    Andrew !!! Andrew !!! Andrew !!!
From a content creator perspective, I think this is THE BEST (REALLY THE BEST!!!!!!) review I've seen this far !!!! From the quality of the video itself to the comparative analysis (Performance, benchmark, .... HEAT & THERMALS !!!) to the filming angles to the overall display of informations to the transitions of informations to the score & WHO SHOULD BUY THIS DEVICE , .....
And from a consumer perspective, I have all the required informations I need to help me decide !
Man, you got my like & my sub !!! I will go & check your others videos !! I was looking for inspiration to start a channel for a French audience in West Africa & I will try to copy a lil bit of your work (That work is soooo good, I have to steal some of it). Congrats & keep pushing on this GREAT work!

good review! For me - I would get the pro audio volume meter and no only measure the fan noise but also the speakers. This is something that most reviews ommit - yet some of us including me use our laptops for podcasts, YT etc while roaming our apartments. I am yet to advance from my 2021 Yoga 14IL with upward firing speakers - never done tho and even had returned some ASUS vivobooks for being so quiet...

skipped to the battery life test just to see how much of a different it makes to my recently (like really recently, just last week) bought 14 flip up3404. And goddamn, feeling the buyers remorse already 😅. Though the fact that the ux3405 just released in the US, which means it's still a couple or more months to arrive in my country, eases it up a bit. Thanks for the quick performance tests, Andrew!

    • @adnanamin3666

Man, I'm regretting buying it. 😒😒
I've bought the UX3405MA variant (non-touch/32GB/1TB) and it gets real hot when plugged in. Even starts lagging despite being the performance mode active. The battery life? Straight out garbage. Not even close to how CZcamsrs portrayed it in real use cases. Gotta use it in every power saving / efficiency mode possible to hardly do justice to the CZcamsr reviews.
I'm not sure if only my unit experiencing these issues or all the unit from this series, but I'm really disappointed tbh. Where I'm from, including tax, vat etc., it costs around 18-1900 USD. That's the saddest part. ☹☹

The other reviews I watched and descriptions I have read in asus website does not show that zenbook 14 oled with intel core ultra 7 does not come with a pen. So, does the pen come in the box itself or we have to buy it separately?

  • @stevepettifer4896

I might be able to choose my next work laptop and this is on my shortlist. The only slight annoyance is the 16GB of memory which is all we can seem to get in the UK right now (and your dollar price is our GBP price for that 16GB model) and inability to expand it, as I'd like 32GB. Other than that this seems to have more than enough grunt to be a day-to-day developer machine, is nice an light for when I have to travel, and if the OLED screen on my wife's much cheaper recent i3 version is anything to go by, I won't be disappointed.

Hi, could you share which BIOS version you were using for this review? Many of the reviews on this laptop have confusing, unexpected or odd results for battery and CPU performance compared to the HP Spectre, which I'm guessing could be because their BIOS was not updated to the 301 version. Seems really difficult to find information on whether this laptop is really outclassed by the Spectre, or whether it was just an issue with earlier firmware.

Myself I got the EliteBook 835 G10 7840U/32GB/2TB Samsung 990 Pro with FHD which is sufficient for me, but business class matters more, running Opensuse Tumbleweed (linux).

Nice PC. Camera and speakers are good. Display is good. Lack of the numpad on the TouchPad is no big loss since it was not of much use on the older model as configured. Good to see Asus fixed most of the buggiest issues since its release. Great review as always. Happy New Year. Pretty soon you have another anniversary of your 28th coming up. The battery life is very good, the graphics performance is double that of the previous generation, the screen is one of the best on the market, the speakers are not bad at all, you have active pen support and many more features.

Excellent review. Meteor Lake is a good step in the right direction for Intel and frankly, long overdue. The improved GPU and battery performance are, in my humble opinion, the most important changes Intel is bringing to the table. I might offer that your review seemed to understate the value of the 32GB bump in RAM. For all the value Asus packs into this system, it's a bit puzzling as to why they dropped the numeric touchpad. It was a good feature that set them apart from the competition. I was so very close to pulling the trigger on the 2023 Asus Zenbook 14x at $699, but the changes in 2024, particularly the improved battery life, are too important to set aside. I'll wait for the sale price on the 2024 model.

As always excellent video Sir. I don't know how to thank you for so much great content. Thanks🎉
I never expected such a great battery life from a Intel laptop. Great job Intel.
Now we can say Intel laptops has great great battery life and great performance specially in video editing. Intel has FASTEST iGPU for gaming.
    intel nailed this time.

If you could suggest good touchscreen laptops with good pen support with long battery life. I am currently using hp elite folio for the last 2 years and very happy with it. I am a lawyer and use software liquidtext on daily basis. Therefore good pen support is very essential. Thanks.

Hi Andrew, I'm thoroughly enjoying the insightful content you share! Recently, I came across the Framework laptop and its upgrade potential caught my attention. Currently, I'm delving into options within the ZenBook series, particularly drawn to their OLED screens. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the Framework laptop versus the ZenBook, considering my search for a new laptop.
Additionally, focusing specifically on Zenbooks, I'd appreciate your perspective on the ZenBook 14 (14-inch laptop with its impressive 16:10 aspect ratio and OLED screen) versus the ZenBook 15 (15.6 inches OLED with its 16:9 aspect ratio).

EXCELLENT REVIEW I'm looking forward to the one with AMD processor! the blue and white colors brought to Intel are not to my taste, I love the black only in the AMD version, but the thing that amazes me is that every year there is something wrong... the AMD one with the FHD touch ( 1920 x 1200) OLED 16:10 aspect ratio, LED Backlit, 0.2ms response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 400nits, 500nits.... I wonder if it's worth it unlike the 120Hz 3k of the Intel version... sometimes Asus pushes me to look at other brands!

Can this unit make use of an external GPU?
Really impressive performance and battery life for productivity workloads and occasional gaming.
Great review as always. I'd usually find myself revisiting your older videos to compare laptop specs.

Hi guys, just to confirm. I want to ask what is the body of this laptop made of? I am little bit confused because some told me that this laptop made of plastic while some told me that it's made of metal. I not yet have time to come to the store and have a look by myself. So I would appreciate if someone could tell me.

We can actually see at 4:17 that it lifts up when opening with one finger. This has been an issue on mine as well, I've been using it for 2 weeks and it hasn't really loosened up and still can't be opened with one finger. I find this completely unacceptable on a laptop that is marketed as "premium" everywhere. The older ZenBook's did not have this problem either.

A Very Big improvement in performance after the Bios, firmware and Windows updates Andrew! Great OLED screen and clear webcam and audio mics. The audio quality from the internal speakers in my opinion sounds rich and full!! While not much has improved since the 2023 processor, would you recommend the 2024 model or go with the 2023 model? Excellent review as always!! 👍😁

Can you upgrade the storage space on this Asus? I came across an information that the space in it's case is very limited and you can only fit very thin ssd m2 drive. Nothing greater than 1tb. Does anyone know something about it?

    • @sharkfintech5893
      @sharkfintech5893 Před měsícem

You can upgrade it. A commenter in the BestBuy reviews for this laptop said that he upgraded to a 4 TB SSD from the stock 1 TB.
It's OFC worth double-checking with other sources, though. Perhaps go straight to "the" source - Asus themselves - with this question, to confirm.
