Lol at how they're projecting the audio from the speaker drivers out a tiny crevasse on the side of the assembly about a tenth of the surface area of the driver itself. For reference, the XPS 13 9380 was only able to temporarily sustain about 24W on the CPU before throttling down. This is able to sustain 36W before throttling down, and 30W at 88C. Let me know if you would get this!
Probably 9380 with i5/16GB if you're just doing light tasks.
Yeah i am feeling the same too. I was got 9370 model but due to some issue, i got another replacement laptop which is 7390 but with i7 with 4 c instead of 6. So far, the fans kept spinning even when using it on light task as compare to my previous 9370. The score on cinebench r20 is around 1550 which is great in my opinion. Fyi, if you're looking for a quite lapto, i think 9380 would be much reasonable choice because the 7390 is always starting the fans as well as quite little bit hot on the bottom cover.
Hello there sir
My dell xps 13 7390 the 4k model with the i7 10710u only reaches 1.6 ghz and doesnt rises above that. Is there a fix cause it says it is able to reach 4.7 ghz
One of the best channel I've ever seen, you're doing great job reviewing techs.
Keep going 💚
The "squeak" mostly comes from the keys that have the metal stabilizer bars which are coupled with a guide ring or assembly, and when the stabilizer bars hit the guide ring they create a squeak, the only way to solve this is to take off the spacebar and lube the hinges and stabilizer bar. it only takes 10-15mins. Hope anyone finds this helpful
Great video, highly underrated channel.
Great video! Thanks for doing this.
Nice review !
Thank you daddy infinity labs for the good sauce!
Indeed! Just wait til you see the big boy $52K Mac Pro
I cracked my xps 13 7390, do you the price range for a screen replacement???
Hi! Im thinking about buying the hp pavilion with 144 hz. Can you please tell me, is there a huge difference between the 1660 ti and the 1660 ti max q when it comes to noise/dB(A)? have to pay 200€ for the max q but its worth for me if i can just relax without airplane noises next to me.
And what is the quietest gaming laptop you know? dont know shit about laptops.. would really appreciate your help.
Great video
Is this good for programming? Software development?
Please make a video of Inspiron 15 7590 or Vostro 15 7590. It has got almost same specs as XPS 15
Did I hear Mac Pro review next... Nice one bro excited to see that. ;)
Got a maxed out Mac Pro to test as well. Not sure on the Pro Display XDR yet, really hoping to get one in to test. Have also made some arrangements with a custom keyboard manufacturer to get in a space grey anodized aluminum keyboard to match the Mac Pro. Coming tomorrow, gonna lube the stabilizers and all the switches, then soldering it on the 18th, and Mac Pro arriving 19th. Gonna be a big one!
@@InfinityLabsTech that's crazy bro!
Excellent review. Like the HP spectre and the Lenovo C940, this is so close to checking off my boxes, but something with all 3 of these are still missing or an issue. With this device, as a coffee house hopper in a sunny part of the world, this isn't bright enough. Also, the battery isn't big enough and the last thing I want to do is lower brightness to conserve the battery. Finally, there are too many issues I see reported tied to coil whine. Love the look and the 16:10 aspect ratio, but none of the pros of any of these models will stop me from waiting to see what 2020 brings including with the upcoming Samsung Book flex despite its 16:9 aspect ratio. Unlike to others, though I would prefer 16:10 and I'm used to 3:2 on my Google Pixelbook, it isn't a deal breaker for me.
Wait the XPS 13 isn't 16:10 is it? Also agree on the 2020 part. Really hoping Dell finally refreshes the design to improve speaker position and improve the cooler design for a discrete GPU like an MX150.
"battery isn't long enough" - man, I don't think there's a laptop in this world can satisfy your needs. You want 20hrs battery life?
@@randy89555 There isn't. However since I follow technology I know we are on the cusp of new battery tech that will change this, not to mention that a couple of these machines, like the Dell should have bigger batteries to begin with. So you are correct which is why I'm holding out to 2020 because I already know we will see some improvements on these laptops in this area.
Is this for the 1080 or the 4k? I'm sure that could have impact on battery and brightness?
Look at 1:44. Pretty sure it’s 1080p
Review the Acer Predator Triton 500
hello. would you recommend this model for a travelling graphic designer?
Not sure what programs graphics designers use. It's got a good CPU but graphics still pretty weak if your apps use GPU acceleration.
guys my dell xps 13 7390 the 4k model with i7 10710u wont go more than 1.6 ghz. is it normal or do i have a faulty one.????
faulty one
my laptop have same 1.6 ghz
Dude please what happened to blaze it
there is no squiking moise but what I exoerience is fan noise.....
feedback please
Does anyone have track pad scrolling issues? like with 2 finger scrolling gestures for the dell xps 13 7390?
yes same issue with my scrolling pad
IL sir, can you do a best 8th gen intel, mx250 gpu laptop??
That I've personally used? Early 2019 Razer Blade 13 with MX150. MX150 is faster than the MX250 I believe. I think the Huawei Matebook X Pro also has an MX150 or MX250, and I really liked that laptop. Particularly the screen and the speakers. Speakers only tied by the Surface Laptop 3 15", but Matebook X Pro has a much better display. Microsoft used to sell the 2018 Matebook X Pro, not sure if they do anymore but they had it for like 1200 bucks on sale for an i7/16GB RAM/512GB SSD/MX150. Such a good deal.
MX250 , and MX150 are the same. Just a 5% faster the newest
Man, you can see the backlight bleed in the video itself.
Wait… this is the 2017 model not the 2in1 model…
Just bought this laptop for 1429.99 CAN for school work and watching videos
lol
Best ways to keep your laptop cool?
Not undervolting for one. There’s a hardware exploit that compromises all security in all Intel CPUs older than Cascade Lake called Plundervolt. Cooling pads also don’t work. What you can do is use Intel XTU to limit the power draw of the CPU to cap the temps
@@InfinityLabsTech I did undervolting to my lenovo laptop (haswell i7 4700MQ), -70mV seems to be okay (it doesn't crash with it, but does with lower), but the difference in temps are very slight: 4-5 degrees cooler in light tasks (eclipse, browsing, office) and 2-3 degrees cooler in games or benchmarks. I googled and found mixed feedbacks about undervolting (using Intel XTU or ThrottleStop). Some say it'll decrease a lifetime of the CPU, some say it's 100% safe. May I ask you, sir, to answer this with as much technical details as possible, if you have time...
I'm studying for data science so in your opinion which configuration of Dell xps 7390 is enough for me ??
What’d you get bro?
Don't get the lowest version, you need at least 8 gb of RAM
Just traded my ipad for one of these and the battery life is horrible. I get about 3 hours with low brightness and just using Google Chrome. :/
Im surprised you haven't tried the new Dell xps 15, you tubers are putting away their macs more it
Yes, because I'm not in contact with Dell so I don't get any influence on what laptops I review. There's no way to contact their marketing department directly.
Is that 2 videos of XPS 13 from Dav-
Nevermind.
Brb legally changing my name to Dave
Ultra-Low.... Voltage????
Also wish you said some good things about this laptop. I just bought this and you were very negative 🤧
Well you've gotta be more specific than that. If you're expecting there to exist a laptop that's perfect in every aspect, it's impossible. It's contradictory in itself. Want performance, cooling and a good keyboard? You're gonna have to sacrifice size and portability. Pick what you value in a laptop and find one that excels in those areas. Don't just buy the XPS 13 because some guy on the internet said it's good because that's like saying sports cars are good. Good for every day driving? Not a chance. Stiff suspension, bumpy ride, uncomfortable seats, and lacks cargo space.
DELL XPS 13 7390 2 in 1, is the worst laptop ever, it’s completely unreliable! I spent countless hours troubleshooting many problems, Windows 10 is completely broken on this laptop. I still can't reliably transfer files to and from my external HDD's, speed goes very often to 0 B/s for 10s and then resumes for 2s and so on. It's very loud laptop. It wakes up and heats up really hard on closed lid, no update fixed it yet. Most of the problems are maybe because of Windows and I can't switch to linux, because it is not supported... I can't reach any English support from Japan, ffs!!! I just switched to MacBook Pro which is amazing, it just works great and I spent a day to learn it! Now I need to get rid of this crap!
First before smef
Heh, smurfblade and alice
But no GPU 🚮
You can just add a external gpu anyway
@@kinnster7652 External case+GPU = 600$
Aquila Imperiale well I already have a gpu In my desktop I got this laptop and im buying an external enclosure soon to see how it runs should be pretty good
@@kinnster7652 how's the laptop I'm thinking about buying one mainly just to replace my surface pro 4.
Third :/
Third the golden bird
