I remember being just out of High School driving down the street blasting this song Rock Brigade in my 1970 SS Chevelle with a big block 454 when this song came out. Those days do not exist anymore for young people today.

They were so young when they wrote this, and their music and production just got better and better as they got older. I do like this song alot though, cause its so raw and rocking.

I love your Channel as you know I'm in lockdown with a lot of other people here , so it helps a lot with your friendship and kindness :)
Hope your little vacation is going good ...at the moment I can't do that cos In American terms I can't leave my home more the 3 and a half miles only can leave for work or care or health and shopping , but we can exercise 2 hours a day , so being shacked up looking at 4 walls all day is mentally emotionally and physically tiring and stressful
Being in our 6th lockdown makes it even harder every time we go down that path :(
Your kindness goes a long way on putting a smile on my face
Have a good time with your family my friend
      Cheers from Downunder

Hi Sarah. 'Rock Brigade' is one of my favourite songs (of all time) as it is just so much bloody FUN! It is the definition of the fantasy young kids getting into rock (or indeed starting a band and hitting the stage) have about a life in music. It is a great riff, great drums, slightly cringey lyrics. Perfect. I also love 'Hello America' even though the press in the UK HATED them for writing it - seeing it as selling out etc. As Joe often points out he wrote it while working in a factory, and it was basically just a daydream ..... until it wasn't. Def Leppard did conquer the hearts of America and the world but it is only recently that the music press in the UK have thrown away the stigma they imposed on the band so pointlessly.
Really glad you are enjoying this album and the bands sound. It stays this good all the way in my opinion.🐆🤘🤘

Automatic thumbs up for these songs, they were all teens during the recording of this album, and I know that they were on tour with Ozzy in 81,had a friend who seen them on that tour,I didn't get to see them until a few years later. This album sounds totally different from all of the one's to come 🤘

You never have any privacy when you have a dog. Look at him in the background watching like a hawk. It really makes me appreciate the way my cat mostly ignores me.

I have their 1979 to 1981 box set "The early Years" that came out not too long ago and there is a recording of a live show from before their 1st album came out that sounds amazing, especially considering how young they were at the time.

With Pete Willis, later of the bands Gogmagog and Roadhouse, both of which many people don't know about to this day.
Also, I've heard that they wanted Mutt to produce On Through The Night, but he wasn't available at the time.
