Vintage Story Desert Life Ep 32: Landscaping and Waterscaping the Oasis

- Vintage Story Desert Life is a desert-themed survival playthough in version 1.19, with a large list of mods to speed up the process of building and chiseling. While our builds will all (or at least mostly) be in the desert, we are not restricted to hot and arid climates for the purposes of gathering materials and resources.
This series exists as a series of VODs, as well, but for people who prefer their videos in a more manageable length, the VODs will be cut into these shorter episodes and released throughout the week after each livestream, provided that there is enough desire for this format.

Wow. My memory was really fuzzy the last couple of streams. I thought for sure the pathing was made during this stream and have completely no idea what happens on the next one. I do have to say that the rooster pond looks amazing and fits the nearby coop.

It's starting to become a real oasis. The pond looks really nice, now you just need some camels. 😂

The oasis is really coming together - All it needs are those orange trees! With armor almost here im looking forward to some exploration

Heck yeah! I just hit that point in my current world. Man does it feel amazing to be able to delve the depths of all those amazing Better Ruins dungeon like areas and the Mineshafts Mod i have enabled too, dangerous as all get out but super fun to explore when in Iron Plate and Meteoric Iron Black Ornate Shield, I take like no damage lol. The only issue is knockback of the high end drifters and sawblade locusts, that's still brutal and takes so much longer to get back into the action but hey virtually no damage is a game changer.
have you tested the chiselable grass block mod? after all a barren Oasis would be a sad thing
It's not actually a mod anymore! Dirt (with grass) is fully chisel-able in vanilla now. We did it toward the end of the second Guide season! :)

Can u please answer my question. Why won’t you use peat? It so much cheaper than wood!!
Hey I'm sorry if I missed your question in chat. I only look at the chart every so often, so I miss a lot of what goes on.
Anyway, peat doesn't generate this far south. We only have a little, which we got from a ruin as loot. So for us, wood is very much cheaper!
Tule to Thatch is annoying to me because you cant break down thatch into grass but you can make grass into hay then into thatch... what we cant but the long grass bundle in half?! We Seraphs can master Steel Production the old school way but we cant figure out how to cut a bundle of thatch in half into "grass" to start fires and pit kilns... >_>
Tule is just immune to all knives!! Lol
