TariqTheTutor it's the corrupted owner that we have to worry about. Arsenal was way better financially/performance wise back then. We may have more money now/bigger stadium now but during Highbury we still attracted good players that eventually win us trophies. Fast forward to 2017, only 3 FA Cups to boasts about. Nothing special. Just corruption from the board.

Haslan Roslan, I live in Los Angeles and have been tracking Stan Kroenke for quite some time. He is a slime ball and hates spending money for his players. As an Arsenal fan as well, I'm pretty certain that the team is in big trouble. I know Wenger is seen as being too old and out of touch. But, my take on it is that Wenger is the only thing holding Arsenal together. Once Wegner retires, we're F'ed.

When Kroenke purchased the Colorado Avalance, they were a hockey powerhouse. Now they are one of the worst teams in the history of the NHL. He was banking on fan loyalty to continue paying high ticket prices while he (and his son) refused to buy players. This is what Arsenal fans are starting to experience now and it will only get worse. Kroenke brings the Wal Mart theory of low quality and low wages to sports, and its a disaster for fans.

Nice! I'm so looking forward to the future...-.- Why can't he just sell his stokes in Arsenal if he wants more money? Giving it over to Usmanov who actually is a fan of the club and wants to see success. I mean it's pretty clear the club is on the verge of dying out and won't make as much money if that happens so wouldn't it be more lucrative for him to just sell it now before it falls completely? Would be a win-win imo. He gets money, Arsenal get an owner with ambition and Usmanov really doesn't care THAT much about making the most profit possible.

PGE GONNERS FIRM I dunno about Wenger’s tactics being ‘out of date’, he still had his moments. He bossed the FA Cup final 2 years ago against Conte’s Chelsea which was a record breaking FA Cup win for both Arsenal and himself.
I’d say Wenger’s real downfall was getting too comfortable with all of those 3rd/4th place finishes. Notice the Arsenal owners were okay with him not winning a trophy for 9 years, but the one season he finished 5th (with a trophy) is when the staff, players, etc. were REALLY starting to turn on him. Looking backing on it now, it’s obvious that they wasn’t finishing in the top 4 to have a go at actually winning the UCL, but because of the profits that UCL qualification was bringing to the club.
And even now, barely anything has changed under Emery. They brought in a chequebook manager without giving him a chequebook lol. Managers can’t help if Arsenal as a whole is still being ran with a business-like mentality by the owners.

As an American from the Midwest (Kansas City, on the opposite side of Missouri from St. Louis - and, yes, I have heard both pronunciations of St. Louis and am fine with either but personally lean towards "Lewis") and as a FORMER St. Louis Rams fan, I think this video only covers a small part of Senor Stan's distasteful behavior. I say "former" because I abandoned the team following this unnecessary move.
Set aside the fact that he lied his team out of St. Louis with a little help from Jerry Fucking Jones - who got the other NFL owners to vote against their own committee's 5-1 blessing of the Carson plan (which would have moved the Chargers and Raiders to LA and kept the Rams in STL, where I still maintain they belong) ON A SECRET BALLOT. Shortly after that despicable vote, Stan bought a large ranch in north Texas and evicted a long-standing settlement on the ranch, directly resulting in one man's suicide.
For the idiots who say that St. Louis didn't support the team: no winning record in over a decade, including the NFL's worst 5-year stretch ever (15-65 from 2007-2011 - which would get a team relegated many times over in an open system like England's). That will naturally put a dent in any attendance figures. Also, of the three cities at risk of losing teams to LA - St. Louis, San Diego and Oakland - St. Louis was the ONLY city to come up with a viable stadium plan, and the league's front office STILL claimed it wasn't good enough.
    Stan is scum.

Would you support 15-65, the worst 5 years in NFL history? How about 10+ years without a winning record? Because THAT is what St. Louis had to support. If fan support is a magical measure of where a team comes home, why do you think this team left LA in the first place? LA is not generally known for supporting football - unless it's the one team the NFL told to stay away from LA, the Raiders. So do research before vomiting Stan's bullshit reasoning for abandoning STL.

I think that is because you guys have a too extreme form of capatalism running the country! And no I don't want communism! I think this Anti-Communism propaganda during the cold war harmed your country extremely. That form of capitalism basically takes the power from the people and gives it directly to the rich and forms corruption in the state. You guys seem to be so anti communistic that even the slightest bit of social aspect is seen as evil communistic plan to kill all people... Even Bernie Sanders was labeled a socialist when he would only be center over here in Europe and we are faaaar away from being socialistic or communistic.
That being said I find it sad that lobbyism is basically running your country right now and I'm concerned about it (in general not just this case with Kroenke here), rich people and companies really have waaayyy to much influence on political stuff over there (not saying lobbyism doesn't exist in Europe because it does, it just isn't that extreme (yet), you guys really need to get this issue sorted out, because "the greatest democracy on earth" doesn't really seem that democratic to me right now :/
I really think americans should finally understand that not only two extremes on the far left and the far right. Imo a capitalist system which is limited to regulate the gap between extremely poor and extremely rich while still benefitting from the advantages of capitalism such as initiative of one's own, competition and progress. That with a healthy social state which helps the people and keeps companies and rich people from having too much influence on political issues.

Time for an update, especially considering how his *real* project (SoFi Stadium) has come along, as well as a Superbowl Championship. TBF, he's also invested money in Arsenal the past couple of years, and has lucked out with Arteta. He is a businessman first and sportsman second (at most).
Here is what most people don't get: business is amoral. If Kroenke actually ran Walmart, and it made business sense to offer living wages and decent benefits to employees, he would do it. But he didn't run Walmart- he only was on the board for 4 years, and probably had little influence on wage policies- his primary concern was the survival of the business entity.
One other detail this video covered, and that is the fact Kroenke's wealth is self made. No help from Sam Walton. No profiting from national resource give-away. No royal family funding of his enterprises. And no known ties with immoral labor practices or criminal elements.
Kroenke will never be a fan's owner, he just doesn't get (or care to get) fans' passion for sport. As long as he makes money, he won't have to.

Keeping Wenger for so many years despite so few trophies is an embarrassment and speaks very badly of Arsenal Management.
Just because you're keeping the same guy and keeping his project doesn't mean you're doing it right. Football managers need to be accountable for their results. I think deep down every Arsenal fan knows what his team has been for the last 15 years: an elite mediocre team.
Everyone knows what Arsenal's Modus Operandi has been for the last 15 years: a team that will be in the first 5 or 6 spots of the premier league but that will NOT win the title.
A team that will probably access to Champions or Europa League, but that everyone knows that will be out by the first knockout stage.
A team with a big budget and a huge fan base (42.5 M worldwide) that every once in a while will say 'hey, everything is fine we won the FA Cup or some other MINOR cup'.
But, you know what? Everything is NOT FINE. With Arsenal fanbase and budget ONLY the Premier league title , Champions league title or UEFA league title could be accepted as a successful campaign.
If you don't get any of those, then, necessarily by the end of EACH SEASON a good management would recognize the failure and probably bring new blood. Of course, I'm not talking just about players, I'm talking SPECIALLY about a new manager.
    And things will only get worst as seasons will come if something doesn't change. 5 years ago, Arsenal lazy management could get away with it, but not anymore. Huge money has been injected by accountable management in football clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. And, not only that, other teams with lower budgets, like Tottenham or Liverpool have a lot of self esteem and are fighting every season despite their limitations to get the best players they can get and the best new talent they can afford;
You can say whatever you want about Liverpool, but those guys are always trying to get back the status they once had. They get their managers and players accountable if they don't win the Premier title.
And then, you have Arsenal F.C. The same shit every season. The same Wenger. The same FA irrelevant trophy. The same everything. In conclusion, the same unaccountable mediocrity.

With Usmanov's assets being seized lately, one could only imagine what would happen should Arsenal still be owned by him, or even still had shares from him. It's not a compliment to Kroenke of course, but it's an interesting "what if" scenario in light of recent events.
Also, it's pronounced "Saint Lewis". Guess it's easy to make the mistake since a popular turn of the century song did pronounce it "Louie"

This is probably why england will never win a world cup. Too obsessed with a fucking name of a sport when it can be called different ways worldwide

Arsenal fans, as a fan of the Avs, I feel your pain. Totally incompetent management is common in an ESK ran team.
