- Booster Course Wave 5 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is here, and we’re checking out All Changes and differences made for the returning courses. The first race of the Feather Cup is Tour Athens Dash. As the capital of Greece and one of the oldest active settlements in the world, this site hosts the various ruins of the Athenian Acropolis, such as multiple open-air theatres, remnants of the Roman Agora of the lost empire, and the grand Temple of Athena, known as the Parthenon. So how does the most recent update differ from its mobile appearance? Let’s find out!

@@GameXplain I don't really hear *_*any*_* traditional Greek musical instruments in the Athens Dash music soundtrack (aside from perhaps the Bazouki - and *_only_* briefly, if *_AT ALL_* there). Therefore, I'm quite disappointed with the musical soundtrack for this racecourse; I was expecting some sort of traditional-sounding Greek folk music melody for it!

As for speaking Greek here, that applies to each course where English isn't the primary spoken language in the city, too. Athens Das was surprisingly good, I haven't played much Mario Kart Tour but ive downloaded it again to my phone and will played it again after year 2022 when i played it last time. These Mario Kart videos are my favourite on this channel. 😆

Toad Circuit is done already, but we'll have that, Choco Mountain, and Coconut Mall uploaded once this set is done. You can imagine if we kept to those instead of the newer Wave 5, that many would be upset! But rest assured, the rest of Wave 1 are in the works, just on hold!
Do these track analysis videos come out once every week?
They used to come out in different intervals, usually no more than a week apart, but it's not like that right now. The next one is still in progress, but it's very possibly the largest analysis of the series yet, so it takes time.
The switch version definitely looks better of the two from what you're showing. Good coverage.

Why didn't you wait until Athens Dash 3 released and you had posted the rest of the Wave 1 videos to post this?
Like don't get me wrong, I'm all for another Comparison video but wouldn't it have made more sense to post this after Wave 1 and Athens Dash 3?
Unlike with Yoshi's Island and Squeaky Clean Sprint, this is a standard city course from Tour and was in the same position as in Sydney Sprint. We're going to have a video to cover everything that came to Tour after the analyses (including Waluigi Stadium), so this will be addressed properly. Nintendo have not officially announced Athens Dash 3 (even though it's in the data mine), so it's not clear when we'll see it. It could be the very next tour, or it could be months down the road.

Yep, I believe that's the Church of Panagia Kapnikarea. There were so many spots I wanted to mention in the background, but wished to avoid too many distractions. And many churches are in other city tracks, especially Paris Promenade!

When are you going to do All Changes in Toad Circuit, Mathew?
Already done! We're going to release that, Choco Mountain, and Coconut Mall once the Wave 5 set is done. Zelda was holding progress back a lot for older track analyses, but we should be able to release the rest of the Golden Dash Cup long before Wave 6 releases.

@@jasonfeiner318 The Lucky Cat Cup will be covered in full, although we're not sure when the release can happen just yet. But Tokyo Blur will include landmark names and the Japanese language, and Ninja Hideaway will get into the cultural influences, in addition to the differences between versions.
Pretty fun track in 150cc, but super annoying when playing on 200cc.

I'm sorry but either the pronunciation made it unrecognizable the phrase not used in greek or the adjective used did not match the subject (in gender or case)
I know you had the greatest intentions and I don't want to be mean but it was somewhat inaccurate
I apologise for any inaccuracies. I had multiple spoken sources and strict practice, so it's very possible there's poor dialect and incorrect grammar in some of those sources. I questioned if glykó (γλυκό) was acceptable, when glykiá (γλυκιά) was the preferred in certain contexts. There's only so much I can do with studying.

6:37, since you are talking about music which is feminin you would need to use the feminin adjective "Φανταστική" (pronunced: fadastiki)
And by "reached out to me" you mean replied to a comment of mine?
@@MikeTheMcer Ah, there was no way for me to know that φανταστικός was incorrect in that context, since every source used that or φανταστικό. I'm happy to learn such details, but it's certainly why I wanted to speak with you before the video. I had to go fully solo on this one. This hopefully will not repeat for Rome Avanti. Thank you for your input. (And yes, I replied to a comment in an Athens Dash video, because I had no other way to reach you.)
