Chris Paukert, Roadshow by CNET was impressive... thx for having him on....
Thank you, John. Looking forward to driving these antiques.
my trolling drone friend.... do us all a favor and stay off the road... since you could not handle them....
I love chat of this quality. So many great insights. On evs the show has gone from scepticism to acceptance to better analysis on the new reality. Great show. Deserves far higher viewing numbers. This will happen I am sure.
Tony Roma is the Tony Stark of GM. Great interview. Love the Cadillac V-Series since the original.
Gary, Exxon Mobil left the DJIA and Tesla joined the S&P 500.
Great show! I enjoy all of them!
My 2020 CT5-V I daily drive, but my CT5-V Blackwing will be for the weekend!!!
They should have made the CT5-V non blackwing to 435 HP. Their CTS VSport was 420HP. Glad the manuals are back and give the drivers the control again.
Great Show...
Ct5 looks great
Exon Mobil was taken off the Dow exchange and replaced by Salesforce. Tesla joined the S&P 500.
Maybe the last of the hot rod Caddies, and legendary is not too strong a word.
And just wait until Lingenfelter get their hands on one, that’s gonna be something to see!
As an auto enthusiast I've been beaten down by the continued production growth of CUV/SUV vehicles that are just not any fun to drive.
Tesla problem is not a lack of memory but a problem with the memory re-rewriting. It can only be done so many times before degradation
The Blackwing's debut coincides with the Model S refresh. Both have similar prices. How do they compare?
Cadillac is from the 20th century , Tesla is from the future , like 21st century, GM stock is $ 54/ share ,TSLA is in the $850+or $4250 if you bought 6 months ago.
regarding the computer chip and NASA... My university "Ryerson university" in Toronto Canada got a free computer system from IBM in the 80's. The computers were compliment of NASA. NASA "old" computer system went dead and needed a old system replacement that could read punch cards for data acquisition. IBM no longer built those system so went looking for one via its client base. Ryerson was offered a state of the art system with i think 50 terminals for free compliments of NASA. In short, they traded a $5k system for a $200k system. pretty good i would say... I liked it but early CAD would knock out the entire system when we tried to turn the 3D simulations.
Close ratio 4 speed with an overdrive 5th is preferred. 6 speed manual's like rowing a boat with 200 RPM between shifts in normal traffic.
Tony Roma was a treat but he dodged tf outta some of those questions 😂
Great show! Tony Roma was good and Chris Paukert is always interesting. But I’m looking forward to the day when the pandemic is over and you can let Vasilash out of that Zoom closet he seems to have gotten himself locked into. 😁
Cadillac says they are going all electric, but still making pushrod gas guzzlers. My guess is these will sell like the XLR and ELR where it took years after production stoped to get rid of them all. Meanwhile GM didn't even make the top 20 list of global plug-in vehicle sales last year.
But GM did make a handsome profit last year, and we will likely see a fleet of EV's coming out from them in the next year. I think by next Spring GM will have 6 EV models in production.... New Bolt, Bolt EUV, Hummer EV SUT, BrightDrop EV600, LYRIQ, and Hummer EV SUV Meanwhile the CT4 and CT5 are likely the last of their type for Cadillac, I think they will sell Ok, and likely be a collectors item someday.
One Exception: Tesla still going vertical integration. Tesla may offer "Software as Service" products? who can compete with Tesla?
Tesla is an easy target, E-Tron and Taycan crushed S and X sales last year, Now VW is coming after 3 and Y with their ID3 and ID4, this year , and ID6 next year.
Cadillac
Tesla is losing money selling cars. GM is about to show them how to sell EVs.
Guys, you could connect the dots between your own subjects: what Apple is hopefully doing is trying to develop with Hyundai group some kind of OS that would rival Google’s efforts. Their Car Play is already sth that can future-proof any car but it is limited to entertainment
Nope, since Apple (or Google) does not need a deal like this "just" to develop its vehicle OS versions... (that is what the Ford/Google deal is about)
Why would I buy an old gasoline powered vehicle?
take your meds.... since ur trolling has confused you.... no one was talking about anything that is old... SMH....
Hi Elon. Are you still long GME?
respect Elon, since he became a billionaire being a con man... his fanboys just waste time playing the fool for free
You might not, but there are people who will buy the Blackwing just to maintain their delusion that Elon is a conman and Tesla is a cult -- By making the performance almost as good as a Performance 3 or Y at the price of an S, owners can pretend that Tesla's superior specs are just lies.
Wrong, since Elon's con is "not" Tesla's vehicles or tech... which should be respected...
Elon's "real" con was getting Tesla's board (which he picked) into to giving him a contract that has empowered him to drain billions from Tesla... And to get mindless cult drones to consider him a deity...
BTW it amusing and a bizarre cult drone conspiracy. To think anyone would spend that much money to buy a Blackwing model just to send a statement to Elon or Tesla??? FLMAO.... What some ppl think makes sense....
Put manuals in electric sports cars! 3 on the floor!
1st 0-75mph
2nd 75-150mph
3rd 150mph-drag limit
Bruh electric cars don't have transmissions
@@adriandotexe The Porsche has 2 gears.
Carnot Cycle has peaked?
Confirms gM closer to bankruptcy. Should be spending all on electrification.
20 year goal, perhaps 20 years late ? [same for C8 Corvette?]
1960s GM 53% market share long trend down, now near 17% in US. Globally VW & Toyota larger, right?
How will these Caddy CT sales compare with Model S ??
CT4 and CT5 sales blow Model S away in the USA and China. S sales sets the bar low... Even Taycan outsold that last year, even at twice the price...
more than 75% of the market is not interested in EV. you got to keep your products going not just abandon them because something else has come along
@@foreverinteriors What? I think you should stay off drugs.... Every survey or report I have read says 50% or more of American's want to try an EV when its time to replace their car. Have you driven an EV? ICE is still good for some things, mostly moving heavy things over long distances, but for transporting people and stuff around town EV hard to beat... More fun to drive, cheaper to operate, save time not going to gas stations, and better for the planet.
@@dmitchellhomes yup driven a few Tesla’s, and since I’m not an idiot or on drugs I perfectly understand that if 50% of vehicles available were to be EV right now, they would have to give them away. 17 million cars are sold in north AMERICA every year and less the 500,000 are electric. More so “sir” , 90 million cars are sold every year world wide. More than 3/4 of the world can’t support electric, hell if u live in a apartment building you can barely support electric. It will come and it will be good one day (6 to 10 years, two product cycles) but the market today is not there. The infrastructure is NOT there. Gas stations out number EV station almost 10,000 to one. If you have a market research team with some sort of magic information , please let me know because mine is definitely accurate.
@@foreverinteriors OK, I agree with you that infrastructure has to grow, but when more people buy EV's it will by demand. Now, EV's are not selling in the USA in big numbers because there is not much choice, and they are not filling all segments. Each EV that comes out with descent design and spec sells well. I think we are just in the top of the first inning of EV's and you are going to see big increases in volume each year going forward as more reasonably priced EV's come to market. As for the rest of your BS, its just FUD.
The raspy millimeter fortunately tame because semicolon frequently scorch below a youthful raft. wrong, many shape
....with all due respect....please....get a new producer,....the music is just embarrassing.... having said that I agree with the comment below me.-who can compete with Tesla?
10 years too late. good cars though.
10 years ago the CTS-V was pretty good, I had one.
