How to Install A Pool Safety Cover In Winnipeg
Does the pool sleep at night when everyone leaves
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a good candidate for a chopper gun, lots of fiberglass rope and a lot of vinyl ester resin..
Where can I get affordable replacement bead reciever track!?!
Useless clip
Why is that filter jiggling?
Anyone have Success with using these?
I use one for my home filtration, don’t know how this pool model compares. I’ll tell you copper pipe needs to be used along with copper unions for UV sanitizers as a UV light will degrade the PVC piping.. from the inside. If he use a UV sanitizer, which I’m looking into you wouldn’t use saltwater trying to get away from using chlorine as well. Looking at more of a freshwater solution with the UV sanitizer and just using baking soda if I need to raise ppm or the pH. Still don’t know 100% on how to go about this still doing research..
WHy dont they make pvc ladder cups? I have a few i need to get out. What is easiest way to remove and replace?
The cracks do show through....
Title: "How an Ozonator Works" Content: "Man stumbles through video failing to explain how an ozonator works or what it does."
Ya lost me at Hi
Where and how i can obtain the UV lamp casing ..
Where is the full video
Good tips boys! Going to tackle a new pump install and re-pipe my system. I’m thinking I’ll invest in a good cutter and debur/chamfer tool. You guys sound Canadian!
We are indeed Canadian!
How would it hold up with a dog's nails running around the pool?
You would probably see some granules fall off here or there from the dogs nails but we have installed on steps that get shovelled in winter and it has performed well.
Skimmer in the preview is not what's shown in video.
Can you apply this material on a wood deck?
U guys reped alot of people off eh one little crack on the floor tell the home owner u got to replace the whole floor
I n f o r m a t i v e - Ty! So that's WHY you Don't Backwas your Sand filter for 48 hours after Adding Stabilizer; it takes 48 hrs. to disolve and go through the filter.
😂 ummm how ?! How do you stop the water from draining into the pool? 😅
So the concrete is 15 degrees cooler, but we'll just ignore that. Textured concrete would far surpass.
the shorter the lifespan of rubaroc the better, then you can get rid of it sooner
“It doesn’t need to be resealed!” Nope. Unless you want the colours dull and the black transferring to your shoes.
gross
So I pulled the cap off and sand started coming out worth the water. Is that normal
On Hayward sand filters (and presumably others) there is also a filter that fits inside the nozzle that the cap fits over. I believe that's what keeps the sand from coming out with the water.
shouldnt you get the sample from the deepest end of the pool and atleast 18 below the surface of the pool?
Cool video, and very cool pool
How do I remove it?
For the sticklers out there, you need to take take the water sample elbow deep. Also, what is the reagent number you are using?
that was one of the most superficial videos. you did not explain how the machine works at all. maybe change the title to "a quick waste of your time"
When the wind blows our fan we hear a buzzing sound from a relay even with our breaker off to the heat pump is this normal
light leak dye tester czcams.com/video/0LUBkJnmibA/video.html
should pool water temp above or below air temperature ? I am struggling with setting the right values of air temp, humidity and pool temp.
When you say"fill" do you mean like a mixture of coarse river sand, gravel and dirt? Then do like A 3"-4" thick coat of vermiculite on the top, (level with the rest of the shallow end of course) or do you recommend different material
So if I do all this I can leave the filter outside for the winter?
Yes the filter typically stays in place over the winter after the water is drained and the unit is winterized.
It is well intended but just too generalized and nothing is explained with any sense - what is "it", what "this and this". You really cannot expect people to follow this. It should be a step by step clearly described process.
how do you threadd the springs you are showing? we have a new cover and have to attach the springs and do not know how to thread them
You did not walk on the pool safety cover, as the title would suggest.
No UV degradation over time? Are you sure this stuff doesn’t have to be resealed every few years?
Would this happene to concrete as well?!?!
Yes is can deteriorate overtime. Concrete is quite resilient but softer stones such as limestone with degrade much quicker with salt water
What color combination is this?
Nice! I want to add material to make my pool's deep end from about 8' to 5'. No one goes in the deep end!
Feels like there is sand inside under my pool filter handle after I vacuumed. Why did this happen and how do I fix it, it's very hard to turn.
Hi I was wondering if your could tell me what make of pump that is. I am having a hard time finding a pump with float small enough to fit in my pit.
is there a way to stop it from happening?
There is no way from stopping ground water from appearing easily. Things like a sump pit can be installed and used to evacuate the water that can be trapped around your pool.
I just had this exact issue. Run a garden hose over each valve on the intake side of the pump. You will notice the bubbles in the pump basket disappear. That valve is the culprit. You are taking in a little air. Go on Amazon and by the three O-ring packet (4) sets for $5.99. You will obviously have 3 extra sets for a rainy day. Take a picture of the valve before you disassemble it and at each stage. Remove the 6 or so screws and pull the unit upward. There are two O-rings on the diverter shaft separated by a spacer. Save the spacer. Tere is one larger O-ring on the lid. Replace all three O-rings using a little lubricant. No WD-40! Replace the unit back in the valve and tighten the screws in an opposing pattern. Don't go around in a circle. I am willing to bet the bubbles in the pump and the pool disappear. BTW...if you call in a pool guy they will sell you a new valve for $175 or more plus labor. Trust me this is very easy to do! Good luck.
I’m going to try this! Thx for the comment!
I've noticed that in your video, right after adding R11L blue drops, the color is more purple than pink. In some other videos on CZcams that tests for calcium, the color was more bright pink after adding R11L. Could this interfere with the accuracy of the test? Taylor's own video: czcams.com/video/oyllkB-eDO0/video.html seems to suggest so, but in Taylor's video describing this kind of interference, the color eventually turns purple after adding R12, not right after adding R11L.
I appreciate your efforts to describe an issue with filters working correctly. But the much larger issue than backwashing is the integrity of the filter internals. Simply put, backwashing cycles are rarely the root of the problem, unless backwashing is way overdue. In that case high pressure can crunch grinds and manifolds in the case of DE filters. In the case of sand filters, failures are usually caused by oils and sediment being caught in the sand, allowing water to pass around clumps of sand instead of filtering through it. Backwashing is generally not time related, its more PSI related. As you noted, once you see an 8-10 pound rise in pressure, then it's time to backwash. For some pools, this is a few weeks, for others, a few months. Generally I open DE filters twice a year (spring and fall) to give them a good cleanout. For Sand filters I will usually open the top and blast the sand while the system is in backwash mode. Looks like chocolate milk coming out! Good luck in your career as a pool tech! Keep your eyes and ears open ad learn as much as you can from people who have been doing it for a long time. We love to pass down our experience to younger people. In future videos, you may want to have a local seasoned vet help you along, it will help with your credibility, to be brutally honest. Best Regards!
Huh
You can leave the tablets in it for winter?
