I would like to see you create a workbench interesting a router and table saw in same bench too, if that is something you’ve thought about doing?
A lot of the time, people automatically assume that because of where the product is produced, it must not be a good tool. From now on, those people should be pointed towards this video. Just the fact that a company not only listened to suggested changes, they took the advice of one of the bigger names reviewing tools, and they worked with him and gave him the credit in the design change. That is extremely f**king impressive.

Ik zat hier stiekem al met smart op te wachten! Sinds de vorige video al naar de lijst met vergelijkbare producten te kijken maar niets is zo mooi of heeft een dergelijke prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Wow!! Awesome T ruler. Any chance they will make an imperial version for us non metric folks? Really LOVE the quality and features!
Just received mine and had to review this video to see how to detach the head from the ruler. Mine is very very stiff/tight. Did not separate as easily as you show in the video. Now I don't expect to use this feature that often. But one could say this is a feature - so it stays square.
Hi Dennis, what is your preferred configuration/setup for a cross cut sled? Do you think a quality miter gauge with fence attachments is adequate?

Only missing one more element in the design is a spring-loaded roller on the opposite side of the stop, so that you don't have to keep perpendicularity yourself, and adjust for different widths of the processed panel.

Hi. Could you do another episode on the Wnew doweling jig going into a bit more detail. For example what are the 4 jackscrews used for, component "D". Could you ask Wnew to come out with a little better manual. It's better than most though.

Great product and enhancements. Is there any way in which a modification could be done to the hilt which would allow for angle usage using a pin indexer to have angle capability between -47 / +47 degrees. That would make it the ultimate tool and almost guaranteed to make it the best combination t-square on the market..

Hello Dennis, really enjoy your videos, just so you know I ordered the metric version of this on the day the video dropped and it noted 23rd March shipping date, since order shipping has slipped to 2nd May 2024. Even looking if you order it today its saying ship by 31st March. So it seems Hongdui / Banggood are misleading customer on shipping / lead time for the item. Worth noting as you're attaching you name to this product.

Anyone know what size the drill guids are for the imperial version?
Hi Dennis, I bought this the same day you released this video and recieved it yesterday. It looks like advertised and well designed. I have some further recommendations though.The milled-out pockets (part of the ruler connection) are fairly rough and sharp. Easilly improved with some light sanding of all sharp edges and not a big issue. Once sanded it slips together just a bit nicer (added some grease to prevent wear as well).
The small alignement line (@6:43) is not present in my version...
In the manual it mentions the dimensions of the silver T-part, with the 1" width and 45degr for using on saw tables. It would be very easy to laser-etch these dimensions on the parts (as the are etching you logo on it anyway!!!). Maybe give them a call again? Thanks for the recomendation! Best value for money tool I have in the shop!
I'm in the same boat as you in regards to the alignment line not being there. Guess it's something we can probably carefully mark in ourselves.
@@shaunofthadead I think they changed the design, as the 4 locking guides (with the drill guides an drawing guides in it) they have an alignment notch milled out of it. Could this be the replacement?

Can you tell me exactly how close to 90° is your square ?
For mine, on 500mm distance it is 1,5 mm out of square. I've verified it with my trusty square ( marking a line and flipping the square, i have the reference square exactly on the line, checking the Hongdui on the same line, it's out). Marking a line with hongdui and flipping it, it's also out.
As a bonus, I receive mine without the center line mark on the base, wich is a shame... The support tell me to make the mark myself... and doesn't asnwer me for yet regarding the squareness... 200€ (with accessories) and I have a square.... that is not square.
But knowing your precision, I was hoping you can tell me if yours is perfectly square (I assume it is because you checked it with your UJK square).

I purchased one of these shortly after your FIRST review.
As soon as it arrived I found out how tight and difficult it was to detach/reattach the end piece.
As I am not doing much at moment (post surgery) I put it to one side.
Then I saw your review which now highlighted the very flaws I had found. And talked about a redesigned one.
I tried to get a refund from Banggood on grounds that it was not really fit for purpose and to buy the revised version, but the cost of return (from Australia) is ludicrous and they closed the thread very quickly, after offering me a piffling amount in dollars in compensation .. ~$10 I think it was
Are you able to prevail upon them to do something to rectify this situation?

Hi Dennis, do you know what size the metric drill guides are that come with the metric T-Square. It only states 2 sets? Is it 2 sets of the full guide set (I.e. 3,4,5&6) ? As the pictures only show 4 drill guides in total. Thanks and congrats on your branded tool.
Hi, they confirm to me that it will come with 2 complete sets of 3,4,5 and 6 mm bushings. So 8 in total. Otherwise it would also not make sense to place two drill modules. Good you asked!

Hey Dennis - very awesome tool... but the price is spicy too.
I have a question on your black MDF. How do you create this beautiful finish for the surface? Sanding, Oiling, Waxing etc? What is your procedure?
The finish on my black MDF is with monocoat pure. sometimes I do the sides twice with some sanding in-between. They say it will not matter, but for me in combination with black MDF it creates a very smooth finish.

It’s refreshing to see a Chinese company that isn’t just stamping out cheap knockoffs. Beautiful tool and although $150 isn’t cheap, you can easily spend that much on an equivalent high quality square that does nothing but square.

At 5.55 you say that there are two drill modules included and at 9.55 you say that there are 2 marking modules included.
But according to the product description on Banggood, there ist only one drill module and one marking module included. Could you please clarify that ? It should be clear if there are 2 or 4 modules in total included, because buying two modules would be equivalent to additional ~ 35 €.

Hi, thanks for you comment. You are right. They confirmed to me that there will be 2 drill modules and 2 line modules. So, I contacted them also among with some other points. They are now sleeping but told me that they will update the description for them this morning. Please wait for the full description when you want to be 100% sure.
Wow, what a cool product ! One question: As I work very often with 8mm wooden dowels it would be absolutely great if 8mm drilling bushes would be available. Is there a chance... ?
I think it will be critical with the thickness of the drill guide. But perhaps, especially because we narrowed the base of the drill guide for more strength of the ruler itself.
Hi great tool. I went to the Web site. The description states you only get 1 set of drill bushings not one for each one. And there is no link to additional drill guides
Thanks for your reaction, they sleeping right now, but they told me they change the text early in the morning. They told me it will come with two drill guides and two drawing modules. The link to the drill guides I just place into the description. But I think that need as work as well. So, I expect they have this fixed tomorrow morning.
