So... why don't they keep the 'floating dock' attached to the jetty?
Because when south winds come, the waves will slam up against it (perpendicular). But when we move it (parallel to the southern wind and waves) they’ll just roll on over it. I’m sorry, I should’ve explained it better in the vid!
Renee
Do you want to go to the dock ? Do you want to anchor ? Do you want to go to the floating ball ? Kate replies " I wanna go to the restaurant"... Brilliant . 💯
😂😂Love that girl!
LOL...
The only thing that really mattered.
Kate needs a good fak
I appreciate that Zatara's episodes are reasonably close to real time, as opposed to other channels that are months behind. I like seeing the date, too. Good job Renee :)
Yes! It’s nice to know the date to have a reference for the weather/season❤️
I agree 1000% There is one in particular that I completely stopped watching because of that.
The drone footage of the dock moving was pretty awesome!!
Agreed! That’s gotta be a first on CZcams! Renee really takes care of her audience! 👏
I was curious how it stayed up that long in one go. I thought most DJIs have about a 30 minute tops.. seems like that dock movement would take more than 20 to 30 minutes.
this kind of life is not easy, but few know that freedom is the most important. Respect for parents, who are rare..hugs
As Finn ages he favors his mother more and more. Keith, Renee, your children are growing into wonderful young men and women.
Enjoyed seeing the Shabbat meal. Great translation app at the supermarket!
Great to see the decision making bit with the children…learning on the job and they have no idea how much these exchanges will help them make their own decisions later in life.
We've been watching you for years... .but are now sailing on our own adventure in the pacific... And now I watch your shows, and just think..... No one realizes how much work sailing is!!!
I've visited and lived in Israel a few times, the real struggle isn't for land or religion but humus, falafel, and swarma. bitterly contested. the best swarma probably Arabic in Haifa although this was a few years ago. I've had fantastic falafel in tel aviv and Jerusalem at Jewish stands. humus, both peoples make a beautiful humus and wonderful salads. party trance nightclub and market, beach in tel aviv, the quiet wind of Masada, Ein Gedi and the chaotic magnificence of Jerusalem. i lived on Kibutz Alonim, and Moshav Neot HaKiKar truly different life experiences. have a great journey and travel Israel for awhile ideally a few months rather than weeks..
Just one comment @14:50. I'm so happy to hear a whistler. I'm the oldest of 3 girls. I'll be 60 on 2/26. And my handsome, funny, comedic, musical, 1938 Father(Bob) RIP and my Granny(Ann)RIP were both awesome whistlers. As well as my 5 Aunt's, cousins and my 2 sisters, and his 3 gbabies that are grown. He was the only boy. And of course it whistled down to us. I love to whistle. No matter where I'm at. It is the next best thing to singing. They both come from the heart. Because sometimes someone may whistle along. Hugs from Texas sweeties 😎 Keep on keepin on.
We can always count on the Whitaker crew to keep it real. Well put together Renee. Fairwinds ⛵️
Real would have shown us all the Palestinians that they are killing and land israel is stealing from them.
Only Renee can make an entire episode out of following a little floating dock around and it is COMPLETELY FASCINATING.
If your leaving was on bad terms I suggest you wait till your safely far away before your state what happened on here. Love your videos ..prayers and blessings
That's why Renee said it was going to be a few episodes before she talked about it.
yep no need for an extended stay at the concrete mansion we got enough wars going on in the world to have to send a few b-1 bombers over to get them back lol
I know that you guys are a great family. Captain Keith reminds me of my dad and he would always make sure we are all together.
I like the part where the kids were asked what they would do. Perhaps this happens more off camera than we know? but I think that is good for them to be grilled with what they would do and why because what if in future there is an emergency or two or a serious accident on board and they need to be able to make decisions on their own.
Actually it would be a fun episode where you guys role play a simulated situation where the young adults have to make the decisions to resolve the whatever occurred, as if the parents weren't there. Also it would be part drill.
Keith could be the instructor/referee (much like a Game Master in a Table-top RPG) relaying the simulated situation, answering questions they ask and asking questions himself and perhaps increasing the drama where needed, 'oh while this is happening- now this breaks' or whatever goes.
I could see this as interesting film material that perhaps could be filmed once or twice a season and also would be good experience for the young adults to take it seriously (and not ham it up on camera) and try to problem solve or think on their feet with what they know or have been told in the past. You guys might already do drills from time to time? but making it an entire video could be educational for others on the water.
Nothing but fun from Skipper Keith! Keep giving your young ones orders and Reality checks!
Keith, said something that got me thinking. "I won't sleep, no matter where I'm at!" I suppose, if I were a man with my family, out in the open sea, I probably wouldn't get adequate sleep, and we won't talk about the huge responsibility he's taken on ... wow, I commend him. Keith, If you see this, I hope you're taking care of yourself buddy, health comes first 🙏 get your rest. Btw... recently discovered all of the different family vlogs .. wife, jack, finn, you all are great! Thanks for sharing!❤
Your videos have always been great 👍, but here lately they have been absolutely amazing, the way you are filming and telling the story is insane. Great job Rene 👏 the day in the life of style is crazy good. Nobody does it like you.
Congrats on the 500k subscribers Renee.
Loved the moving dock and drone shots were ultra cool. I love seeing the stores there and look forward to seeing more of the area. Also, hope you can talk about the whys of needing to leave post haste, at some future date.
Marilyn C.
As always, another great video. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to when you go through the Suez Canal.
Congratulations!!! Thank you for taking me with you on your great journey. I live in Florida and I am looking forward to meeting you in person in Miami, can’t wait. I’ll be wearing my Zatara hat with my let it float away hoodie!!! Love you guys!! Stay safe…
I loved the creative videos with the drone.
It gives such a great perspective on some things.
The drone footage and sailing and moving the dock was pretty neat. Cool video 👍❤️
Nice vid. Always enjoy your travels.
Renee is becoming an outstanding videographer and narrator.
I agree
She is amazing. Best sailing channel out there.
I think she has been for MANY years now….
So cool! I'm from Brazil and it's so fun to see a family with such good energy enjoying life. Good luck and good trip!
Thank you so much you guys for taking all of us on your journey really enjoyed the video. Aloha from Hawaii Jan Michaels. ❤
Not sure why, but this may be my favorite "sailboat" out there. In fact, it is the only catamaran that actually looks good and seems perfect in terms of size and stability. Really like this model. The newer ones don't seem as good for some reason.
I just can’t thank you enough for the enjoyment of being a part of your adventures! I am especially am enjoying the familiar sights in the Gulf of Aqaba Sea, which I saw in 1991. I got out my Israel album to remember that wonderful trip! One of my favorite parts was going in the elevator into the Underwater Observatory and Aquarium. The beautiful coral reefs were amazing! We stayed at the Cesar North Beach hotel in Eilat which had a Bedouin living room( laying down rather then sitting in chairs)! Another amazing experience was staying in at El Salaam Bedouin Hotel on the Sinai desert , then climbing Mt. Sinai, leaving at 2 AM with a full mom and arriving in time to watch the sunrise.
Y’all videos are sooo relaxing and glad I can live through y’all !!
Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
That was cool. Thanks for sharing this with us. The dock move from the drone was well done.
I've heard that Egypt it a headache for cruisers so thanks for working out the kinks for the rest of us! Egypt is definitely on our list.
As always, another very groovy sailing adventure.
Great seeing the decision making process on "parking" options : )
I like the straight to the point $500,000 boat Comment BTW your boat is now about $800K on Yacht World
I love how you all work together. Lovely. 🌺 What a beautiful network of friends you have around the world. I’m excited to see your next group of crew. 🌺
Great as always as a former Sonarman the only thing I can suggest is just to make sure the transducer head is clean of growth or debris but only use a brush to clean it don't use a scraper or you might damage the transducer.
Oh this was fun !!! But now I don’t want to do my work 🥺 I wanna go on a vacation and get away from the blizzard hitting today !
I can’t wait to hear how y’all handled the fiasco’s, all those decisions would be hard for me, Keith is so good at it !
Blessings to you all !
Great job, Finn!
Other people on other CZcams channels and videos do not have great things to say about Egypt recently
As always, love you guys!!! Thank you!!!!!
Happy thirsty Thursday thanks for sharing again 😊😊😊😊😊
Love it to the Bone
Great job captain and crew.
Happy Thursday!!! Love your videos!
I always enjoy watching Sailing Zatara!!😺👍❤️
Z-crew, I made it through the binge over a few weeks. I'm working on the family to sell everything and move on to blue waters... don't think it's going to happen. I told my daughter y'all supplement your food with fish you catch on passage... she said we'd starve since I never catch fish. I've absolutely enjoyed your real life approach to sharing your story, and Keith should teaching more kids how to be a real man and learn how to fix crap. Safe sailing, good winds, and keep fishing.
I find it amazing how similar grocery stores are across the world. The layout, the tone of the register beep, the carts, the racks of sunglasses, everything.
Just goes to show you that there are only a few Parent Companies that rule the world.
It could also be that once grocery stores reach a certain size (ie, a supermarket) then the needs of stocking, storing, and shopping dictate that only a small range of configurations are going to work well. A few companies may truly rule the world, but similar shopping experiences may not be evidence of that.
Also buyers studies of pattern behavior are the same around the world. Plus put super cheap items very low or very high, expensive at eye level. Lost leaders at the entrance, candy by the check out, where you're bored waiting and at your weakest, etc
My father was in the “grocery business” for nearly 45 years. It’s all a science!
moving that floating dock was interesting. never seen anything like that before.
Seeing a bright all beige coast/land is absolute stunning contrasted with the deep blue water. I would be in amazement.Very foreign concept to behold.
I love when the kids say yes sir. Soooo respectful!
Started watching your series yesterday, am already up to Ep 53. Hooked! (That is, not anchored). thank you for your efforts to document your adventures.
And now, after being home sick whilst on holiday from work, have binged every episode up to date. Awesome production on the videos, Renee, I'm just not sure now how to get my sailing fix in between your posts. Looking forward to all that's coming.
That dock seemed like a lot of trouble!
👍 safe travels!
2.9K+ subscriber LIKE; 24K+ desktop shipmate view. While being a crew-member (to join in the guitar/music jams) sounds like it'd be fun - this old guy is WAY out of bounds on the age-bracket. You younginz get to have all that kind of fun and adventure. I dig how the Skipper's chair/bench/seat is a proper loveseat-size.
Great arieal footage guys. Nice to see - the bigger picture....
Another great great show!!!
Love watching the logistics portion of sailing. So interesting
So proud of Fynn. He really is becoming a hardworking responsible little man. You go boy.🤗🤗
CREWMEMBER...... One day you guys will become like Corporate America and call your Children "TEAM MEMBERS"..... {I Hope NOT!!}
Enjoy video looks like rough sea while sailing ⛵️! Ocean water beautifully blue color! 😘⛵️😀 Mike from Missouri
Love your drone footage and narration Renee. Keith is such a character too! lol would be great if you showed more of the culture, history etc re the places you were visiting though?
Great, drone shots
Always amazed at the Zatara crew efficiency. That is once you decide where to dock.
Very cool guys, thanks for including us.
My favorite part of today’s episode is the time lapse drone footage y’all did, it made me giggle 😆
Awesome video guys!!! Finn's videos are great to!!! Great pics and videos for sure
What is the name of his channel?
Beautiful place.
I love how this family communicates. They don’t speak over one another and they have a wonderful respect for each other.
At first, I thought the floating dock was cool but way too much trouble, then I saw the shore power and it all came together. Great Video.
Amazing family!
Captain Keith, 'the dock whisperer'.
Quick Tip from Charlie
who ran a 100ft baltic barque;
always drop a bowline on the dock cleat
&adjust lines safely aboard in the dark.
And when you set them just right
you can even sail right off them
in the still of the night.
Pretty good adventure out there in the Middle East for you guys. Pretty cool.❤
u guy r just so sweet I luv watching ur videos and just watching how boat life is and u guys seem to be the perfect fit for this lol! the filming is AMAZING, the editing as well:) I love ur channel so much! keep it up guys its honestly my dream to be doing exactly what u guys r, have a very nice day!!
You guys are Fantastic! Love all your Videos!!
come up to Tel Aviv!
happy sailing
Keith, binged your series for the past 2 weeks, love it all! I’ve not seen on any vids that rigging has been inspected. Are you comfortable with all your rigging? Stay safe!
I haven’t seen your program for a few weeks where have you been? I miss you all the best Jack from Australia🇦🇺😊❤️
Hey guys awesome show, How is Anna doing I hope fine I hope to see her soon. Godspeed to you all.
love the videos
Land Locked Mid Michigan ,Thanks Your Family for another Great Video
@ 6min "We're Humans - we can do it ! " great takeaway Finn 😎😂
Thank You.
I would pick the mooring ball at this time, while it's not too windy. Grab it now. Dinghy to shore. No tying up to an UNattached dock, unless you want it to "float away" !
take a trip over to the island of Kos lots of kite surfing at Tigaki.
Love when they upload makes my days better especially after a hard days work just close my eyes and listen to the water imagining the day I have my own boat to live on
Thanks!
cool floating dock
Wow that is a lot of work
So sad to hear that your leaving Egypt 🇪🇬, but hope to see you in Philippines 🇵🇭....maybe?
Happy Zatara Thursday!
The High point of Thursday!! Like Friday and watching Episodes of DALLAS 50 years ago!! (Hopefully the season Cliffhanger isn't throwing Keith off the boat in high seas)
As much as I would love to go over to blue water cruising I can’t, I will never be able to afford that life and so learning about it would make me ungrateful for what I do have !
I’ll just support you by watching your videos 🥰
@@sailingzatara.. sailing Zatara isn’t giving away a prize, stop scamming people and get a job !!!!!
if u have time maam and sir pls visit jeddah yanbu❤ its also beautiful beach 🎉
So much moving around for moorings.... Hope you like the Med when you get there.
Love seeing your crew all working together keeping the high vibes! I'm interested to hear the Egypt drama...
Sending 🤗 hugs from Kentucky!
I don't know if you are going to still be doing the med crew in 1 1/2 years time, but if you do ill definitely be applying :)
Wow you guys are addictive - I'm binge watching, lol
Go bobcats!! Also love the content been watching from the early days!
