- Vintage Story Desert Life is a desert-themed survival playthough in version 1.19, with a large list of mods to speed up the process of building and chiseling. While our builds will all (or at least mostly) be in the desert, we are not restricted to hot and arid climates for the purposes of gathering materials and resources.
This series exists as a series of VODs, as well, but for people who prefer their videos in a more manageable length, the VODs will be cut into these shorter episodes and released throughout the week after each livestream, provided that there is enough desire for this format.

I recently found out fruit press are great for fruit preservation, as juice last longer than the whole fruit, and if it is close to getting spoiled you can just ferment it. Plus you get free food for your animals!
My preferred method of fruit preservation is to cook them into meals in sealed crocks, or into jam, which lasts for years even when not sealed. The fruit press takes too much time \ is to temperamental for me! Lol
I don't know if you know this, but you can transfer liquids between containers while still in inventory! It can be a bit finicky at times, but it's easier than putting it down and picking it up. Which makes it especially frustrating that you can't do the same for meals out of crocks in inventory.

I think at one point I knew about transferring liquids in the inventory, but IIRC I also didn't enjoy doing it that way. Probably due to the finickiness you mentioned!
Lol i just do it in world, it feels really really silly to be transferring say water from bucket into a bottle all while it's inside my pocket... xD
@@SnyperMK2000JclL I'd compare it more to the idea of transferring water from a cup in your left hand to your right hand
So there was one mod that really added Mushroom farming as well as flowers and a huge rework to tree growth/health. I really wanted the Mushroom aspect but not the rest as it seemed too annoying to deal with.
About 2 months later i was perusing the mods site again and found Mushroomz, a spin off mod of the previous one however it only adds the Mushroom and Flower farming (as well as a few other plants such as Horsetail). I decided to give it a go and boy ooh boy is it awesome. Much better in my opinion than the other flower farming mods plus mushroom farming at home and thats such a rare thing to find in mods(which i find super weird).
Yeah, I'd like to see some fungiculture come to the vanilla game. If you're talking about the same mod I'm thinking about, is it the one where the trees actually slowly grow up, and can have their leaves shorn & regrow?
Lol awesome! I was literally just mulling over the decision to add or not add that Clay Bee Hives mod(its The Golden Combs right?) but im unsure. What perfection that you are getting into it now so i can get a good showcase ahead of time.
I do have a large patch of cattails planted in the lake behind my house and it gives just enough cattails (+20ish) to refill my Bee Farm after harvesting. So i dont know, ill have to see how it turns out.
The mod is called From Golden Combs, yeah. I'm interested to see how it turns out!
I've been using Golden Combs for a couple of saves. Reusable and I've been able to harvest about every other day.
