This is one of the clearest hair tutorials I've watched on youtube
THANK YOU!
You're the first stylist I've seen that added diagrams 👏👏👏
You are a blessing to the hair community. This is better than any hair video I’ve watched and I’ve watched more than any normal person should🙃
Awe thank you so much 😊
Thank you for this video! I honestly found this more educational and inspiring than a lot of the balayage classes I have taken! You made it look so effortless ! Beautiful end result!
I completely agree also
Her hair turned out beautiful! I love how you clearly explain everything you're doing and thank you so much for taking the time to make us diagrams! 💕
Aww I love how gentle you are with her hair. It looks so beautiful and you explained everything so well. Thank you!
I have watched so many balayage videos, and this is the best I've seen hands down! So easy to follow and informative!
She has the best natural base color for basically anything. You did a really beautiful job without effort! Love it :)
+zupatia you still have to know how to apply it or it can turn out splotchy and bad!
Sorry, I may not wrote it right, I meant that you did a really good job like a pro without the ''hey look at me I can balayage anything attitude'' (English is my second)
I cannot tell you how much I LOVE LOVE this video!!!! Thank you so much. So clear, easy, and your model turned out so natural and beautiful!! Thank you so much, and please keep these coming, you are awesome!!
That must be the best video I've ever seen on balayage. Thank you! ❤
The diagrams are so helpful for really explaining how you do your sectioning! And the diagrams of the basic saturation levels make so much more sense now!
So glad it helped!
Looks literally like her natural hair color! I'm so impressed! Also the drawings you made were super helpful! 🥰 Thank you!
This is the BEST balayage video I've found. You explained all your steps and sectioning perfectly without adding unnecessary details. Exactly what I've been looking for to explain and simplify the process. Looks amazing!
Thank you so much girl!!!
Omg thank you for this! Especially those diagrams! I’m going to be doing color for the first time in school this week and we need to know how to free hand like this! Made this soooo easy to understand
Amazing! For one, I love the fact that you do not use foils, papers or a cumbersome board & show us a truly open air, freehand method. The explanation as to how you do the bricklaying is phenomenal and because I am taking matters into my own hands as DIYer I appreciate this video because I can visualize how to parse out hair & just do my roots with this technique & blend down into my pre-existing blonde. Wish me luck everybody... here goes nothing LOL
How did it go!?
I’ve watched so many balayage videos and finally feel ready to try it after this one! Thanks so much!
Still by far one of the best balayage tutorials on CZcams well done you!
Amazing instructions, very clear, and thorough. I cant wait to try this method.
Love the open air because I'm really bad with foils and cotton so this one is the best for me. Thank you!
Your videos are LIFE!!! Love the drawn out pics to help explain... love love love
+kimturner282 I'm so glad they help!!!! Thank you for watching!

I needed a refresher on how to do a balayage thank you so much!!! I can't wait to do it on my client Thursday! 😄💓😄💓😄
You made it seem very easy, can't wait to try this with my friends!
Thank you so much!! This is one of the best videos I have watched. Simple directions that are straightforward, and especially great views of how you hold your brush and what you've done to the hair.
Also, thank you SO much for including those diagrams!!! I've watched other videos, and now finally feel like I can do this!
Yas! Clear instructions and demonstration! I love it! Thanks for your time and expertise!
Nice, very simple & easy to understand~loved the little diagrams. I think I'm ready to try this myself. Thanks!

Wow! She explains really well& easy! Thanks for sharing :)
I would want to see her do a reverse balayage from blonde to the darker roots.
Love it and I LOVE Olaplex!
+Gary Harden thank you!!! Olaplex for the win everytime!
Best video on balayage! Thank you !
+Jacqueline Paniagua thank you so much for watching 😘😘😘
I love this video!!! Thanks for your upload!!!
Her blonde is gorgeous! I am always so reluctant to do open-air balayage. I always do mine in a foil...foil-yage..? This gave me inspiration for my next blonde that comes in, and is naturally lighter, to try this technique! :)
+Sara Wright it can be scary, but you don't know how to do it till you try 😉
Thank you! Love the diagrams!!

I have watched only two of your videos so far and I am in LOVE 😍 I am about to graduate from a Paul Mitchell school in MD and I feel like I have learned way more from you in just two videos!!! Thank you sooooo much!!! I will definitely be watching more ! Btw, I have never heard of the Paul Mitchell style winder curling iron! I googled it and I can't find it anywhere! Do you know where I can get one?! Please help!!! ❤❤
So clean redken would be proud of you I know I am
Beautiful
Best how to do balayage video 👍👍
+Bby-S0ne Army-L Carat- Candy Rice0pener-BLinKs aweeeeeeee YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!!!!!
I of course skipped the part that said don't do this on yourself. We live in desperate times now! lol anyways, I did this and def thought I would have to be a brunette after to fix it because my hair was so orange. But I mixed Wella T14, T10 and 050 as a toner with 10 developer and the results were pretty magical. I will do this again. I loved not using foils on myself. i think it's my lightener i'm using right now that isn't working with my hair. I am a level 8 but I lift very warm. I was using Wella Blondor for years when I would do my own highlights from time to time and never had problems with lifting to a nice yellow. So next time I do this I'll go back to a tried and true product.
Thank you so so much for sharing
+diana boot thank you for watching, don’t forget to subscribe 💙
so great
Love love this video thank you so much love the way you explain everything and diagrams! Subscribe
Thanks!
Best education video i have ever seen👌👌👌💓💓💓100%
You’re the sweetest!
As stylists we are so proud of our accomplished Balayage finish, but do you ever find that clients ever call back and think it looks undone near the base? In my experience I have found that you must explain to clients clearly and concisely that it is different than stripy foils.
sunshine2049 I have also encountered this in the past. I started really taking extra time to explain to my clients who were transitioning from on the scalp foiled highlights to balayage that this technique will leave almost a "root shadow" to give the appearance of natural sunkissed highlights. For some of them who still want a lot of that brightness near the root I will balayage closer to the root and more of a full panel technique and sometimes do a base break to soften it a bit.
Amanda Kassardjian I agree. I love the base break, it really puts a gorgeous finish to the Balayage and makes it look seem less , which base break do you use?
sunshine2049 yes! Or they will say it's "uneven" not understanding balayage will have random pieces not uniform like foil highlights
Thank you, well presented
+Nin Martinez thank you for watching!
Wow great explanation, technique, and results! Would it be rude to send this to my hairdresser?
Thank you so so so much for making this video. As a stylist in Oklahoma there is limited education here so I get it where I can ! I love your videos and your little drawings made it so much easier to understand. I've done some balayage but still not completely happy with my work (I feel like that's what made us good stylist is continuing to master your work until your happy and comfortable with what you're doing ) any favorites on lightner for balayage? I just switched to redken from alphaparf last year and I LOVE redken. I need to try their clay because my go to is flashlift so I'm sure it's good stuff !
+Megan Danielle ahhh girl I know what you mean. Now that I live in California I can get so much education and it's great. Just keep trying things out and practice because you're so right you need to keep doing it till you're comfortable! I love using my regular light red and just making it thick. But you do need to use either foil, or cotton so it doesn't get onto the other hair. I've not used Redkens clay lightener, let me know if you try it!!!
Jack Winn makea a great Paint lightener....its silica technology and crystallizes around the hair shaft staying moist on the inside. I have fallen in love with it!
Did you mix the 9N and 7G together with the 10 developer or did you use them separately?
