- Booster Course Wave 4 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is here, and we’re checking out All Changes and differences made for the returning courses. The final race of the Fruit Cup is Yoshi’s Island. This magical land is a loving re-creation of the location of Yoshi’s big adventure of the same name and its various environments, such as the vast flower garden by Yoshi’s House, an underwater castle surrounded by a lush jungle, and even the clouds high in the sky, above where Goonies fly. So how do the Tour and Switch versions differ from each other? Let’s find out!

Oh, everyone, I wanted to add an extra note regarding the Piranha Plant biting noise. That is the same sound effect as in the SNES title, too--not just the defeated sound!
The channel is showing up as “Peach Toadstool” for me
@@JosefTBB That's me! I'm definitely using my Peach Toadstool account right now. I'm Mathew in the video.
5:53, if you look closely in 8, you can see the footprints on the clouds
Ohh, you're right! They're presented very differently and blend in with the cloud texture.
1:57 This makes me wanna have a giant 3-D Yoshi Island game!
Yoshi's Island is such a nostalgic classic. Good times. The Athletic theme is so iconic.
This was a really fun one, especially when you talked about references to the other Yoshi games. I had no idea this one was in tour.
Thank you! Yeah; the Tour version came out Tuesday night (or Wednesday, depending on time zone), which allowed for this video to be made. The references are numerous, and the throwbacks are a huge part of the appeal.
In the Tour version Sky tower has the same colors like in the original game but in 8dx it has a different colors.
Like how each have something the other doesn't (not counting the reverse and trick variants)
Alright, I waited until you finished uploading all Wave 4 analysis videos and you guys did good on them if I do say. But I want to ask if you still guys are still planning on doing analysis/comparison videos for the Wave 1 tracks of the Booster Course Pass? If you guys are still doing it then how far along are you guys in terms of those videos in particular?
Thank you! Yep, we still plan to produce Wave 1 course analyses! The project has been in the works, but it was put on hold for Wave 4 when the trailer came out. We're not sure yet if we'll release the videos as they're ready going forward, or if we'll wait until the full set is done. We may ask viewers for preference!
@@PeachToadstool Well that's entirely up to you guys, but if you have no video ideas at the moment you could proceed with releasing the Wave 1 video then. If I have to guess Wave 5 probably won't be released until around July or August so that should give you ample time to release all 8 videos. But as I said, it's up to you guys,
@@JaredDimock Oh, sorry; I meant to say that we're not sure if we'll release as they're done individually or wait until the full set is complete and release them in quick succession. Right now, I'm the only one working on these course analysis videos with the exception of Tom on thumbnails and Tris on Tour footage.
Ooh!
Yeah you Made it
Can you place this video between Wii DK Summit and Tour Bangkok Rush?
We're on it!
Done!
I found a track Error at 4:10
If they make Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Deluxe, this course could be repurposed into a stage in Smash, making a new Yoshi related stage. The Mario Kart 8 version of the course would be used as the basis, with somewhat improved graphics. The Yoshi series music would be used rather than the Mario Kart music, thus treating as a Yoshi stage rather than a Mario Kart stage.
This course could inspire a remake of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island.
Wave 5 needs a bowser castle
Was this the last one?
For Wave 4, yep! Stay tuned for Wave 5...and also Wave 1!
@@PeachToadstool Wait, Wave 1? Does that mean you began making these on Wave 2?
@@1JAM229 Because Shroom Ridge (a Wave 1 track) didn't come to Tour until a couple weeks ago.
@@1JAM229 Yep! I created a video for Wave 1 that covered all of the courses in one, but it had errors and we since had the analysis split by course, which allowed this to become a proper All Changes analysis series. We received feedback suggesting Wave 1 coverage by both inside the team and from viewers, so it's happening!
imagine prefering anfd liking mario kart tour lmao
I like Mario Kart Tour, but I don’t prefer it over any other Mario karts (except maybe the first one)
Hot take: MKTour is better than every handheld Mario Kart game outside of DS (8DX doesn't count).
I have plenty of friends who ONLY play Tour. I'm not a fan, but they get on my case for not playing with them! Tour IS Mario Kart for a lot of people whether we like it or not.
this is the most ‘haven’t played since launch’ comment i've ever seen
@@Grindelsire Oh yeah, when the game was forced Portrait Mode.
