am starting to build a router table and this is very timely. I was waiting to see what you thought of the Wnew router lift you installed in your last video. Any sneaky insights on your thoughts about the router lift??
This router fence is now increased in price to 230USD (converted from 203GBP). Quite the jump.
Those green featherboard look interesting...are they banggood items as well?
Easy to use
Thank you very much, Dennis.
I would love a few video in December how you plan you shop. Even unedited on a 2nd channel...
I will think about it😀
Thanks for many nice videos of the more affordable parts Dennis. If you have not considered it already, could we request a video about the durability and sharpness of the chinese copies?
If you need to gauge your micro-adjustments, use a dial indicator zeroed to the fence.
Hi, could you tell me what the black material is that you use, is it a type of MDF?
Well Dennis, you have convinced me that this is a good option to go with and will see what the price is tomorrow. I was not far out with my guess at your Rating 😁.
As you say, you can always add an Incra Wonder Fence in the Future. I did wonder why you had placed your T-Tracks so far forward of the Router Bit but it does look better and gives lots of additional clamping options.
I am considering adding an extra short length of T-Track so that the Fence can be turned through 90 Degree's to allow for routing very long boards. Good look with your new Workshop.
Hi Colin, Black Friday have already entered. I would not wait because mostly things run out of stock pretty fast when I test it positive 😀😀
Other CZcamsrs: I can only show this fence because it doesn’t fit my router table
Dennis: let’s build a new table for this video.
👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻
That guy must be crazy :-))
Hello Dennis! I`m curious if the top slot on the fence is a standard M6 t-track? I have a Katz-Moses stop block which attachés on the top of my band saws fence and I‘m wondering if it would work on this one as well?
Hallo Dennis, great reviews on the Bangood tools. I have just received my first BG delivery and thanks to your reviews I have purchased otherwise unafordable tools I would have hesitated to buy. I would like to find 8mm shank versions of these router bits. Have you seen any on BG?
Taken your advice and purchased the Dowling jig from Bangood. I need to make some drawers out 15mm ply, do you think I can get away using an 8mm dowel with 15mm ply as normally the advice says not to use more that 50% of the material in dowel? Many thanks.
Dennis, Thankyou for sharing your research and recommendations. I'm interested in the router table fence from Bangood, but I notice in your video that the shipping to the Netherlands is free, but to the US in Wisconsin it costs $83.96 from CA, which adds 50% to the cost delivered. Don't understand the different policy on shipping to Europe vs the US. Is there something I am missing here?
Hi Dennis. Thanks for the review and recommendation. I've seen all of your videos and appreciate the thorough, professional and unbiased approach that you follow. A few minutes ago I finally took the plunge (intended) and bought the Banggood 1/2" compression bit. I've not bought from Banggood before so we'll see how it turns out. I've longed for this style bit from Whiteside or Amana, but simply could not justify the expenditure for hobby woodworking. Thank you for reviewing these bits: it reassured me that I would not risk being disappointed with the purchase.
One random thought: could we eliminate the up/down confusion by referring to the direction of chip removal with respect to the bit shaft? Toward the shaft or away from it, your choice to figure out if it's up or down relative to the workpiece and/or the table. Or am I missing something?
If you get it, it is not difficult anymore. But to get it, you should understand how it works. But it is a bit confusing. Best is to accept that they call the shaft the upper side. And then it cuts up, towards the shaft, or down towards the tip of the bit.
Dennis, I want to share my experience with Banggood, I have shopped with them for several years now. I ordered the 1/2 bearing flush trim bit.
Right after your video published I mean with in minutes. The stock indicated it was in stock they took my payment 2 days latter I got an email saying that they sold out. Another product that I ordered on November 5 was clamps for a work bench with dog holes. They sold out of those too, when I ordered the clamps they indicated they were in stock. Today December 6, I got an email saying my order was canceled for the clamps.
It seems Banggood sells items that they do not have stock. I am not happy with there service.😩🛫
Hi Dennis, will this router fence attach directly to the LS Positioner?
Tip and base/collet/shank
Which version of the Wnew router lift are you using and do you use the AEG 1400 with it?
Hi Dennis, I've got a couple of these spiral bits but I find keeping them clean is difficult. Any tips?
I wonder if the fence can handle the push force from a small power feeder?
Hi Dennis. I am impressed by your approach to workshop design and the quality of tooling. I have therefore started to source some of my tools from Bangood. I have been concerned however at the confusing policy of Bangood vis a vis charges when the product is delivered to the EU and a potential scam by their transporters. Bangood claim that VAT (sales tax) is included in the price but whenever a parcel arrives there is an additional charge to pay. This should not happen after July 2021, however, it is happening. You can of course claim it back from Bangood, but not any part of the fees awarded to the transporter (because they have processed an erroneous VAT claim on behalf of the tax authorities). Assuming your order is below 150 euros this is potentially a scam on the part of the transporter. They are claiming for something that they do not have a right. Bangood have already paid the transporter and so they need to speak to their transporter to stop this practice otherwise I will not continue to buy from them. To give you an idea of the charge. I was charged 11.50 euros on the value of an order declared to be 20 euros (57%!!!!!!).
That should not happen. I never had to pay extra shipping costs after july and I never heard it before! Which country is it
