Has to be the best DLC track. This has always been my favorite rainbow road and it is SO FUN on MK8 deluxe now!
The red caution tape in the 3DS version actually means that you can make a jump shortcut. Which is why it's at the end of the track where the shortcut is and at the beginning of the turn in lap 2 since you can make that jump as well although risky. I think the reason it was removed was mostly because the tracks are way thinner on the 3DS so when they made the tracks bigger the shortcuts just didn't work so they removed the tape.
Hands down the best track of the Booster Course Pass. :D
Wow, this track looks beautiful in 8 Deluxe but I didn't realize how big the visual upgrade from Tour was until watching this video
Anyone notices that the Converter Belts from Rainbow Road 3DS makes noises as you drive on them; but the Remastered Rainbow Road 3DS and Tour Converter Belts doesn’t make noises.
Mario Kart 7 was my first Mario Kart so to see Rainbow Road back and to hear the music, it's just a dream come true
Mario kart super circuit was my first mario mario kart ds also mario kart wii then mario kart 7
Same bro. 7 had the best track loadout imo, well until deluxe came out.
I still think 3DS Rainbow road is absolutely magical and it’s a good reason as to why MK7 is my favourite Mario Kart game.
It has been a dream come true to see 3ds rainbow road on a home HD console!
So beautiful… so smooth… so fluid
I want a paint colour made like the road texture in MK8DX
Something you didn't mention is that the final lap version of this track sadly doesn't have the moon variation when you back up into the moon section. The Galaxy used in the background is the Andromeda Galaxy rather than the usual galaxy background. The planet Uranus was also replaced by Neptune. You can also see Earth in the background.
All of these are mentioned, but thank you for watching!
Also the Converter Belts from Rainbow Road 3DS makes noises as you drive on them; but the Remastered Rainbow Road 3DS and Tour Converter Belts doesn’t make noises.
@@ctrejo2013 Check 09:11.
@@PeachToadstool Remember they updated the moving back and forth cars and were turned into spinning cars at Coconut Mall?
@@ctrejo2013 Yep; we've been on the look out for updates like those.
3ds rainbow road will always be my favorite number one Mario track!
Oh, by the way, the end of the road with the holes had Dash Panels at the tip but only a ramp for both Tour and Switch. I realised that when the project wrapped up. Also, I wasn't sure if it were worth noting because of just being strange texture differences, but the spots on the Mushroom Trampoline seem to glow in Tour.
1:27 Wait...I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT
I played Mariokart 7 for around 5 years and still missed it lol, There was no reason to try fall into the void there
Awesome video
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it!

The track is amazing no matter what.
Facts!!!
Well it is the same track, so yeah
@@knuclear200x There's slight differences.
@@SaltyToad00 yup. can't mess with perfection
@@knuclear200x And if you do, then you end up with Toad Circuit in 8 Deluxe.
The moon version is just so good
this is my favorite track of all time
The small speed boost from the panels at the start of the last section.
Amazing track
It still looks amazing
The purple ray of light at the end being removed for tour and switch is kinda sad tbh
It was replaced by a more real sunlight, and it's location was changed, sad :(
@@andressuarez1728 and think was smaller the location, size, and cola is was sealed the deal
Whoa!
Speaking of missing sound effects from the 3ds, the mushroom had a unique sound heard when bouncing off it that's no longer heard in Switch and Tour
Wave tree was awesome, Peach Garden and Maple treeway roads was my favourite and so nostalgic to me. Mario kart 7 roads was better in Mario kart 8 deluxe than original versions like rainbow road. But of Corse Mario Kart 7 IS AWESOME game, nostalgic games to me are Mario Kart Wii and DS. Rainbow Road IS one of greatest roads on Mario Kart, that music IS so good and I like The space so much, that Looks like our solar system. 🔥🔥
I don't get why the moon has anti-gravity. If anything that would be the one place it wouldn't be needed in this track.
Agreed.
I won't get into why I disagree personally, but I would like to mention that the anti-gravity mechanic in Mario Kart 8 was actually originally INSPIRED by that very section. So even if it wasn't necessary, for legacy purposes it would've been a massive missed opportunity to not have it there.
@@scamuel1896 Out of curiosity, how was the anti-gravity part inspired by the moon section?
@Chris Perry The way I see it, the moon is the one place I'd expect to have normal-ish gravity since it's the object with the most mass. Gravity would act the most normal there, where the roads are not even above the moon, so would require artificial gravity to keep the cars on them.
Of course this is applying real life physics to Mario, which doesn't really recognize physics, but having anti-grav everywhere else except the moon makes the most sense to me.
It’s consistent with the moon battle course, that also has antigravity, and it may be based on how media often portrays the moon’s surface to have gravity so low you can do floaty high jumps with ease, it’s definitely something that shouldn’t make sense, just fun cartoony spacey stuff
10:26 Pure chaos.
Now we just need DS Rainbow Road added!
Agree, it's either that or a brand new rainbow road with anti gravity
Jesus that was detailed...
The original sounds better and is better overall gameplaywise change my mind
Why chomp no bark?
final lap
We need merry mountain
Keep your eyes peeled!
@@PeachToadstool ok
Make one with the smash bros 3ds stage
Uranus was removed because it couldn't handle all the pointing and laughing
Please behave yourself.
When are we getting Rainbow Road Wii back
wave 6
Datamines and patterns point to its inclusion at the end of the Spiny Cup. See you this time next year mate 👍
@@scamuel1896 Neither one necessarily does now that the prefix leak is invalid, but considering that RatgorlHunter, the leaker who broke that news (and got Wave 2/3 correct with the changes to Wave 3 compared to the datamined prefetches) already backed Wii Rainbow Road for the DLC, we're chilling regardless
@@PikaPhantom_ The prefix leak isn't necessarily invalid, it's just not finalized. Everything was lining up perfectly until Maple Treeway was switched with one of the originally predicted wave 3 tracks. Given that Maple Treeway was included in the soundtrack leak, it's safe to say there was already a lot of progress on the track and for one reason or another Nintendo simply wanted to release it sooner than initially planned (maybe the track it replaced wasn't progressing as intended?). From this it's likely that the other tracks will indeed match the leaked prefixes, but with some specific positions switched around here and there as Nintendo desires.
@@Marshall.R That's exactly what I'm thinking. It just doesn't necessarily indicate that the Wii track ending the Spiny cup would be another track confirmed for Tour through datamining, like Daisy Circuit or Dry Dry Ruins. But if it's Rainbow Road like the leaker said, then yeah, I expect it to end the cup
Wow!
I'm torn between on both versions of 3DS Rainbow Road's music track. Don't know why, I'm used to the original.
Hey
I wish there was a new Rainbow road
When we get Mario Kart 9.
@@ForceMaximus84 tour is mk9
@@mikayel6175 By now, there's no such thing as a 'main Mario Kart game' anymore. Nobody can ever agree on which games are mainline.
