Three EASY Summer Side Dishes - Ry's Famous Pasta Salad, Smackaroni Salad, & Summer Potato Salad
Summer is almost here and for me that means it’s time to start planning those side dishes to go along with all the great food coming off the grills in the coming months.
Ry’s Famous Pasta Salad Dressing Ingredients
½ cup Olive Oil
¼ cup Red Wine Vinegar
1 TBSP Minced Garlic
1 tsp Dried Basil
½ tsp Dried Oregano
¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
½ tsp Brown Mustard
1 shake Tabasco Sauce

1 lb Corkscrew Pasta
½ lb Dry Salami
½ lb Provolone Cheese
¼ Red Onion
6 oz Peperoncini
1 cup Small Tomatoes
3 oz Pitted Sliced Black Olives
12 oz Marinated Artichoke Hearts
2 oz Shredded Parmesan Cheese

    I cooked 4 racks of ribs this weekend in my PBC. 4 different rubs, 4 different sauces. ZERO difference in taste. Any advice? Great tenderness, great smoky flavor, no variation in taste.

    In summary, 3 hours around 225 (spritz every hour with apple cider/apple cider vinegar), 1.5 hours wrap and put in pan, douse with Worcester and 1/2 C water and spray and cover with foil, and .5 hour back on grill. Add sauce if desired!

    Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Worked one year fine, then started popping breaker at pre-heat. Different outlets, same issue. I would have liked to see if the issue was with either the element or the thermostat. Since you changed both, we don't really know. Did Charbroil recommend replacing both? Mine is no longer under warranty and I got by the issue by using an extension cord into a non-GFCI outlet. Stupid, but it works. Planningn to contact Charbroil and see how much the parts will cost. Thanks again.

      After posting my comment, I have just found that Charbroil had issued a recall on my digital electric smoker February 15 2024 for this very issue. They will be sending a "repair kit" with instructions they value at $32.99, for free. Let's hope it fixes the issue.

    Hi Ry, I am in Australia and have been following you and your Weber Menus for a few years. Everything you do is just great. I have a 1993 Red Kettle still going strong and use it regularly. I have made friends with 2 people who run my local Weber dealership and have invited them for a Weber Dinner at my home in a few weeks. I will be smoking and braising Beef Short Ribs with garlic mashed potato, baby carrots, and green beans. What would you suggest as a clever starter to serve before the ribs to impress my guests. I can do something quite separate as I also have Weber Go Anywhere as well as a Gas Grill. Perhaps something really tasty but not too large to spoil their appetite for the ribs. Your advice would be really appreciated. Maybe some seafood or prawn/shrimp kebabs?? Please help.

    Looks delicious! - I just watched Knowing again after a long while, the movie is v thought provoking, what are your thoughts on the auroras reaching so far south recently? Maybe indicates a weakening magnetic field?

    I'm low carb high protein but occasionally I'll eat a pasta / macaroni salad that I make homemade. I will try yours next time. Mine is simple and really good yours looks good and totally different I guess it depends on grocery cost like artichoke hearts as to how much they cost on that salad. Food prices are ridiculous.

    I used your rub minus the Chile powder, and smoked two baby backs for 7 hrs on my Weber, no foil, everyone loved them. They were done when they broke when I picked them up!!

    Little tip if you want that smoke flavor and you're cooking in an air fryer, use Liquid Smoke in your mixture.

    Nice! I have the Char-Griller Gravity 980 charcoal grill/smoker. It’s similar to the Masterbuilt. After two years I replaced the PID controller with the FireBoard 2 Pro. It’s solid as a tank now. I love it.

    I smoked a chuck roast tonight. Pulled it out at 140 because the kids were hungry. It was a bit chewy, medium rare yet absolutely fantastic! You cannot go wrong with a chuck roast.

      It has 2 wheels. Surprisingly easy to move.

      It's pretty strong. Moving it by lifting with the shelf hasn't been any problem. And it still surprises me how light it feels compared to my pellet grill. Maybe it's the balance on the wheels. Not sure.
