Who where the biggest and best bodybuilder of all time? How did they train? I don't think mentzer and yates come even close in that discussion and their methods where defenetly not the best.
Also this video is out of context yates is smarter, he knows. Even mentzer admited that HIT is not the best training method for hypertrophy.

@@willmach I have great respect for Ronnie, my point it's not necessary to destroy your body. Coleman would have looked the same if he never trained below 12 reps, and he would have greatly reduced his risk. Look at Dorian Yates, he trained the same way and his body is destroyed also. It was a mistake made starting with Mike Mentzer that propagated for decades. Now we know through many studies that muscle gain is independent of rep range, in other words 1-6 rep, 10-12, 15-20 all produce the same muscle growth, but higher reps greatly reduce injury chance and severity.

It's always been about intensity. No matter what system you're using, if you don't do deliberate controlled intense training, it's all for nothing. I hurt my back last year. I have just returned to training a few months ago, and people are like man "You are so genetically gifted you are getting it back fast." When the truth is I just understand how to train and eat. There is no secret even if you use the secret sauce. You still have to do A and B to get C.

Or maybe we should sleep intensively for just one hour a night and eat food till failure once a day?
