Jango Fett's ORIGINAL Death Scene! Is This BETTER?

- Jango Fett's death in Attack of the Clones was originally going to be a little crazier!
Mace Windu was supposed to chop off his arm and slice his leg before chopping off his head (like we see in the movie)
Do you think this version is better?

Very well spoken!!! Great observation!

@maximumdon7637 one thing this shows is his perception. He systematically targets the unarmed spots, including the hip
The first one makes the death feel SO much more painful
True
If they put this in, I would empathize with cw boba
Which makes it less good imo. Jedi aren't about causing pain, mace windu may embrace some of the dark side, but this is out of character for him. Killing can be just but hacking him apart isn't necessary. A Jedi master has no need to do this.
@joew.4073 the disarming first males sense, but the other arm and the random hip poke. That is brutally unnecessary.

I love the detail given to his shatterpoint ability, making him cut around the beskar and hit the joints
Sometimes less is more, but in this case the longer one is better-- it tells a story and fits the character. A quick kill sends a different kind of message.

@@paulblake1164 I get what you’re saying, but the ACTUAL cut of the movie still has an on-screen decapitation.

@@MWDFrancis, I agree. Imagine what Star Wars Jedi fights would look like without censorship, showing every single move just like a samurai martial arts movie is filmed and photographed. With only the beheading, it made Jango seem like just another droid. The original makes Jango seem like more of a threat with all the different ways he could’ve taken Mace out, and Mace look like a master swordsman being one step ahead and disabling it all.
I agree, in a way. But also it feels more like Mace is playing around with Jango. I like the released version because Mace was efficient and makes it seem like he’s a Jedi who wasn’t entertained by having to kill someone.
@@casualnerdjason6678 Probably why they cut it, if Mace could've gone for the head from the get go there was no reason to bother with continuing to dismember him before landing the last strike.
That’s exactly my thoughts
@@casualnerdjason6678 I guess that makes sense as well, but storytelling it(that also requires people to need to know the lore though), Jango is on of the deadliest non-force users&a Jedi hunter. He’s extremely quick&analytical. Mace has “shatterpoint” so he can breakdown a critical moment in his mind&essentially “see the future”-or the most likely outcome. If he went straight for his head, Jango could’ve gotten a shot off in that brief moment, maybe mutual assured destruction. Take his gun hand, used a gadget to take him out with his left arm, the leg….idk about that rofl but it was cool.
I don't know how you could see this clip and come out of it thinking of Jango as a threat of any kind. Dude goes out like an absolute jobber, no different to the regular droids. Dude literally just stands still and shoots like 5 times with just the pistol.

I oddly feel the version where he goes straight for the head makes more sense due to the fact that Mace Windu's Vapaad fighting style is a direct and aggressive style that goes for the quickest solution to end a fight. Why go through the process of performing multiple cuts if one will do the trick? There is also the fact that the original shows Mace being more cruel than his character would actually be, at least to a crowd of people that don't know about the weapons in the gauntlet and the secondary weapon in the hip. However, I would still go with the fact that Mace's style is, use the most direct approach that minimizes exertion and ends the conflict quickly. It also shows the dichotomy of utilizing the balance between the dark side and the light side that Vapaad requires.

To be fair the stab to the leg wouldn’t have been lethal
@kalancosta7650 sure, lightsabers used to slice clean through metal like butter while cauterizing limbs as well, today's lightsaber wounds don't do much damage, Luke's hand, sliced off easily, Reys hit on Kylos chest, just a scratch, back in my day, a cut like that when maul easily killed qui gon is how a lightsaber should work, not just leave yellow particles behind. A lightsaber should cut through anything, and cause more damage, instead of showing minimal damage, if someone hit you on the chest with a lightsaber, you would be dead, instead Now in today's time, a strike from a lightsaber to the chest only leaves yellow residue
@kalancosta7650 A stab to the leg would paralyze and sever your muscles and bone from your leg, if lightsabers were redone to their original state, a lightsaber should cleanly decimate any body part immediately, instead of just wounding someone, go rewatch the old movies and then compare how the lightsaber evolves in the new ones, to a lesser version, the old ones show how a lightsaber is supposed to work, then watch the new ones, tell me if I'm wrong, rewatch each part of a lightsaber removing limbs in the old movies, then watch Rey injuring Kylo, tell me how I'm not wrong.

The attention to detail in these movies was astounding.
Interesting
@thejonathan130 I didn't notice that but now I do
Bro got the “Mace Windu wins… FATALITY” treatment.
Brutality
The first one portrays Windu as much more of a badass
Bro just hit the meanest fatality I’ve ever seen a Jedi perform 🤣
Oh nah getting styled on like that would’ve made boba even more ruthless later on 😂
@@rtothec1234 He didn't say badass lol
@@rtothec1234ruthless ≠ badass
He ends up getting knocked into a sarlacc pit by Han solo
Windu going for all of Jango's weapons really made it seem like Windu took into consideration every option Jango would have had available before landing the final strike.
Windu going straight for the head makes Windu seem like he just went for the quickest option of neutralizing the enemy, before Jango himself could even react to.
Best comment here
Windu tought jango was gonna use the jetpack but previously got damage, thats why he was looking up he was aiming for jango legs but got his head instead
yeah... it also measn that windu is a cold blooded killer who needlesly killed an already incapacitated, disarmed (literaly) oponent.
I mean it much more accurately describes the entire Mace Windu phenomenon and definitely explains how taken aback Dooku was
The version they put in the movie makes more sense for not only a jedi but just it generally being faster
Mace deflecting those shots like he's wielding a baseball bat
Nah mace is just him
That might happen when your name is MACE 😂
@@Dondolini94 well mace is a cool name whats wrong with it?
He kinda looked lime an old man and was fluent enough maybe
Right? Why would a JEDI wield their lightsaber with two hands? Seems very unnecessary and limiting being what they can do with The Force. He’s handicapping himself for no reason. Lightsaber isn’t exactly heavy.
The original showcases the later pre-Disney lore that Mace is always on the border of falling to the Dark side when he fights as Vapad plays on his hidden bloodlust & love of fighting + Vapad being based on a sith lightsaber style.
Him and Obi Wan👀
no.
Appears as if he already fell to the dark side
This is what I was coming to say. Mace is always a hairsbreadth away from the dark side, and it's fitting to the character.
@@crunkler404hell nah bro 😂
“Are you not entertained?!” On top of my head after this
Don’t forget there’s a 10yo clone watching his dad get decimated 😂
"Hey George, I know you like taking arms from people. But hand+arm+decapitation might be too much this time"
Don't forget the kidney stab
@@KaizerTheWyvern wasn't even a kidney stab, dude just poked Jango's hip for, like, no reason at all. I'm sure that one was just personal lol.
I like how his beskar didn't help at all.
@@elpogio4890 hip or kidney that stab was not needed and 100% for personal satisfaction on windus part
@@guillaumebriand8961 thing is, as you can clearly see, mace aimed for all the spots that were conveniently NOT covered by beskar. fabric sleeve, fabric neck for movement, regular pants. It was perfect. he didn't do something stupid like go directly for the chest or helmet.
the extended shows how mace is connected with his darker side, a small and controlled composite of his power in balance. we were robbed of more mace windu yet again boys😞
Bro does know how to use force grip/choke
Mace Windu would be op if he's on Battlefront 2
@@HazyFaceman19 EA would find a way to fuck it up
Original shows Mace Windu’s swordsmanship, foreshadowing his epic duel with the Emperor.
Mace’s combat specialty’s was Mandalorians and he had brutal tactics that’s why his saber was purple
