Man in a lot of aspects you can definetly see that Morty is Ricks Grandson and especially Beths Son: the inability to let something go, the immidiate use of violence if something doesnt go his way, the inability to think straight when his pride is attacked
A lot of that's just objectively untrue or just basic human condition that Morty is portraying. Also his willingness for violence needs to be looked at through the lens of what he's been through already.
For real. For all his talk, Rick usually makes sure people get home alive. Anyone on a solo mission with Morty is going to have their lives irreparably ruined.

Rick and Morty serie doesn't like time traveling, but this is basically time traveling, and it is awesome idea 💀💀 They are saying that any idea about time traveling is already done, so it wouldn't be original, but so many science fiction isn't 100 % original... It is hard to bring something new in this world, but even if it is like 70 % original, it is valuable
short answer: Its hard to justify writing any conflict for your protagonist(s) if you start using time travel in your story, everything that was wrong can easily be righted w/o any consequence. And if you don’t, then the reader will point out all the possibilities of time travel and eventually diverge the point of the series to a whole new what if scenario, that you don’t necessarily want. Making clear and concise choices are just so much nicer to make a story than having to add the most convoluted solution/question in science fiction
this isn’t time travel as much as dimensional travel w/ different time stamps. Not so much different from having different time zones in different countries
