- After many months (years?) searching, we have finally found our new to us boat home. Come step inside our 1980 Corbin 39 sailboat as we get her ready to splash and as we get ready to move aboard as live aboard sailors. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe so you catch all our updates.
What a beautiful boat 😮
I’m at your marina too! Saw your boat and your CZcams sticker, thought I’d say hi! 👋
Such a small world. 😃
Dang, that thing's bigger on the inside then on the out!
Boat sweet Home!
thanks for sharing and congratz! I wish you the most enjoyable trips !
Lovely tour of you're new boat? Happy sailing.
So happy for you both, happy sailing!!
Fine Boat; !!!
Nice boat! Lush galley.. That feeling when you finally have your boat never gets old..
Me and mr L could live in that no problem.. greetings from a narrowboat on the Uk canals!
Cheers! Thanks for your comment. We are still trying to believe this is real. ⛵️
@@sailingsarpedon so are we - and it’s like - SEVEN years in 😂 If you’re lucky, that feeling keeps coming back! We can have nasty winters. Year 2 we were frozen in for 2 months! But she looked after us and we look after her.. Best of luck to you both; I’ll be watching avidly as I might like a change to lumpy water before I get too old to manage it!
Omg this is amazing I love the tour
Great sailboat video! Mike from Missouri
Thanks! We are so excited to be on this adventure.
subbed!
Welcome aboard!
Back in June we were up there to look at another boat, and we walked right past Sarpedon. I pointed at her and was excited to actually see her in person, I must have looked at the ad for her about a dozen times. The broker said she just recently sold otherwise he would show her to us. I guess I now know who bought here. I really like the lines of those Corbins but for a family of 5 it's just not enough space for extended cruising. Congrats on the new home I'm sure you all will love her.
Thank you! We love her so much and are so excited.
Congratulations
Great tour 🙏⛵💕
Thanks!

Ireland is on our travel bucket list. Hope to see your beautiful homeland in the future.
Very nice boat, I would like to see the basement, particularly the furnace room where the engine resides. I hope you have a great time living my dream.
I think that could be arranged, Doug. We will be sharing some boat projects next but after we splash, we hope to do a more in depth tour down the road. Thanks for joining us!
its gorgeous!
Thank you!
Cool deal. Clear audio and clean edit. Good job and wish you all the best of luck
Thank you! We are so excited to share this adventure with our friends and family.
LOOKS NICE !
Thanks!
What a great looking vessel that is. 23,000 pounds with a comfort rating of 36? Good for you and a 5 1/2 foot draft I hope you take it to the islands.
I am so jealous 👍🏼
Thank you. As Corbin’s are owner finished, there are some variations in the weight, sail plans, and ratios but those numbers sound close. We can’t wait to get her in the water soon. Thanks for your comment!
Looking forward to seeing your work. The decks and interior looks magnificent and trust your work will make it seaworthy. Where are you parked?
Have always loved the corbins they are built like tanks. I did choose a crealock 37 instead, corbin would have been my second choice. A saloon is an old west bar, it's salon.
They really are solid like a tank. I was amazed how thick the layers of fiberglass are in the hull. As to the salon vs saloon here is some food for thought. www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f61/salon-or-saloon-45335.html Thanks for commenting and glad to have you on the adventure with us.
@@sailingsarpedon I stand corrected thank you
Your puppy is gonna be a Seadog!!
Welcome Mercedes and thank you for your comment! Rey loves your comment!
Congratulations on your new boat. She's beautiful inside and outside. We really love all of the beautiful wood inside. I am looking forward to seeing your updates.
A sllop rigged cutter😮
Yes, that was a goof on my part. 🤦♂️Blame it on the heat🥵,new sailor🥹, or excitement🤩 but yep that wasn’t quite right. 😂 We actually have a trio of foresail options including a roller furling Genoa, hank on Solent, and club footed hank on staysail. There is also a Drifter for lighter wind sailing. ⛵️🧜♂️
what is a sloop rigged cutter? Never heard of that

@@sailingsarpedon there is something called a slutter..Sloop converted into a cutter by adding a removable inner forestay
I have heard of that but Sarpedon was designed as a cutter. The “Solent”is the original Genoa. After the bowsprit was added a new Genoa was added and the Solent (old Genoa) moved down the mast. The cutter staysail is in its original configuration. Or so goes the history we were told. 😁👍

may i join you?
We are not taking on crew or passengers at this time but we are glad your joining us on the channel.
I'm sorry as I would have really liked to have heard what you had to say. But, you either had your hand over the mic or were whispering the entire time as I gave up trying to hear you. Can you please correct this issue for the next time?
I am sorry the audio was not working for you. We learn more with each video. Thank you for your feedback and we hope will check out some of our other content.
