This guy is real , love him , proper gunner and to be helping prisoners just shows his character as a person he is loved
Great idea for his project about helping prisoners rehabilitate in there local club area. Great idea , there’s a lot of talented people in prisons 👏👏👏👏
He's really for real. I absolutely love David Dein. ❤👍😎🇯🇲
Always just wanted to say Thank you to David Dein for all he did for Arsenal ...he was so instrumental in making the club what it is today
One of Arsenal’s great admired and adored and ahead of the rest in his time at the club and now giving again opportunities for the ones that need it is a great gesture I hope he gets a knighthood as he deserves recognition for his services and being a decent guy in all he’s done for the game and people in general .
Such a classy gentleman ..no wonder he brought in Arsene.
Best thing to happen to arsenal would love him back at our club. A real G
Real legend of arsenal, met him and he has the best jokes and stories about rival clubs 😂
What a great man David Dein is the guy who transformed Arsenal football club Respect.
George Graham did that. He gave Arsenal are pride back. He bought the greatest back 5 ever Seaman Dixon Adams Bould and Winterburn for less than 2m
It's a shame we don't hear much from David Dein. The man who discovered Wenger.what a great!
Fun fact: It was actually Dein's WIFE who recommended Wenger to him.
This guy ❤. Honestly just a 💎 of a man. Thanks for everything sir
What a legend this guy is
Sky Sports wouldn't exist as it is without David Dein. Dein was the major architect of the formation of the Premier League
I didn’t know it at the time but partly due to this man I most likely need to thank for being an Arsenal fan now in my mid thirties!
Top legend
Pure Class of a human being
I’m a Liverpool fc fan yet this guy is just pure legend 👌🏾👌🏾🔥
Dein and Arsene should definitely be on the board. Wenger should have gone upstairs straight away but relations with the fans had soured so much he would have been blamed for subsequent troubles.
He oozes humility; his look portrays what he is.
A real legend of the game. Wish Arsenal can bring Dein & Wenger back in some capacity.
Wenger will never go back...because when things go bad, God forbid, the fans will blame him
Na, time to stop living in the past... move on. These man need to enjoy their retirement and do what THEY want.
The Legend that is Mr Dein thanks for all you did for us Gunners and football in general
COYG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As long as Arsenal have genuine folks like him around, inside or outside the club, we will be fine.
Only wish the current owners would buy into these values a bit more, I know its asking a lot from businessmen, but some things are worth more than money.
Completely agree. The most frustrating thing is having people like this only strengthens the club effectively on and off the pitch, which would lead to success.
David Dein’s class, knowledge + experience, paired with the current resources would be so powerful.
@@danieldefoe7590 need him and Wenger on the board
what do you want them to do more exactly? they own the club 100% and they've shown that they are willing to invest.
@@sreekarkandala388 that’s the least they can do after years of neglect. We were o. The verge of being a super club.
One of Arsenal unsung heroes, love this guy, the things he done for Arsenal and continues to do charitable things, Sir David Dein!
A real gentleman 👏
David Dein in my opinion made a colossal contribution to the history of Arsenal FC. We Arsenal fans especially of the older brigade hold in awe the Herbert Chapman influence, David Dein was thee brains of the club, foresight, Courage, Conviction, a brilliant negotiator and businessman, we owe him so much for everything especially the Arsene arrival.
Wenger was never the same after David Dein left Arsenal. Dein was instrumental in our success under both Graham and Wenger (more so under Wenger)
Good to hear from Mr. David Dein
Was amazing for arsenal football club. A true arsenal man and genuinly a nice guy.
Am a Liverpool f.c fan but this man oozes class. His demeanour while talking is incredible.
Such a shame how he left ,deserved to be Chairman , how many in that position can u name who goes to watch the reserves and youth teams in the pouring rain as well as the 1st team, looking forward to the book
Wow what a man... helping out the boys in the can... legend in the game
The best of the best.Thank you for everything Sir
The interviewer seems to appear either he's being held captive or just didnt bother to prepare or maybe didnt even know this interview was gonna take place.
without dein, theres no wenger, with no wenger, theres no henry, no invincibles, no emirates. imagine that. single most important man to walk into highbury.
David wanted Alex Ferguson in 1989 but the board said no
Real Legend!
Without David Dein I don’t think I would have been an Arsenal fan, grateful for what he has done
🔴⚪️ Legend never been the same since he left 🤦🏿♂️
You feel proud that this fine gentleman was running the football club you’re supporting.
Everything went south after this legend left.
Love this guy- ALWAYS had respect for him....it was a sad day when he left!
We want him back, we didn’t won any major trophy since he left the club.
Legend
I can imaging how AW felt. Arsenal was his whole world during those 20+yrs. To end the journey in such manner could not had leave a good feeling on him. Yet a man as wise as AW, I think he realised as well, he should not be there and let the club going towards the new way they have been wanted without any sort of influences from himself. We all seen how other clubs are doing when such invisible force was present. Eventually I believe that he will return and the statue for him outside the Emirates Stadium which I think should be the biggest statue will be a perfect reason to welcome back the greatest AFC manager of all times.
What a man ⏸️🚫🧢
The interviewer Rob seemed half asleep lol
David Dein is a football genius; always has been. He has to advise both the Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wenger to actually agree to allow Arsene’s stunning statue to be produced outside the stadium, and for Arsene to turn up and accept it… time has gone too far, and he deserves to accept it now.
What a man!
The queen was a arsenal fan !
Man idk i had a lil tear in the corner of my eye while hearing David dein speak, i was too young when he was in Arsenal.
So sorry for the younger generation it was a great time before oil money corrupted the game
Yeah I have heard about it and have watched old matches too
@@mikem8211 pain 😞
@@FatTodd I call it Arse-Pain 🤣🤣🤣
@@mikem8211 it’s the hope that kills us brother hahaha
what a guy!
I was so gutted when Arsenal let this man go. It was so shocking bk he was a pillar at the club
I am one of the few old skool Gooners I know that genuinely appreciated Fein, most.others couldn't bear him. I still feet him leaving was the beginning of our decline. Wish him all the best.
Love this man
Met him once a really nice guy
Dein and Wenger to return to arsenals board to help guide the young guns who need to make that next step. Edu and artetas modern approaches (recruitment and coaching) combined with the experience and wisdom of these two dons
wenger wont come back!!! dein maybe.
Legend of the game
Met him once actually a really nice guy
One word legend
Definitely going to buy this book
These guys loves arsenal you could just see it no wonder why where we so successful back then .
Legend for Arsenal but also the Premier League!
Top bloke.
Love Dein!
If my mum can see me now ❤true legend
Club legend.
Mans came with a mini toilet...Legend
One of the good guys!
Arsenal=Class🏆
Arsenal Legend off the pitch.
Worst thing he did was introducing Arsenal to the Kroenkes. That cancels out his legendary status for me
No it doesn't , he wanted usmanov to take over but the other shareholders refused to sell their shares to him on a number of occasions and that was another one of the reasons dein left, blame the board not dein
haha! an ungrateful arsenal fan! what a surprise
@@headbackshot1524 He was the one who introduced Stan to Arsenal mate!!
Kroenke is a shame for football.
@@starlitgaming2419 Rich from you to just narrow a massive fan base to a minority opinion
It’s like ringing out a dry tea towel this conversation. Only needed Robert Peston to get involved to really mix things up
The best
Interviewer is defo a spurs fan 💀
Good on you for your work on rehabilitation in the UK prison system.
No coincidence… our decline followed his departure
Aye because he sold out to Kroonke!!
That's because at the time Arsenal was owned buy a football fanatic now it's owned by a business man.
Combination of dein leaving arsenal and abramovich entering football was the beginning of the end of arsenal. We will be back though COYG 🔴
Than city came in as well and took arsenal talents for a while
“Flushed with success” 😂😂😂😂
Super David Dein
The presenter either did the questions as he want along or is really tired. Lethargic or what but still good insight from Dein
Don David
This interview feels so clumsy, just bumbling along to fill the allotted time.
Our club went downhill since he left 🙏 please come back
This is such a shambolic interview. The journalist just doesn’t have any legitimate questions. There are so many awkward pauses. Also how is the background noise so loud?
it's worth pointing out David's son Darren is still Terry Henry's agent and was agent to a number of our players.
This guy is Mr arsenal
It's a real shame David Dein isn't involved with running Arsenal. He's the reason why we have the invincible.
Arsenal were ready to launch on young ronaldo than united just reacted faster just shows how elite both teams recruitment teams were back than
We tried to get Messi aswell
Brooo have we missed you or whatttt😔
Dean n wenger was the perfect partnership and when he left the board placed too much on wenger, and hired the men hence the decline at the time especially when we could dominated the league
wow... the toilet is still working very well
The old board members at Arsenal were dinosaurs including the late Mr. Hill-Wood. Mr. Dein as usual was the visionary who saw what was coming to football which is the new money and they were all felt threatened by this.
Telling me too get a job with a football club I should get arrested?🤣
If dean was at arsenal players like eden hazard luis Suarez even drogba would have been over the line wenger negligence in transfer window was the problem he didn't wanna overpay and no one was near his level to even say otherwise
Why don't you Blame his replacement rather than Wenger? Arsene already had a demanding job so if the club had him replace Dean on transfers then surely the club is at fault rather than him !
@@phileast1654 Wenger was the one who allowed Dein to not be replaced, he reveled in having more power. This was Arsene's own doing.
@@patchh15 No, the board decided not to replace Dein - Wenger didn't have their power to override the board.
Interesting point
Detatched and disconnected Sky interviewer. We need a REAL passionate Arsenal fan to interviw him. There will be a different level of insight and passion in that.
odd that he mentioned more kids playing football, while the recent academies dramatically reduced the competition and the number potentially being signed by a club
i wondered why david dein was doing the rounds he has a book to flog
They work 90 minutes or 180 minutes per week, train for 3 hours 3 days a week, They have 4 weeks holiday......Ignoring what they get paid....they dont need a bigger break. These Atheletes run 26km a week on average.....and they need a large break? come to the real world.
L E G E N D !
that's all.
This interviewer isn't exactly Paxman
Historical stories
Arsenal never the same after Dein left. Unfortunately linked up with Usmanov, otherwise Stan may have brought him back into the fold.
Not really, one of the reason he can't come back (or the reasons why) was his fallout with Danny Fizaman who sold his shares on condition that David Dein was not allowed back into the club ..there is more this than meets the eye ... transfers in and out??? ... he mentions the 1989 but not George Graham interesting enough ... this interviewer I a bit awkward though 😅
@@elgonm289 I have never heard about this stipulation that Danny Fiszon made. Dein introduced Kroenke to the club, Hill-Wood first said we don't need his sort. Dein tried to come back in with Usmanov and Fiszmans ill health meant he sold to Kroenke. Yes part of this was to stop Dein and Usmanov getting the shares, but by that point Kroenke was also done with Dein as he was in bed with Usmanov. Ultimately Dein was right, Fiszmon wanted Arsenal to be self sufficient and the Emirates was part of that equation. Dein believed Arsenal shouldn't spend so much on the stadium and get an investor to keep competitive on the pitch. Arsenal have proven not to be self sufficient and competitive, the Kroenke finances over the last few years have been vital to the club.
@@nozislam I think there is also the fact Dein was trying to get in more investors into the club, you quite rightly stated about Peter Hill-Wood saying "we don't need his sort"....I thought everyone knew about Ashley Cole moving over £5000 and stupid Arsenal fans booing him everytime.. same with Robin Persie being literally sold-off to our rivals despite Robin wanting to know what the club was doing to challenge... I get what you have said, that Kronekes finally realising what is needed to run Football Club in England and their finally worked out what it is to be an owner of Football Club in England... we definitely need Arsene Wenger back in role of responsibility at the Arsenal to help the clueless board and support the footballing side.
@@nozislam yes cos they heavily relied on FFP to take hold which never happened
Is it me, or does the interviewer seem unprepared?
What a meshugana
That toilet seat is more than what spurs have got. COYG!
Nice hair.
