your cylinder tight on the bottom end? did you use new gaskets? explain to me what happend did it blow up after running fine and this happend after the build was it doing this and u though a build would do it? how many turns out is the air mixture screw? your reed bolts that hold the boot to cylinder could be loose
I have no experience with the tors issues, but the black blaster seems like you need to clean and oil air filter and also rejet the carb. If not it sounds like it's blown
you shouldnt run it if the timing is off..pre-detenation can blow a hole right thru the top of the piston..i did it myself..bought a rd 350.(same motor as banshee on a streetbike but air cooled pre-banshee)previous owner had moved it. cost me a few hundo to fix..blew it up doin about 110mph.just glad it didnt lock up and slide the rear wheel.
To anybody looking for a fix having to do with this issue... this could be a few things.. but check your parking brake first!!! Don't sell your quad before you try this! I had the same prob.. my brother had been trying to apply the parking brake , and the next time I hopped on it wouldn't run well at all, or barely move. This must be a safety feature as it doesn't want you to ride it with the brake on.. just look to see if the cable can be pushed in at all.. you could be in for a surprise. Just as I was. Hope this can be the simple fix for many others

Hi I'm Anthony I have a 99 blaster and I was riding and I crashed I broke my thumb throttle and I'm now converting it to a twist throttle and the same thing is happening like it just Bob's out every time I cristata like my am following come in yet but I took everything off and the toser bolt is stripped so I couldn't get it off so I just unplugged it and every time I just pull the wire it bogs out
I just got a 1990 blaster was told it was bored .40 over. Im really new to these quads. But this thing will not idle itll start but not idle i have to keep the rpms up. Does anyone know why this is? Cold it be the tors? Or a dirty carb? And it is kinda temperamental and will start after so many kicks. like i said in new to this stuff. so im kinda clueless. Thanks for any feed back in advance.

no it would not be that carb is to big for a blaster get a stock blaster carb would the idle be high and stay gigh or just keep getting higher?

on the carb you are going to see a srew with a spring adjusted it and it will idle good but dont make it to loud
nathan b the blasters don't have it they have the tors you can adjust idle from there (to bad mines stripped)
i had same problem but its not TORS! its parking break! you can jump wires for the tors to see if it works or not without cutting anything

its not me thats letting out the clutch to fast or slow because if i pop the clutch it will still do it
I thought the blasters didn't have TORS I thought they just had a regular throttle system. Was that ur problem then???
Ok so what throttle cable do you use once you remove the carb switch

If u rev the bike up and it bogs out its the hand brake not the tors

No key in your flywheel and it still ran? I'm surprised. They take half moon clips. That has the potential to kill your crankshaft.
