I for years doubted the Kronkes but the reasoning behind why they have invested until the last 3 season makes perfect sense.

I'm not a Chelsea fan, but to say they were a 'busted flush' before Abramovich is wide of the mark. Chelsea won the last ever European Cup Winners Cup plus a few FA Cups and were already a top four club before Abramovich. The likes of Zola, Hassilbank, Tore Andre Flo, Ediur Gudjohnsson, Frank Lampard, Marcel Desially, Poyet, Cudicini were all at the club pre Roman.
Financially you were at that time
Barcelona had Messi, Suarez, Busquets, pique at the club and they are in huge debt. Chelsea were close to being in administration due to finances and Roman saved them
