Thanks for the updated video on what item that you found that we good to buy in your opinion, I was mostly interested in that router radius corner chamfering tool, plus the router setup bars, but the whole video was helpful for someone like me who is just starting out on a budget.
Have you ever thought about building a slab table? Not necessarily a river table but just any kid of slab table. I’d love a build video of that. And I already know how successful slab table build are on CZcams. Something you should definitely consider!
Found your channel and got the inspiration to start woodworking as a side hustle. Maybe even one day full time! I'm also from Arkansas, so seeing that you are too is awesome. Thanks for the inspiration and building advise!! WPS!
I got the paint cones too. Here's a tip: because they leave scratches easily because they are pointed, put a piece of tape or on the tip or even dip it in epoxy for a smooth surface.
Good I love cheap good stuff. When I was a kid I was always fascinated with the Ben Franklins and other 5 and 10 cent store. Dollar Tree and flea markets. I don't need or want the stuff but it is amazing to me when you can get genuine useful stuff so cheap. Thanks.
Those little trays with an inspirational quote would sell like fire! Be excellent to add to savings for your next big tool! I like to make my woodshop pay for itself!
Thank you for showing the OK items from Temu. That will help me alot. I also get the mini or midi crafts items from Temu for the Kids so they can paint them and hang them up on the Christmas Trees. God Bless you.
Thanks, Matt. I've also had mixed luck with Temu. That pry bar is a hive tool for beekeeping.
After watching your vids on Ryobi tools I am now the owner of most of the gooduns thanks to you & your reviews they are all outstanding work horses for the D I Y r thankyou so much for taking the time & risk of buying all the tools & testing them keep up the good work
This is awesome actually!!! I've been hesitant about buying products from this site. One thing that I have had my eyes on was some of the after market replacement miter gauges for table saws ( and some other table saw accessories) that are offered. If you or anyone else has "braved" the cost of testing out some of the miter gauges, please let me know.
They are very expensive, they range from $30 to $60 bucks or so..... nothing outrageously priced, but when you live on an extremely tight budget, every little dollar counts!!!!
Again, thanks for any type of information!!
Hi Matt! I love your videos! I get lots of inspiration and inFORmation on subjects I never would have thought of. So, thank you for sharing your talent with us. Just so you know, I had to call Temu customer support once and actually asked about the pronunciation and... well... you're doin' it wrong! lol It's a LONG e with emphasis on the first syllable: "TEE-moo." Thanks for sharing the good the bad and the ugly so those of us just starting out don't waste money on junk that doesn't work (i.e. the handheld router you tried - I ALMOST bought one!) Have a Happy, Healthy and Blessed Not Stressed New Year!
36 degree would probably be for something 10-sided, or 5-sided depending on how you're cutting things.
Thanks for checking them out. It's good to know you can find quality products for considerably less money. Now I can get some things I've been hesitant to because of the prices. I'm impressed! 😊😊😊
I also got the machinist square, and mine was dead-on accurate too. Pleasant surprise!
I've bought a LOT of small tools from Temu and the only one I've had a problem with was the countersink bit. I used it on a steel bed frame I was repurposing and they dulled after just a few seconds of use. They would probably work fine on wood, but they were supposedly titanium, so I figured they'd be fine.
Don't forget that steel bed frames are made of tempered steel, they are extremely hard and tough or any drill or countersink to get thru.
quick google on drilling steel bed frames would have saved you a lot of trouble.
Estás herramientas hacen los mismo que las costosas y hacen bien el trabajo. Por cierto, también en AliExpress se encuentran estos productos y me parece que un poco más económicos. Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
I hadn't even heard of Temu until I saw ads on Facebook for an aluminum crosscut thing for a table saw. It was like $39 so I immediately figured it was trash. It would be interesting to see those tested because it *looks* like the ones selling for several hundred dollars.
Matt, Just a note about your comment with the "T-tracks and arriving safely with their shipping technique. I ordered a set of 2 of their T-tracks, and they arrived in fine shape. Howvere, not being metric savvy, I ended up with 30 30mm tracks. I re-ordered the appropriate 19mm ones which equate to the 3/4" imperial measurement. They also arrived as straight as an arrow. So, I'm 4 for 4 on straight tracks 😁
Love your channel and your subtle messages, Keep the inspiration coming.
Good video Matt. Lots of good stuff. Tried to get a couple of items but sold out. I am on the notify list.🙂
Occasionally a different vendor will have the same item. There should be a "shop similar" button on the sold out item. When it takes you to a different vendor they are often the exact same product. Not ALWAYS, mind you (so don't come and say I said ALWAYS lolol), but OFTEN! Have a great day and happy Temu shopping! 🙂
Thanx so much for this video. I couldn't even make it halfway thru your Temu Trash video the other day. I'd seen Matthew Peech's Temu Trash video, too (I couldn't make it thru it either), & had pretty much written them off.
Nice to see few them hidden gems there matt am gonna take punt on few more things shortly 🏴👍
I keep several of those sanding mice in my shop, one for each grit sanding disk I have. I mark them with a black Sharpie marker so I don't have to guess which grit I'm grabbing. When the sandpaper wears out, I replace it with the same grit.
Thanks for the tip
Those set up gauges are tempting
Thanks for the video!
Those notebooks look like air hockey tables! 😂
Ok, what is with the baby hippo? Love it!
Don’t know about the 36 but 35.3 is for a compound miter when cutting crown flat that has 45° spring angle. That’s the closest thing I can think of.
Matt, I did not read through all of the 170+ comments, but the 36º setting on the angle gauge is for, among other things I guess, laying out and cutting 5 point stars. The process I'm familiar with uses 36º and the complimentary 54º angle
Or because it is 1/10 of a circle 360
Also, 1/10th of your mom.
Thanks for the video you could do a video showing a laser engraver for the tray
He doesn't have a laser engraver
Thats just an idea for a review video maybe
I think the 36 degree is so you can divide a circle into 10 segments? or if you were to cut 36 of the ends of 5 boards you could put them together to make a pentagon.
4:42 I needed a laugh. Thanks, Brother. 😂🤘
Every thumbnail this dude looks like he’s seeing his first pair of knockers 😂
But you clicked 😂 so it’s working. 👊🏻
You mentioned a good set of Forstner bits on one of your videos, and now I can't find it. Thanks, Larry A.
Thank you!
I tried paint cones, but they left marks on my guitar finishes. Is there a way to avoid that? Depending on the build, some guitars are easier to finish while lying flat. But finishing one side at a time doubles drying times.
We buy “Hyde “ bars, flat pry bars for like $4 at the local stores
I just watched a news video out of Chicago tv news in which they reported that temu app was to be avoided due to severe privacy issues. My wife has ordered from them a few times and no problems but she uninstalled due to that video. Was wondering if anyone has had issues with them besides sometimes cheap products.
not had issue but saw similar video and have deleted it
I have a strange issue. I keep getting a bunch of 1m long led strip lights in the mail. They're being sent to me using a different email and card but with my address. Since it's a different email, it's a different account, therefore I can't access it to change it. I'm not being charged anything. It almost seems like trolling. lol. I deleted my account immediately but they still come in the mail every few months. So I have about 20+ 1m long led strip lights that aren't interconnectable haha
I know I need to contact them
@@ttapion1 😂😂
Also, I did order some of these lights last year on alibaba to see if it would actually arrive. I never ordered them on temu. Weird!
Temu is good for fishing lures and I bought some hey dude look-alikes for $15.. I did buy a $2.49 speed square with a level, which was cheaper than my $99 trig jig 😂😅🤣
And a pocket hole jig for $9. I haven't tried yet 😅
The prybar is a blunt bee keeper scraper! lol
Lol no it isn't
I thought the same.
It's identical to my hive tool!
Man I been watching you a long time. Please don't fall victim to the "all thumbnails have to make it look like I'm trying to get more than one hot dog in my mouth at the same time" thing.
Love the channel, just curious where you get your t-shirts from 😁🔥
Please do the light shine test when eg showing if machinist square is flush
Good videos, to the point with no umming and arring.
just started watching this one and the yellow pointed triangles for painting, do they leave a dent in the other side? Had some similar round ones from amazon with a silicon base and black inserts with a tiny point for the purpose of lowest contact with paint or sealer. They put tiny divots everywhere they touched the surface.
they can if the project is heavy enough
It was simple pine 1x4s for staining both sides and length was 3ft pcs
@@keithf5236Anything will dent pine. But I’ve had them dent maple too.
@@Sam_Franciskinda bummed bc I figured the short sections of 1x4s would of weighed less to not do that. Disappointing so many creators say there great for painting and staining and giving a false hope it doesn't mar the surface.
@@keithf5236sand down the points or epoxy them, seems fairly simple. Or even put tape on them, like 3+ layers of tape. I do this with a lot of projects, mostly using pine cuz its easy to get free scrap pine wood so I've learned to build on a budget
Hey mate, T bevel gauge has 36 degrees for pentagonal mitres
Did you check the ruler’s inch markings against a trusty ruler like a woodpecker?
You missed an opportunity to use the scene from My Cousin Vinny when the prosecutor says "Identical" for the tire patterns. You nailed the King Neptune scene.
TEMU also sells plastic welding/repair material. If you break them, you can purchase the fixing material
Nice job .
I got the same kinda wrench tray at harbor freight pretty cheap
Good to know that there are some good buys out there and they work without blowing a lot of cash
36 is one tenth of 360 degrees. So you could make a ten sided shape (measuring the outside angle from straight across)
36 degrees is the common measurements for a set of stairs. With the standard tread depth of 10" and rise of 7¼"
36`is for cutting crown molding I think
I love temu! Bought so much . 99% of stuff was excellent!
nice clean review of good products, I have bought some of them already and used them.
Saved this one.
I believe you tried something new in this video by using a meme or whatever you call it (lol). You nailed it, I laughed. Well done.
What brand of toolbox do you have in your shop? I'm looking for options for my garage.
Husky
Great video as always Matt love the smell the same made me laugh out loud the first time you said it. Will have to check out a few of these items.thanks for sharing as always
Thanks!
I just spent $200 on there… that thing is a rabbit hole 😯
Great video. Haven't purchased anything from this company yet but now will at least check it out. Also thought the Sponge Bob reference was quite funny!
Thanks!
Dude! The Sponge Bob bit had me laughing!
That glue brush set with glue tray and spreader looks like a direct knockoff of Rockler’s. Not right and also not a good endorsement of it for that same reason. Just my 2 cents.
The ones rockler sells are probably made at the exact same factory as the temu ones. Rockler or kreg dont own a factory that makes their products, they outsource. No reason to pay for the name.
36 degrees is used for making a pentagon shape.
You have a 3D printer. Paint cones are now essentially free.
Feeler gauge same price at harbor freight
36 degrees is 10% of a circle.
I like your t-shirts.
36 degrees is making miter cuts on molding laying flat
At first i thought you were helping us newbies out. The more i watch your channel the more i noticed your auras are "buy this buy that, you need this you need that!!! "
I think a lot of the Chinese MFGs have figured out that a lot of people - especially here in the US - will buy on price and can provide decent stuff at a good price. The company that continues to impress me is Wen. Their stuff is good.
36° maybe for 1/10 of a circle but i dont know.
2023: “dot journal”
2024: “731 Bullet Journaling Tips and Tricks”
😂 awesome idea.
It looks like I will be getting myself a hidden gem or three!!!
So many little goodies!!! Stocking suffers people!!!
That's right, I'm talkin Christmas!!!
Thanks Matt all these are good to know and a fair comment. Actually I purchased the Kreg Gauges that I purchase when you first illustrated them and their one of the most used tools in my shop. God bless and peace be with yo and your family!
I have a great video topic for you. "Great American Made Tools." How about that. I know that there are millions of woodworkers out there that love woodworking and all the cool tools that go along with that. The issue is so many of them are made by China, our known enemy and we are not so much motivated to help them beat us by buying their tools. Call it what it is. So we would love to see you and your colleagues promoting great tools made in the good ole USA.
The 36° is just a 10th of a circle
If you get something you do not like they instantly refund your money.. Some items if left in your cart Temu will offer a big discount. It seems completely random.. I got that digital angle finder for under 7 bucks when an offer popped up.. AND those silicone mats are almost completely heat proof...
The only thing I can think of for the 36 degree stop is that 360 / 36 = 10
36 degrees for a 6 sided object
That was supposed to be 5 sided sorry hit wrong key
Isn't 36 one-tenth 360?
Do you have any other suggestions for Domino tenon alternatives?
Man, everything in my Temu ads is under $5. I didn't realize they sold anything for $30. LOL
I like how you're honestly smelling things to say they smell the same lol
No links, no list of products mention 😕
links are in the description of the video
There are reports coming in about the Temu app accessing more data on phones than they are supposed to be. Might be worth avoiding recommending them as they may be collecting data on userscessing more data on phones than they are supposed to be. Might be worth avoiding recommending them as they are believed to be mass collecting data on their users
Any app from China is collecting your data. Might as well give them you SSN and bank routing number.
@@TM_Stonecorrection. Every country is collecting data, it's not just China... America does it too, sorry to wake you up to reality lol CZcams is doing it as well chief. Good job. I swear yall must of seen this on CNN or fox and thats all you worry about cuz that's all they told you to worry about. Absolutely ridiculous how many comments on here trash talking temu meanwhile they're not the first by any means to do anything new. Collect data, steal your info.... what tech company doesn't do that? When you download an app and they demand access to your gallery/images and to your microphone, have ya ever wondered why? They can record you anytime they want
TaMoo or TeeMoo?
Potayto potahto, tomayto tomahto
When’s the last time you actually built something? 😂
4 weeks ago. But you didn't see it because not many watch the builds which is why I don't do many. 🤷🏻♂️
36 x 10 = 360. The 36 degrees is if you want to do some type of decahedron setup maybe
I THINK THE 36 DEGREE IS FOR CROW
Dammit. So much for me not buying any more stuff from Temu.....
Tee-mew not te-moo😆
Bald! Great job.
36 x 5 = 180; 36 x 10 = 360
Ahh. Thanks!
didn't i just watch your video where you dissed every tool including some you are now praising. looks like someone got paid off!
No. You watched the previous video of the tools I didn't like. These are the ones I did. Temu paid me exactly $0 to make this video 🙄
