    Arteta was amazing at Everton , at arsenal he was played out of position as a CDM mainly to replace Alex song . I remember he was never highly rated at arsenal but he was very hard working , great leader and his reading of game was excellent
    He was accused of not creating many goals but he was playing deeper due to Arsenal's defensive issues
    He is one of the few players who gave it all for the club and was in tears in his last match

    Another suggestion for a video on how the personality of manager needs to fit with the clubs and supporters culture. For eg: Someone like Pep Guardiola will never be as popular or revered like Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool

    • @charlieh2081
      @charlieh2081 Pƙed 3 lety +6

      Pep suited Barcelona's culture, he was huge there. A player for a long time who came in with tactics that iterated on Cruyff's which is a pillar of Barcelona's Identity. At City though yeah he's not quite the perfect match culture-wise. Klopp would be great anywhere, his personality would see him loved by all fans.

      @@charlieh2081 Yeah!! Exactly. Pep was born to manage Barcelona. Eventhough I agree that Klopp will be great anywhere , I don't think he will ever go to a club like PSG or Man City. He himself has told he didn't want to manage Man Utd. It's not just the playing style, but more about the identity of the club and the culture of the cities it is based on.

      Me too. I think he was left with a few players that don't fit his philosophy and what he wants to achieve in the long term. Given time, I think Arteta would be an amazing manager for Arsenal, as long he's given the support and the top brass at the club has trophies and good culture as their mentality.

    I had a weird-ass dream that Arteta had a psychic before every game telling him the result. During training for the Norwich game, his psychic told him that it was going to be a 0-0 draw so he screamed at the players before the game for allowing such a poor result to happen! Someone in the team, I think it was AMN, spoke up and said that it was ridiculous, so Arteta gave him a red card... somehow...

      Exactly dude! Arteta is doing an amazing job from a tactical point of view and his man management has been nothing short of superb. Half the goals conceded are because of sloppy defending and individual errors. They have got to take responsibility or else better players need to be bought. Not all blame can fall on the manager in losing games.

    Arteta's signing as manager at Arsenal seems to have parallels to SAF's joining at United. It's about a change in culture and attitude . Of course many other factors play a role in this era determining club success, but a significant support by the board is what wasn't there at Arsenal before and Arteta needs it the most.
    He has the ideas and brain to be like SAF and Arsene and can be as successful as them . Only time will validate my statement.

      Let's hope Luiz keeps up his performances like the ones against City and Liverpool. Pablo Mari can also become the CB we desire, he has all the proper attributes of a good CB. He has good game awareness, strong tackling abilities, tall enough to win aerial challenges, good man marking skills. Plus he is left footed which will give Arsenal defense versatility and a good ball distribution ability. He only lacks in speed but I think the other attributes make up for it. Let's hope for the best!
