Super common with any wireless headphones people use to workout with, usually there's issues charging as well especially if you're using earbuds that charge via contact points.

A tech repair guy repairing his own devices is a bit like an architect designing himself a home
I do mowing, landscaping, roofing, construction, and even went through automotive for 3 years in highschool, do all my own work nearly everywhere, it's great, always put up signs with my number too 🤷🏻♀️ free advertising on anything applicable, they'll think its just somewhere I worked 🤣
nah, an architect would carefully plan and design intentionally for their own home. a tech repair guy puts a lot less effort and care into repairing their own stuff
i mean i work own electronic devices xbox iphones some android phones and mac laptops pc as a hobby and if i break my phone or laptop whatever it may be i have the skill to fix it so why pay a random person more to do a shoty job when i can do it myself and know how well i did main reason i got into it was because people kept messing up my electronics devices by using cheap parts or tryna scam me by telling me my $800 phone has a bad logic board and offering me $20 when it just needs a screen and is worth $500 as is

It’s internal, it’s literally not a lightning connector. They have no reason to use anything else. Nothing is as simple, functional, and robust as that little connector. I don’t understand the fuss.

There is specialized contact spray for cars available for this. Or tuner 500 for sensitive electronics.

Just randomly stumbled across this video and fixed my own airpod max's.
I looked at a teardown of these just after the 1st gen Max's came out, and noted they had batteries and separate radio circuits in each ear-cup.
Glad to see that Apple have *finally* realised that you _can_ connect earpieces together through the headband, too... 🙃
I hate how the band on the top looses its elasticity , mine lasted 6 months
That happened to me once. I sent it to Apple and they just replaced the left ear cup and the headband for free.

Id also suggest a tiny bit of dielectric grease, should prevent corrosion and moisture, works great on my rc cars to go into deep water with non waterproof parts and connections

I had no idea the AirPods Max could do that… if that’s all it takes to fix that damn issue, then I’m definitely gonna get some of that isopropyl alcohol!
You should use a microfiber cloth instead of scratching the metal with metal. Unless it’s a car battery then use a wire brush ☕️

I prefer this kinda connection though if one side just doesnt work anymore just replace it with a new one. Probably the most repairable headphones out right now, though I know theres the IEM's you can also buy, but those are usually in ears.

Yeah I use to have them little sweat and they was done for .. I had them replace 4 times and the manger came out of the last attempt to fix them and just gave me a refund

Hey everyone, these “lightning” connectors are pretty common and change shape and pins in a lot of tech,.. they also go by another name called… ribbon cables. But these ones are easier and more durable so you can actually get to and clean them easily without breaking them. Y’all will complain about anything. It’s not like this is a proprietary charging port. It’s a simple thing to transmit data. So shut up about “waaahhhh Apple won’t stop using lightning.” They pretty much have in all their tech save for older models and some other small things. Focus your energy on bitching about something important than what a company uses to make internal connections… connect to internal parts.

You also use a SIM ejector tool to open the Apple Vision Pro's battery pack cable, which believe or not, also uses a proprietary Lightning-looking connector. They just can't let that Lightning connector go 😂
