Yeah, Iâm a 78 year old fan boy that canât tell you how much I enjoy you kids! Say what you will about the Internet, but your visits make me laugh, smile and warm my heart. (And forget about aches, pains and Doctors) Iâm sure there are thousands of others that feel the same way. Love from us!
Touch'e Gary..WeLL SaID!!..đđ!!
đŻ
Right there with you Gary, cheers Bud!
Totally agree they are good people with big hearts
Just turned75 and totally agree!!! I look forward to the adventures of the kids.
Two old ladies trying to get the front parking spot at WalmartâŠ.. laughed for five minutes. Still laughing. So true.
đ€Łđđ€Łđ
Love that thank you !!
I couldnât/wouldnât do that. I too like elbow room if not solitude. Iâd have skedaddled out of there. đ
Just love looking at the inside of your boat! The way you chose to lay it out and design the storage is just fantastic. It now looks so organized and neat without âstuffâ in view. Great job guys.
Correct đ Every time you see Larryâs exception lamination of the bulkhead, cut-off mast gasket bolts ⊠everything. It was just a STUNNING refit. Think the same every time I watch ⊠and so far, nothing is coming adrift đ
Itâs an interesting juxtaposition of the clean minimalist decor against the backdrop of their colorful personalities.
Love seeing Bear out there with you when sailing sheâs living the life also !
That was a great shot! Almost thought they got a second cat.
Great video! My love and I are 80. You are living my dreams.Bless you both.
By the way the floating Pizza BOAT...........GENIUS!!!!!!!
Having pops onboard gave new meaning to Good, Bad & Ugly. đ
Right on guys! It's good to see Kristan dancing , smiling and being happy over something like a pizza. Keep on keeping on guys, lov ya
Bear looks relaxed on this trip.
I can tell you really love your old man Matt...easy to tell how choked up you were saying good bye. Wish mine was still around.
Just have to say Miss Kristin you looked even more Beautiful than ever in this episode! It's like you were glowing!! Having texted that I also feel the need to mention, Matt U Da Man!! & a lucky Man @ that. Rock on!
Hey Matt, try moving your electrical access door hinges to the left side. Then it can swing out of the way and still give you access to the outlet and booze locker. And you will still have clean lines without the outlet showing when the door is shut.
Love your channel! You and Kristen are killing it!!!
-Greg
Your honesty about Dad is refreshing. The love is there, but the âcut of his jibâ is not the same as yours.
You guys videos are always entertaining.
Congratulations on following through on your dreams of sailing. Yâall have had a lot of adventures and accomplished a lot of tasks, it sure beats sitting on land dreaming about it.
My motto....Most people waste their lives dreaming instead of living it ".
Yes this is so true! Life is meant to be LIVED and these two sure are living it! We recently bought a 44 ft sailboat and are currently on our circumnavigation around the world. We dreamed it, and we are doing it!
Tacking Tommy got it done like a true captain! Clipping Kristen made one little mistake and shouldnât be embarrassed. Question, does pops have a channel where his adventures can be watched? Keep the great videos coming!
I am a 76 year old retired Truck driver after 41 years. If there had been you tube back then I would be a sailing ohbo are dead..ether way would have been better than 41 years in a truck dealing with A-Holes at almost every load
Love your videos!!! ps. Talk to Sailing Doodles. He has been all over the Caribbean
I love Kristen's imitation of flavor Flav.... Boiiiii
Whaaattt double DDeeezzz and Matt has a clean white t-shirt on...proper tourist vibes;)
The manspreadin' beginning at 19:58 is eye poppin!!!đłđłđłđđđ
Iâd recommend Anegada! Rent a Moke, tear it up exploring the island, then fill up on lobster pizza at K.Gâs! Good luck spotting a flamingo, those suckers have mad hide n seek skills.
Love watching your adventures!
when you've decided to live a lifestyle that puts you in a position where facilities or transportation or product availability is limited, you are in a situation where most people are NOT comfortable. you learn to roll with the punches, plan ahead and sometimes do without. ...not for everyone. :)
personally, i love it!
Love it when Kristen gets excited about pitza
Matt, when you get a chance you should replace those u-bolts on your bimini with stainless.
We all have skeletons we learn to live with Kristen.... "Feed The Dream", LOVE IT Matt, it's what keeps you going and us coming back!
Kick rocks dad đ. You guys crack me up. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Pizza + Pineapple = really chocking for a real Italian ... đđđđ
Love the adventurous spirit in you both. May the wind be at your back and water beneath your hull!
It really does take a spirit of adventure to set sail and follow your dreams! And Matt and Kristen are crushing it! We are just starting our adventure and we feel like we are on top of the world!
"Feed the dream..."??? I love it..! Yeah, let's get on with feeding the dream. Blue skies - following seas, you guys.
Love your banter and exciting adventures! Good on you for staying away from all of the crowds too. That pizza Did look great, especially that âBig Kahunaâ!
Love the pizza boat with that dedicated rear galley for all the biz. Sweet
Capt Phil Kerber here from the Research Vessel RV Preservation. It's our off-season up here in the cold country of the Midwest. I am a bit gealious in my own way that you both are living your dream. That is totally AWESOME! Even though I enjoy the life of a Captain on a research vessel, I thoroughly enjoy viewing your You Tube Channel which I can explore the warmer waters of the Caribbean through you fine folks. Hopefully one day I can escape the cold waters of the Great Lakes and sail around the much warmer waters like many of you cruisers. I will always live precariously through you watching the life of sailing and cruising. Have a great time sailing and enjoying your waterly life. BTW, I just returned from a week long snowmobile trip around International Falls Minnesota. That's how I handle the cold and snow. LOL! Take care and be safe out there at sea.
I live "precariously" too. đ
That drone shot after the pizza pick up... Awesome
Gotta say love the tunes you choose with the video. This comes from an old rock and roller. They match the scene you're filming at the time and makes the video really enjoyable to watch. I found you while recovering from a serious motorcycle accident 31 months ago. You kept my spirits up while i went through hell in recovery. 31 months later I lost my battle trying to save my right leg and had a below the knee amputation on the 10th of Jan. This is not about me but rather how you bring joy and happiness to me watching these videos.Keep having fun and I'll consider myself a virtual crew member. Was a sailor for 22 years but a different kind of sailor. Glad the pizza was great and look forward to your adventures!
Sorry to hear Russell. Best of luck with your recovery. Best wishes from an ex road racer and current MX'er from New Zealand!
Great couple.. also like being by our self..
Love your show for the last 2or 3 years! I truly enjoy your life! Even as a power boat guy! Don't give up your dream life until. You get enough of it ! If you ever do?
Mahalo
You two are an inspiration for me! Thank you so much for doing what you do! You make my miserable and boring life so much better. I learned so much from you two and saw so much places, I am so grateful. Wishing you two nothing but the best and a calm sea as well.
I can't wait to see other places you two are going and adventures you are going to face. What a incredible life you two have and what mind boggling life story and life experience. Just plain WOW!
Best of wishes from Bosnia and Herzegovina. â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđȘđȘđȘđ§đŠ
You two are adorable! I've been subscribed and enjoying sailing adventures via peeking out from your pockets since before you painted the bottom. Thank you so very much; stay safe and here's to the next adventure. Big HUG
lol. on the pause: NO!âŠâŠâŠ.Problem.
To help out with the pizza tab I watched the commercials all the way through. Yea baby enjoy life! đâ”ïžâïž
Great video. I loved the "two old ladies in the Walmart Parking lot" quip. How cool---a pizza boat!
Dead Dolphin is a cool name. You could always change the name to Spirit The Dolphin, or STD for short.
Love your channel! Keep up the great work!
Ham and pineapple is a match made in heaven!!
Kristen, when are you gonna decorate that interior? Or are you still enthralled with the new interior? You got style & taste, I'm waiting to see what you do with it.
Matt you want easy bread, look up Australian Damper, the traditional recipe is only 3 ingredients (self raising flour, salt & water) but there are variations, it was traditionally cooked over a campfire by people traveling so it's a very simple bread you should be able to cook on the boat.
Great video as always guys. We love the channel
We are rolling on our sides listening to you describe how boat life is not for everyone. How terrible you have it ordering pizza in Xmas cove.
To put that in perspective, we are in our mid 60s, when we started we had paper charts, wind and weather forecast were only when you were in port. Ice boxes were the best you got on a boat unless you were rich, you got beer cold by putting it in a bag and tying it to the side of the boat. Cell phones and email.did not exist you pulled into a port and had your mail forwarded to you. Customs came to your boat and searched it as full timers were suspected to be smuggling. Yes guys boat life is not for everyone as your water maker can break, and you may have to drink stale water like they did 30 years ago.
Fun stuff guys, we love the channel.
The 'joys' of shit breaking down all the time.
85 & still alive. The misses & I enjoy ur videos every Sunday am. Had a small sail boat when we were younger. It was always r favorite. Keep on sailing on.
Maps on land, charts at sea.really like you shows.
I lived there in St Thomas for 8 months. I was the diving contractor on the airport renovation project in 83 - 84.
Thanks for sharing!! Enjoy watching your videos!! Pops is absolutely precious!! Nothin like a Pops and Maâs!! And let me say heâs a fine lookin Popâs at that!! Keep on keepin on yâall n Popâs!! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Hey Guys,
Iâm pretty sure Bear would have something to say about having chickens on board! Fun to see you guys as always
R/ Jim
Virginia Beach
Ha, I see you got some sunburn there girl. I loved your jumping Jack s đđđșđž
Glad your back on the move! Enjoy watching your channel.
I like the chickens on the boat idea....lol.I haven't seen anyone do that.
MAT YOU AND BIG MOMA MAKES ME LOL đ
Enjoyed seeing Pops.
Love it guyâs smiling as always after one of your vids đ
Thank you again from Berea Kentucky âïžđ
Mats rant about his dad at the end was hilarious
instead of drinking warm drinks, have you ever thought of hanging a bottle over the edge into the cold ocean water. may not be freezing cold but it will not be warm. it takes maybe 15-30 minutes. great episode.
Don't miss the west end of St Croix for the snorkeling/diving. The Frederiksted pier is great, as long as there's not a cruise ship docked. Octopus, seahorses, eels and if you're lucky a bait ball. Make sure to check it out at night as well. Only drawback for the island is that getting around isn't as easy as St Thomas. If you plan to stay awhile, your best bet is to rent a car, just don't forget you have to drive on the wrong side of the road!
Sharing the occasion embarrassing or awkward experience is really good for the channel, actually. I've been watching you guys for years. Remember watching you hiding the dinghy in mangroves in Key West for some reason. Anyway, you guys seemed the most relatable when talking about the mistakes when looking for a mooring ball. Maybe the name Good, Bad, and Ugly checks out. And thanks for the Bear in a Basket cameo. GodSpeed!
They truly are relatable on their channel and I think that is why they are so enjoyable to watch! We enjoy the weekly Sunday watch too!
Being back out there on the water is great!!
I do enjoy seeing more of the island when you're at a stop. There's a lot of pretty stuff to see. Take your time and show some of it. Both the islands and the water
Didnt get to watch until Sunday night. Great drone footage. Hey, it looked like a mooring ball in the video. You have now entered the charter zone, so it is what it is. Folks living the dream for a week. You will figure it out.
The blue at 5:03! Living.
Love a good hawaiian!!!!!!! Pineapple with the contrast of a good canadian bacon or ham is awesome!
The Dead Dolphin boat name is fantastic. All you need is a really neat logo to match the name and get it on the side and stern of you boat.
Seriously , your photography is amazing . I would buy a few calendars if you made them. When itâs cold up here in the north east , seeing warm Caribbean photos warms you.
Kristen your photography is amazing. And yes I like Hawaiian pizza. Still no registration numbers? lol. Fair winds and following seas to y'all.
Awesome video, nice to see you sailing again and moving from place to place ,your boat looks so good from the outside shots, nice job đđđ
Kristen's hair at the end if the video reminds me of those springs as a kid that you could make walk down the stairs. Looks cool, but that was a funny thought. Keep going guys, love your vids and am excited where your, and the Dead Dolphin's, adventure, now that you are cruising again, will take you.
You guys are my favorite channel- hands down!
Holy crap!! One bite and he downs half the slice of pizza.!!!
So happy you replace the dodger. looks so much mire functional. $$$$$$ Lol
That was so fun to watch. The joy of takeaway food when you have been at sea for a bit is soooooo real!!!!!
the new dodger windshield is awesome interior needs a splash of color small abstract contemporary art on bulkhead ( tape hung ) aye mate ya'll actually sail on this channelđ
Love watching your channel! But would LOVE to see see more of Bear!!!!!!!!! đ đ
Recommendation-Check out Maho Bay on the north of St. Johnâs. Probably mooring only, get there early. good protection.
pineapple with smoked ham is my favorite pizza topping!
Thought I would be bored after the construction was done but you guys are great.
Really youâre not like a dead dolphin with pizzas
With pine Apple too
Enjoy yourself itâs a pleasure to see you
XoXo from France đ«đ·
Phil đđŒđ€Șđ
Thank you for the video. I'm glad you had some good pizza. You deserve a treat.
@4:20 Pops loves his boy.
Making Bread.......I went down that road myself a few years ago and after a whole lot of failed attempts I found a New York Times article on "No Knead Bread"....and if I recall correctly there is a youtube video on it too. Ever since I've been making some pretty awesome bread - the secret is in the heavy cast iron ceramic dutch oven because the lid is heavy enough to keep the steam in and creates a great crust. Good Luck......p,s. the only change to the recipe I make is that I add a couple tablespoons of brown sugar that gives it a nice flavor and I also usually let it rise twice if I have time.
Pops is still in some pretty good shape!!! Looking kinda jacked up today.. Might woooop ya Matty..hahahhaha
Dam Kristen! I've never seen anyone more excited for pizza. Yo matt. You're dad seems like the og Florida man. Love it bro. Y'all crack me up every week.
All these years and y'all keep it fresh and real.
You know you don't have to take cold showers if you don't want to. I've seen solar water heating bags with attached spray-hose for less than $20. So long as you have good drainage you can shower in the cockpit or take it inside after the water is heated up. Just a thought.
Your dad's a real American!!!
75 and living vicariously through you guys! Happy for you. Safe travels.
Love you guys! And the idea of a "food boat" in the anchorage instead of a "food truck" is awesome.
Appreciate the parents đ
Thanks for a great show, you two. Enjoy
When you get back to PR check out Rincon. World-class surfing and great snorkeling. And my favorite bar on the entire island, the Calypso Bar. You can see Mona Island from the patio. Lotsa old surfer ex-pats.
the biggest thing is activating your yeast. Warm 90 degree water add yeast and tsp of sugar to feed the yeast. once you see it bubbling it is ready to add to your flour etc. then fold it many times put in bowl and let double in size. usually you make 2-4 loaves at a time. A yeast beer can add flavor also. just use beer instead of water but again 90 degrees F. for yeast.
BVI is crowded and the anchorages are busy. Get yourselves a US Parks pass and spend some time in USVI. Francis Bay, Waterlemon, Lemashure etc. When your ready to leave check into BVI at Sopers Hole then explore Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay, Cane Garden Bay. Then back to the Francis Drake Channel over to the Pelicans, Norman Island, the Caves before continuing east up to the Baths and Virgin Gorda where you jump off for Sint Martin. I might pass you going west from Antigua.
Mate - making bricks? Get an oven thermometer to check your oven is getting as hot as you think it is. They are just a few bucks. I was making bricks too - turned out my new oven was 45F cooler than what the digital display said. Easy enough to adjust for when you know.
Another fun episode. Matt, you rippin' on Pops and he is one laid back cool dude. So he doesn't like warm beer and cold showers. Not many of us do.
Although, in all honesty, boat life would be worth the minor inconveniences. The places you visit and the free-sailing life if awesome!
It's true, so many couldn't do the cold showers, small refrigerators, no freezers, no A/C, small spaces... but it's clear that these two love it! And so do we! As you mentioned, the incredible places you get to experience from your own sailboat is totally worth it! We definitely think so- from our sailboat at least!
Glad to see you get some time with your dad. Sure wish I could take my dad out on my boat, but I lost him four years ago. You two are the best and I think you will love the other islands even more as you keep going farther (or further). đ
Try Leinster Bay on St. Johns, way inside toward the eastern bight at night. Watch the sharks moving about leaving phosphorescent trails under your boat. No evening swimming !
Lol Kristin you know all the people on those boats that were in the mooring field were sitting on deck with a drink in there hands watching and waiting for the next boat to try and moor up to the course buoys and laughing there butts off.đ€Ł
Boat life is definitely not for everyone. My sister came to stay aboard for a little bit and quickly realized that it takes a lot of work to make a boat seem like a home. If you guys ever head up The Inside Passage give us a shout.
