    People forget that Arsene Wenger has a degree in Economics. It probably has helped him in understanding the finances and running of the club in a different way to if another manager was in charge of Arsenal.

      time has changed, we need more aggressive attitude now, Wenger is too passive, yes it was what we needed to survive in the past but we need active in charge to flourish. Otherwise, our survival would have been for nothing.
      Only arsenal milks it's fans more than any club. Other clubs like Chelsea spend more and get more in form of sponsorship, tv deals etc. It's not like we are out of cash either. If Arsene is an economist then he surely comes from old outdated school of thought.

      @@seyamrahman1002 dude how does that even contradict what i said ? this whole wage bill fiasco started from wenger era, media made him look like genius by looking only at the buying side, look at our selling side, we even let ramsey go for free and very laate decision on players contract, on the other hand gave massive bumper wage to ozil to save his face. There is no defending wenger on his later years.

      lebin Payne the point isn't winning all the time. Wenger knows what to do and how to build a team. He's spent much less than other managers and yet been more successful than them, building a team that can still do well. Essentially, he makes too much of a profit for owners to want to sack him

      My point is that facilities and grounds and that aspect of an organization receive no profit of his ownership. Look at the Los Angeles Rams who appear to have no prospects for improving anytime soon and after moving to a much larger market just for the injection of funds coming from supporters

    Arsenal will never spend the cash reserves with Stan Kroenke in the board all the other board members are happy because the earns per share are increasing. 51% equity allows him to influence board decisions. It's not Wenger's fault and he shouldn't be blamed for the lack of money spent

      Victor Mensah i'd happily give him another 2 years if usmanov bought the club and gave him a few hundred million to spend in the summer. Imagine he had money to buy world class players, he'd have won us the league easily

      @vestan9365 Pƙed 7 lety

      Lord Özil yes Wenger has a better win percentage than the majority of managers in the world (only managers that have spent more money have better win Percentages and not even all of those managers have

    • @vestan9365
      @vestan9365 Pƙed 7 lety +1

      Lord Özil let's look at the last 5 years top BPL clubs (Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham). Man City have spent more than double what Arsenal have in the transfer market in the last 5 years, they are the only other club to have consecutively finished in the top 4. They have won 2 BPL titles, they haven't won a champions League title but have won 1 Fa Cup and 2 League cups. Manchester United have also spent over double what Arsenal have in the last 5 years have only finished in the top 4 3 times and have won 1 BPL title, they haven't won the UEFA title in the last 5 years, they have won 1 Fa cup and No Leauge cup. Chelsea have spent almost double what Arsenal have spent in the last 5 years. They have won 1 BPL title, 1 UEFA title, 1 Fa Cup 1. Tottenham and Liverpool haven't one anything in the last 5 years apart from Liverpool winning the leauge cup once. Tottenham have spent around 15m more than Arsenal have and have only finished in the top 4 twice in the last 5 years. Liverpool have spent around 70m more than Arsenal and have only finished in the top 4 once in the last 5 years. Arsenal have won 2 Fa Cups in the last 5 years. We haven't won any other trophies but it's the point of consistency also there isn't a manager who has been more successful than Wenger over long periods of time (5 years minimum) with less spendings in transfers or similar amounts like I already said before. Break Wenger's career down into 4 quarters and you will see when you look at results and trophies there isn't a manager doing better, Leicester City might have won the leauge last year but these last 5 years of Wenger's last quarter aren't over, it would be unfair to compare them over the last 5 years as they have only been at the top level 2 years but what I will say is over this year and the next 5 years if Wenger stays how consistent will Leicester city be and will they be more successful than Arsenal with similar amounts or less spent in the market over the next quarter. Wenger should have the job as long as he feels he is able to work. something I posted months ago

      Alisher Usmanov is a Arsenal fan and doesn't care about the money he is richer the all the board put together. Kroenke is sitting in Arsenal gaining profit from his shares whilst we have suffered for the last 12 years without his support. We could have excuted this plan with Alisher Usmanov tying down the big players we had with bigger deals and using his money for transfers whilst our income paid of the stadium debt Kroenke did thing the other way around because he only cares about his profit yh we are rich now but we didn't need him we could have done all this and more without him

      +Gerry O'Driscoll yhh we was care full but David Dein use to put money back into the club. Since 2007 when Kroenke joined Arsenal have spent 460m ruffly in the transfer market when Tottenham have spent ruffly 605m. We have 138m now ruffly in cash reserves the only way we could have got a more expensive striker is if Kroenke put some of his money back into the club or we go into cash reserves none of these will ever happen because he doesn't care about Arsenal he isn't a fan. We are just a bussiness he will either end up trying to give his shares to his son or selling them on for around 3x-5x the amount he bought them for

That's arguably WHY he bought into The Arsenal, so he didn't have to put any of his own money in

      Kroenke runs the club like a business, not a slot machine. Running the club at low risk, rather than gambling. Look at Sunderland, Newcastle, Aston Villa - who would have thought they would be relegated 20 years back? Those clubs went down mainly due to poor ownership decisions.

For me I'm a (Man Utd Fan) and The Glazer Family are atrocious owners just stealing money from the club and plummeting the club into debt from the day they took over. Also as a (United Fan) I would rather see no big money transfers and good seasons a.k.a champions league football than europa league.

    Arsenal! I support this club because of the style of football they play. They play a beautiful position driven, possession oriented passing game similar to that of Guardiola's teams and Barcelona with their own twist on it. They are able to interchange positions, play on the counter, and still be fluid and entertaining. This is what is right about the game. When eleven men are able to work cooperatively to win a football match as opposed to relying on the talent of their star players (although recently, it's at least been made out to be, that without Ozil and Sanchez, we wouldn't be where we are at; I refuse to believe that). The Invincibles capture my heart and I've stood by the Gunners through thick and thin. I'm a supporter for life. #umaxitgiveaway3

People are calling for a world class CF to replace Giroud, but much as i like both Lukaku and Morata are they really an upgrade on Giroud? I cannot claim to know anything about Perez but we just have to wait and see. There is no doubt that if Usmanov was in charge he would be aiming for one of the few world class CF

      Ntokozo Mahlobo I am not an Arsenal FC fan. I am talking about my perception of them as a neutral football fan. The brand of football that they play is very attack minded. On their good days, they are a treat to watch. In my opinion, that is how how football should be played ACTUALLY. Look at Man United. Hundreds of millions of euros invested into buying players. And yet they are forced to park the bus against Southampton.

    Morata was said to be Arsene Wenger's prime striker target before even the transfer market opened we can't sign because of Kroenke Usmanov would happily put up the cash

    And that's why they wont sack Wenger, the owner-manager pairing between Wenger and Kroenke is the best love story in football. The real problem at Arsenal is the club's priority, it's very different from what the fans want, even if they got rid of Wenger, they'd need another Wenger to replace him, fans can only hope that the new Wenger will be more tactically aware than the current one because whoever it is, he'd still be working within the same limitations.

    Great work- but, as an Arsenal fan there's a strong suspicion that Kroenke is using Arsenal (and by extension Arsenal's cash reserves) as a way to finance loans and purchases at low rates.

    Kroneke is keeping the money in the club so when sells he'll make tidy profit.The board kept their jobs,Wenger gets ÂŁ8m a year to help Kroneke with his plan.Wake Arsenal fans the quicker you get rid these people,you'll winning league's again.

      tony henry vii don't blame Wenger for this shit. He didn't appoint koronke. He didn't ask for all this hate. If u watched the vid u will see what he's done for us. To finish in the top four consecutively for 20 seasons is mad. He basically built our club post bpl era. Would u rather still have George graham? Would he know how to get us out of this debt. Wenger needs to stay at the club. From the management point of u it's time for a change. But we still need Wenger so he should get a job on the board. #wengerupstairs

      Yh but he brings his son into the board team he doesn't even own 1% shares in Arsenal. He is the board and he decideds how we spend he keeps Arsenal a float if needed he's like a safety cushion we want an elevator Usmanov is an Arsenal fan and wants to pump money in the board don't want a foreign man in the board to run our club. Watch Alisher Usmanov talk about arsenal on CZcams there's like 2/3 important videosï»ż.

    You didn't answer where the money from the sale of the old stadium went. If a home owner buys a new home, the purchase will usually be funded with the sale of their existing home.
    It seams the cash/debt issue has come around because the sale of the old stadium was pocketed and a new debt was created with the burden placed on the team. Wenger is complicit in this otherwise he would have left a long time ago.

    Great presentation - however, a couple of things are a little inaccurate. First, Roman was turned away by Arsenal primarily because he wanted to throw money in. Completely against Arsenal club values. Hence why Usmanov couldn't achieve a majority.
    2nd, cash reserves have been spent with a healthy balance in case of emergencies. But that was after the video was made...can it be updated to include the spend of this window?

    Those practices just got them out of the top four this season. Usmanov's 1Bn bid got rejected by Kroenke, who wanted to invest. It's super hard to overcome the financial gap b/w the top four and the rest of the league, unless they have an amazing owner and manager like that of Tottenham, which is so amazingly explained by Joe Devine and co.

    our method will see us slip further away till we're not even in top 4 anymore.
    we need kroenke out and usmanov in.

    wenger has made some questionable tactical decisions, but its a shame he consistently gets blamed for arsenals failures. He is a brilliant manager, and although i would love to see him at arsenal, I hope he can go to a club this summer that actually appreciates his brilliance, not openly bash him at games after all he has done for the past 20 years.

    One thing that irks me about these videos (they are very well made) is you keep saying 'Kroenke did this' and 'Kroenke did that'. Kroenke only became the owner of Arsenal in 2011, and he only became involved with the club at all in 2008-ish, well after the Emirates was built. All the long term planning at Arsenal pre-Emirates was all down to Wenger, David Dein, Ken Friar, Peter Hill Wood, and Danny Fiszman, no one else. Kroenke had nothing to do with the construction of the Emirates, or Arsenal's initial financial plans for the post-Emirates decade.

    One thing I learned from Arsenal is that it doesn’t matter how good your players and management are as long as your owner is shit. The one who cuts the checks will always be the number one factor in the organization’s success.
