Smokey i don't even know if a dump job would even be decent for him. One of my childhood buddies became a dump truck worker getting all the trash into the truck etc, It was actually surprisingly well paying for someone in their early 20's. Far better than retail and fast food, but physically speaking? You've got to be up dead early. Follow a strict routine the whole day with each area having a seperate time, Most the workers at the actual dump are either workers at the office handling paperwork and logistics or people with big rigs that need licenses to operate anything. It's one of those jobs that sounds low tier but my homie really got in shape and earned more than we all did at the time, most of us where still being supported by our parents. Ended up doing it for over 10 years too after having a kid too. Genuinely was shocking for us to see Gary the trashman bring more cash to the clubs every weekend than everyone else lol. I'd recommend it for anyone in a bit of a rough patch early in life, he turned everything around with that type of job.

So as someone who has worked in the Medicaid field and knows about the payee, people with developmental disorders and disabilities DO need a payee in which they can manage the dependent's finances on their behalf. i.e. Foodstamps, Unemployment, Housing assistance and whatever other programs are available in that state. The disabled individual would need to comply to continue receiving the benefits and the payee would need to make sure that the disabled's benefits are being used ONLY for the individual. All of this is to ensure that the disabled individual does not misplace their card, abuse their benefits, or be taken advantage of by less than savory individuals (the trolls in this case) as they would not have the capacity to understand what is happening. So if his payee is giving him up to 4k a month that money may be from his benefits and he is doing what Daniel NEEDS to be done, not what he wants. Hats off to Bob for being an amazing patient human being.

I've been looking for a job for 18 months I could never imagine complaining about getting a free couple hundred dollars everyday that's more than a minimum wage full time job thats only worth $300 a week and he gets close to that in 1 day and he is still homeless if that's the case he's just not going to make it.

Bro, I was a trash-man just before I started trade school. The dump is not a good place for someone like Daniel. Maybe ARC would be a good place for him to work. They have donation centers that separate clothing and other things like good will but most of the employees are special needs. The leading staff are usually trained to help someone like Daniel.

The reference to "5 years ago" was actually in 2017 where Daniel spent 44 days in jail for misdemeanour "crimes against person / harassment-strikes shove kick" against his wheelchair bound mother, included criminal mischief / damage property under $300) BUT the felony 3rd degree assault charge (Assault 3rd de - at-risk-knowing reckless inj / felony (basically an assault on a vulnerable individual where Daniel was aware of their disability)) was dismissed by the DA (assume his mother didn't want to fully press all charges on him just enough to get a restraining order hence the misdemeanour instead of the federal charges. Offense date 11/06/2017 - date arrested 10/16/2017 - listed with Colorado Bureau Investigation. Identification Unit, Denver.
My question is why is he not on disability SSI payments? If he went to the Social Services office and explained he is mentally disabled he would definitely be approved ASAP with his records.
He probably doesn't want to have to do the paperwork and get the documents he needs. There's some kind of excuse I'm sure.
It’s quite a process, sometimes takes up to a year. He had SSI a couple years back when he was in group homes but he decided he was too famous to have genuine helpers and without them nothing gets done. I work in mental health and guys like him need a ton of support to pull off getting SSI. It all kinda boils down to no organization acknowledges his fame so he doesn’t trust them.
Because of his history social security probably requires a rep payee to manage his money. He’s too paranoid to allow that.
@DeepFriedHallelujah yes I work in a mental facility. But if you have a laundry list of issues and proven mental handicaps we have got it done in 2 months. It also helps his handie cap is adding to why he is homeless. The folks I've met who aren't on it already sadly are mentally ill folks who don't know how or are delusional enough to think they can get a job even though they haven't worked in 10 years.
Have you seen this while you have worked in mental health too? I know in Virginia if a person to watch over money and you have no one. They have a local office that goes by different names but they work with mentally unstable people and help send out money. I am curious if he has inherited money that would disqualify him from food stamps and ssi.
I don't get it either. When you're mentally unable to manage your finances yourself then yes they typically watti appoint a family member as ur payee,but if you don't have family then they're supposed to appoint a case manager to be the payee.

I work at a shitty little factory and there are several people that have below average IQs or are 300lbs or over, and most of them work 12 hour shifts.. there really is no excuse for these e-beggars not to work if they're that strapped..
I also know countless programs whose sole purpose is getting people with disabilities jobs, and also programs to get those in legal trouble jobs. The housing thing about needing a co-signer I fully believe, apartments are a little more hard, but I guarantee he could find a program that could get him employment if he was even remotely willing to pretend to be normal for 4 hours.

If this was Norway he'd be admitted with force and handcuffs by health professionals and police officers as support, and put on hold for a couple of days and being observed. I've seen people get admitted for less. Insane to me that he gets off so easily.

Not defending Daniel here, but most places, including low income places, want proof of employment, which Daniel won't likely ever be able to provide. They'll want pay stubs, proof you can actually pay the rent, plus a first, last and a deposit.
