    Ry, you have the best videos buddy...I'm a excellent griller/smoker BUT looking for new ideas done right and fun to watch...you're the best!!!
    Really enjoyed the Weber Kettle modification for the Temp cables. It confirmed for me no structural degrade of the bottom due to cutting the rolled web of the kettle. OUTSTANDING!!!

      Thanks! Yeah I've had no issues with stability since making the sensor slot. I realized, though, that a matching slot in the lid is almost never necessary unless I'm feeding four wires through. Two wires rest easily below the lid edge no matter what position it is rotated to :)

    Just perfectly done. Question - how did you arrange your coals under the Grill Stone? And how much charcoal did you use? We are so thrilled that the stone is working for you!

    • @CookingWithRy
      @CookingWithRy  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks! I used 3/4 of a chimney that was lit arranged spread out under the grill stone and about 1/4 unlit under the opening so that I could stoke the coals with fresh fuel as needed. Didn't really need to, though. Temp was pretty solid near 300 for the entire cook :)

    • @BBQDragon
      @BBQDragon Před 5 lety +1

      Oh, cool - that's a great idea putting the unlit coals there ready to be pushed in. Regarding the coal consumption, we've found that one chimney of charcoal can last maybe 3 hours depending on temp.
