I travel a LOT and I spent 2 months traveling South Africa last year and the people are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! It’s definitely a place that you need to know where to be and where not to be but if you know that, it’s a beautiful country with amazing things and wonderful people. The history is very interesting even just in general and I would def take a little time and do some research!

My aunt (born and raised in California) moved to Africa at 30 and lived there until she died at 67. She always felt more at home there, she would say the people are way more nice and happier. I'm extremely uneducated on a lot of different parts of the world. Money, taxes, politics, etc. I live in the US and I've never really left the area I'm from. With that being said, America isn't that great. Our roads are absolutely horrible, our health insurance is horrible and it costs a lot for almost nothing, our government is a mess, there's a mass amount of homelessness, groceries are at an all time high, our food is extremely processed, yeah there's good things like clean water and such but, the cost of living is ridiculous anymore. Tell him he better really really research before making a final decision. Maybe even coming over for a vacation/holiday to see what it's like before deciding.

They are both correct. This is 100% me and my husband. I think that he wants to come to the U.S. because people have put in his head that the streets are paved with milk and honey. I prefer to live the life of a small village person in Senegal. 😂 We will split the difference... Summer in the States (no malaria) Winter in Africa (no snow).
I'm extremely uneducated on a lot of different parts of the world. Money, taxes, politics, etc. I live in the US and I've never really left the area I'm from. With that being said, America isn't that great. Our roads are absolutely horrible, our health insurance is horrible and it costs a lot for almost nothing, our government is a mess, there's a mass amount of homelessness, groceries are at an all time high, our food is extremely processed, yeah there's good things like clean water and such but, the cost of living is ridiculous anymore. Tell him he better really really research before making a final decision. Maybe even coming over for a vacation/holiday to see what it's like before deciding.

@@stenitez9724 add, doing a vacation/ trip at times when the weather is "Bad", so he can see what it's like 4-6 months out of the year for some states - and then be expected to get to work on time, and nobody cares about the cow that blocked the only road you can take lol.
