I got the old version thanks to your review (the 9370 4k version). Such an amazing laptop. Truly incredible.
Great review! I ordered my 9380 Frost White yesterday. Can't wait to check it out!
Really love your reviews and your direct style, always to the point. Two things I regret about this device though: no more Windows Hello camera and a design that has been around for a while. I find it is time for a refresh in that matter and therefore I am waiting to see if something else might come up. Great review, Andrew, and thx!
The graph on 6:30 Geekbench 4 Hp spectre x360 i7 shows different between bar and numbers. The bar shows higher than dell xps 13 but actual number is lower than dell xps.
Love the grading system you use!
Very neat review touching all the points. Amazing
Hahahahaha that intro is DOPE!! Yeah this will be my new laptop sometime this year.
Hey Andrew, would you recommend this for editing raw images?
By the way, love your channel 👍
You always make the best reviews of laptops. Like!
Help me choose between xps 13 4K 9380/ hp spectre x360 13 gem cut/ huawei matebook x and x pro/ surface book 2. Main use will be as a student and will be availing student discounts. Which is the best overall package + customer support?
Thank you for this review. I'm on the lookout for a new 13" laptop for web browsing, watching films and TV shows and maybe some light gaming. I will be considering this as an option. :)
Question on the Dell xps 13 9380... When I pressed the power button. It seems that I have to press real deep into the power button and in a certain spot. The fingerprint scanner worked great. I am not sure if this is how the power button works and there is no feedback to this(like a click).. I am in the process of getting it replaced and working with Dell support. I just wanted to see if this was normal. When I do press the button. the screens turn off and at one point, it gave me the option to power down.. Any advice is appreciated... Thank you
What’s your favourite now after using them...Dell XPS 13 vs Huawei Matebook X pro? Is the screen size big enough on Dell XPS 13 for work?
Great review
love the XPS as well
Mine will be here tomorrow! Got the same color combination ! the late 2019 model .
Great review of a great product Andy 👍
a little bit off topic here Andrew but which pair of glasses are you wearing in this video, really like the look of them
Great review. I couldn't agree more. The next generation of the Dell XPS 13 should have dedicated graphics like the Huawei Matebook X Pro or Razer Blade Stealth. Otherwise, it seems like a fantastic 13" laptop. Although, it's very expensive. It's paying the XPS tax rather than Apple's.
I hope Dell updates the XPS 15 this year; it's beginning to show its age. Fingers crossed that they'll move the webcam up top on the XPS 15, too. I love the Frost White color option for the XPS 13 because it doesn't collect/show prints. If Dell doesn't make some changes to modernize the XPS 15, I'm getting the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme. I wish Microsoft would put a H-series processor in the Surface Book instead of an ultrabook CPU, but I won't hold my breath.
Anyone know the name of the piano song in the background? Perhaps you, Mr. David? Absolutely great video by the way :)
Always love your well made reviews
Keep the good work
Thanks really appreciate it 👊
Keeping eyes on your channel for the review of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen 😁
Coolest tech-review guy, always in a great clothing style, nice review as well
Awesome review dude! I subscribed !
Great video bro! I buy it today , I Hope that he is as good as you mentioned , I'll get him another three days, In all cases, I love your video
Which one would you recommend Zenbook S13 or XPS 13?
Great review as usual!
How is the backlit lighting?
any dell xps 13 9380 user can tell me about the coil whine and heating issue? has there been a bios update for that until today? considering buying it than x1 carbon but still worried about the coil whine and heaiting issue.
For a webcam of that size, it has a very nice image, a lesson for the other manufacturers...
Any other best alternative with comparatively cheap price?
The information was layout in a way a non-tech could understand. My daughter is going to college next fall and this looks good.
Thanks really appreciate it 👊
Can i7 do 1080p video editing?
Good front cam!
I just asked Dell customer service regarding RAM upgrading and they said RAM is upgradable, so could you check it for me once again?
The hinges?
I picked up the Asus UX433 after watching your video. I got if for £899, the new XPS with the same specs (although with 4k display) would have been £1329. That's a huge difference in price over what is also a very premium machine. I think Dell are over pricing a bit.
The Front Cam seems a lot better in visual quality than that on the X1 Carbon.
I like his comments and professional understanding even he looks like a guy from a Italian Mafia Movie. Cool! That's what the community needs - technical understanding and clear, detailed statements. Thanks to Andrew.
Well & helpfully job..
I ordered the new dell XPS 13 and they keep delaying the shipment. The customer service is poor and is taking over a month to ship when their site said it’s already ready to ship when I ordered it. I will never buy from dell again. I hope the product is worth it when I do get it.
I wish I got the matebook x pro instead
It is great . But nothing beats the choice of upgrading RAM and WiFi card
Can’t wait to see how the xps 15 OLED laptop will look!!
When will they come out ?

A review on the new Razer stealth 13 with the MX150 GPU please 🙏🏾
Look at the Thinkpad X1 Carbon (2k HDR) screen brightness 475 (click to 4:51). That's superior over the XPS 13 by 100 nits.
I have 9370 model. Compared to the old MacBook Air the only advantage is obviously the screen. Keyboard and trackpad are better on Air, the interface is also smoother, audio experience with headphones is better on Air. Despite being thinner on paper, in fact XPS has these high rubber stands which make it feel thicker than Air. I don’t understand all the hype around XPS, in fact it’s pretty standard laptop with relatively low quality control - I have exactly the same issue with audio driver as many other users (also, it may seem to be nitpicking, but my unit has a flaw with space button being higher on the left side than on the right). If there was a MateBook 13/14 last year, I’d probably try it instead of XPS. The only competitive advantage is price for a base model - 899$ is fair price. In case you need compact windows laptop, it’s ok, if you need gaming capabilities better choose something with mx150/250 (XPS has 45 fps in Overwatch on low settings), in any other case I’d go for MacBook Pro 2017 - it seems to be more reliable.
Just sold the 2018 I had it went blanked. Going back to HP.
what about coil whine
i still feel like my surface book 2 13” is perfect since it has nvidia 1050 gpu and pen support
This or x1 ?
Great video. The best part is 00:36 - haha
Thanks Chris! 😎
two honest CZcamsrs in the same place!
Once you go 3:2 aspect ratio, it's hard going back to these 13 inch 16:9 laptops.
I need a laptop for work, not youtube and netflix.
Which devices have a 3:2 screen? Just Microsoft Surface stuff?
I like the jacket... where to buy it?
Good quality laptops are available in any of the Panda-market stores
This is all well and good, but the real question is will it last for more than the warranty period? Dell has a bad rap for longevity.
4:18 what video is that? Is it on CZcams?
Just search LG Jazz HDR on CZcams.. the first video is what you are looking for
Amazing review! Better than most of the crap on CZcams
There is a reason to make the SSD user replacemeable... It makes data recovery possible which is crucial for companies buying lots of these little guys. The new macbooks without the lifeboat port and with the T2 chip will cause serious headaches for companies using them
Your channel is really great. But I have no idea why your suscribers still less than 100k.
I am not as pretty as the other CZcamsrs 😂
Same as me!! One of the best laptop line
I Just bought a hp spectre gem cut or something like that... Wich is better for a student like me?... Please :'c
For student Spectre for taking notes and versatility as convertible
@@andrewmarcdavid thank you
hehe i own this laptop and just wanted to watch some reviews, but honestly, this laptop is amazing and I love it so much. If there must be one down side to it, my rose gold laptop gets scratches from bumps :"( however, the warranty and on-site repairs are super convenient! In conclusion, this laptop was one of my best decisions (aside from the price :"))
If I was in the market for a Windows laptop, this would be my choice with the FHD screen and probably just the 8 gbs of RAM. How responsive is the touchscreen? Is it, or can it be a Windows Ink machine? I'm a touchscreen person and love the ability to use an active pen/stylus on my "toys". If you do a follow up review, say after a month of use, could you possibly answer these questions at that time? Thanks. As always, another great review!
Carmen Nooner sadly the fhd model doesn’t support touch. Otherwise it would have been the perfect machine
@@tapaanshubhadra186 : Thank you for that information. It saddens me that manufacturers are now adding charges for items that should be included, especially at the prices they are now charging. Today's laptops should all have as standard a touchscreen and a backlit keyboard. Those two should no longer be optional or non existent on lesser priced models!
Carmen Nooner absolutely. My heart was all in for the fhd model but seeing no touch and windows hello facial recognition made me change my mind. I think spectre x360 ticks most of the boxes
Nice machine, just missing 4G/LTE sim slot.
I think Dell would have been better off giving this laptop 1mm more (or at least half) and a deeper keyboard and USB A ports
You desrve million subscibers. 👍
Thanks really appreciate it 👊
Best ultrabook. 🇧🇷
i think the shot of the hinges is of another laptop at around 3.40
Yes you are correct mistake on my part. That's what happens when you try to edit three different reviews at once 🤣
Please review MSI ps42 8rc with GTX 1050!, That's like Dell XPS & MacBook Pro
but with powerful GPU and what's not....
Which one do you like more? The Zenbook 14 or the Dell XPS 13 and why?
I have actually the xps 13 9360, and then i brought the zenbook to replace my xps, but I returned it the day after, the zenbook is shiny and all, but i can't compare it to the xps 13 which is steps above it
@@eritreanism Thanks for your comment! Yeah I also think so. Dell is clearly better when it comes to quality and lifetime of a Laptop. I'm going to buy the Dell xps 13 (2019).
@@eritreanism Did you have any problems with coil while?
Yes, they both have coil whine, which you will get used to quickly, but the zenbook touchpad/trackpad is the worst, which I forgot to mention at first. you will know how good windows touchpad is when you try asus
@@eritreanism Sorry but the last sentence makes no sense to me. You mean that Dell's trackpads are nice ?
Xps is nice but s13 is ultrabook of the year by some margin.
Heard its speakers have no bass
My fav. part is at 11:46 ;)
Matebook X Pro has a better aspect ratio with bigger, brighter screen and comes with dedicated graphics for a cheaper price
I agree it is a different machine but is that the use for this business laptop? I understand that people are all about the games but the use case for this laptop is business users and although a 3:2 aspect ratio is nice (I have it on my Surface Laptop 2) I prefer the HP Elitebook in my daily use.
@@aelaan12 So what exactly are the features geared towards business users that are found in the xps 13 thats not in the matebook x pro?
Matebook x pro is the best laptop on the market bar none.
Is it the one with the 8gb ram maximum?
One of the reason for choosing Dell XPS 13 or Lenovo Thinkpads is support for Linux from the manufacturer. Community information is also abundant for these two. I'm not banging on Matebook X Pro... just that I'm not familiar with Linux compatibility/support for it.
Bada Bing!
watching this in xps13...
I’m considering dell xps13 vs x1 carbon
What did you end up with ? I'm in the same boat
Doma Pálvölgyi I’m thinking to buy x1 carbon 7th gen. My old inspiron can still work somethings so I can wait for x1 7th gen. It was hard to decide.
@@peterlim991116 I ended up buying the xps :)
Doma Pálvölgyi xps is really good though! :)
The only thing I wish it had was a 4G modem. Other than that, it's definitely my next laptop.
3:43 that’s not the dell though. That looks like a 2-1 Asus.
Lol just noticed that 😂
Just wanna ask if you ride a motorcycle?
One thing holds it back from being perfect - the mediocre speakers.
Microphone isn't the greatest either
Don't get it. I have it, it sucks. 4k is too much for the UHD620. If you get the HD version it's actually decent as long as you don't mind having some super strong neodymium magnets under your arms at all times.
When did we not care about ports or keyboard,
Pricey
The keyboard is the shits
Never trust someone who wears shades indoors 😐
This vs x1 carbon 🙄🙄🙄
Did Dell finally nail the quality control? Hah, lol that's a joke. Of course they didn't! The review sample you have is probably the most pristine example of the XPS Dell will produce.
This was purchased with my own money. Dell doesn't provide me with review units.
@@andrewmarcdavid thanks for clarifying. Sorry, I went through six XPS's (three 9360s and three 9370s) before I finally gave up with Dell. So, I have a sour taste in my mouth because of that.
No worries. Understandable with your frustrations with Dell.
All I can keep seeing is how much better the Huawei Matebook X Pro is ;-)
No usb a... never a pc to buy
Don't buy this laptop when it's on sale... I think Dell is selling 2nd hand laptops without giving you any information about it. I got a laptop that had a big scratch at the cover and rapidly heated up when I connected it with the power adapter. Today is the 6th day I am waiting for any reaction of the Dell Support....
NEVER Buy a Dell, i have a 2000 euro xps.. its really crap.. bad service, bad battery live.. sound card problems!
