I saw Def Leppard and yes Joe Elliot is the lead singer...They were 18-19 years old when they did this, same age as me at the time and we lined up to buy their cassettes and concert tickets lol
Mad respect for picking one of their lesser known songs! Straight up banger!
The two no longer in the band are the twin guitarist, Steve Clark, the blonde, he died in '93 from Alcoholism. Pete Willis was fired after this album, then Phil Collen joined. After Clark passed, Vivian Campbell joined. This was '81, I was 16, this album was incredible, this and Van Halen Fair Warning was the 2 that rocked my world.
1981 is when this came out! I was 16 when it was released!
I heard this song for the first time in the summer of 1982 when I visited my cousin in Florida. His band played it, he was lead singer. RIP cousin. Brings back memories. Yes, it took 1 year for music to spread around the globe at that time. No internet, just word of mouth and radio. lol...
Thanks
You should check out Comin' under fire!
LOVE a this song still!! Great early Def Leppard with The brilliant late Steve Clark.
Yes, in 1981 they all had perms. Joe Elliot had darker hair, he had it colored in 1983. This is the original band. Original lead guitarist Pete Willis is still in the band. He was not let go til he recorded the rhythm tracks for Pyromania. He was too drunk to get any guitar solos recorded. So after a long time coming he was let go and replaced by Phil Collen.
it's the same lead singer, he's just younger ahah
Thank you for your awesome reaction to the great sounds of Def Leppard! Glad you like it!
I got to see 'em in 83, but it was earlier songs like this that made me a fan.
80's
The short guy with dark hair with guitar is Pete Willis their original (replaced by Phil Collen). Same lead vocalist
One of my favourites for sure. Hello America from the same album is another one of my favourites. 🤟
Hello America is off their first album, On through The Night (1980) - Let it Go is off their second album, High N Dry (1981)
First album, very young, Joe sexyass Elliot.. same guys
Yes same singer throughout
Phil Collin is not in the band yet, after Steve Clark died, whos in this video, then Phil joined!
please try stagefright man :D
Joe Elliott/singer from the beginning to now
Rick Savage/bass from beginning to now
Rick Allen/drums he joined the band on his 15th birthday and is still there of course
Steve Clark R.I.P 1991/co lead guitar until his untimely death. Vivian Campbell joined the band in 1992.
Pete Willis/ co lead guitar was kicked out of the band before recording Pyromania. Enter Phil Collen 1982
Def Leppard started to suck after they kicked Pete out.
@@thegorn68 It was worse after Steve died. You could tell when they weren't using music Steve had written. Steve and Pete was Definitely my fave combo
Hey Lisa. Hope all is well with you!
@@Austinreactss I was in a medically induced coma because of complications. I'm finally home and I don't have your number anymore
Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened to you 😔 I'm happy you're better now!! I'm glad to see you back ❤
No ...its different singer ..this is BILLY elliot ....and on guitar is joe satriani and rockyzed blakemere - bass is jaco pasture and on drums - phil collins ....no hang on ,that was him on guitar .....sorry not sure
At that stage The Drummer had 2 arms before his accident in 84
Same lead singer. Just add blonde hair and a mullet.
Oh wow he looks so different
Since you like good old rock songs check out April Wine's song 'I Like to Rock'. It is a good fun rocking song. They do a lot of 3 guitar harmonies in their solos. Another good song is 'Roller'. Awesome band from the 70s.
Pete Willis is the really tiny guitar player who got fired because he drank too much, that is a very young Joe Elliott singing, Rick Savage is the original bass player who is still with them today, Steve Clark the blonde guitar player died, and Rick Allen on drums(lost his arm and had a special drum kit made) anything after High N Dry was too poppy for me! High N Dry is there best, straightforward hard rock!
Joe Elliott
Same lead singer all their timeline, just changed guitarists, Pete (left) and replaced by Phil and Steve (who died from Drug overdose) and replaced by Vivian
Steve died from an accidental overdose. He had broken ribs at the time and was prescribed pain killers but unfortunately drank alcohol while while taking them, and unfortunately took to many which caused his death.
This and Bringing on the heartbreak are my two most favorite Def Leppard songs of all their music.... This is before they became commercial and put out just more radio music... Don't get me wrong all Def Leppard is good but the early albums On through the night, High N Dry album just rocks... This is when Steve Clark the late Steve Clark I should say and the great Pete Willis were still with the band
Pyromania wasnt that commercial compared to Hysteria and had some more darker songs and could be wild as well.
oh your using your phone to record videos just like I'm doing, I don't know how your quality Is better than Mine, Is your phone TLC?
Well I clean the camera right before I use it everytime that helps a bit
@@Austinreactss that makes the 2 of us there, I don't know If your quality good, or something that I don't know
So few reactions to pre-Hysteria era Leppard … occasionally see Photograph or Bringin On The Heartbreak, and not much else. Imho, High N Dry, and Pyromania were far superior albums.
How would you know it's an awesome song? You talked all the way through it young man. Talk afterwards.
