Maybe of couple of samples of How not to use the woofer would be nice and sometimes it's exactly what some people need rather than an audiophile setup. I wanted to hear it as a midrange speaker. Does it hit lows recommended cur off. If highs were warm not metal ringy and frequency cut off. Possibly maximun Rms watts. Thank you.

for cheap diy speakers that might fit well because it is budget friendly. for me, none of those drivers are of interest. my next build will be a 3-way system split up into two boxes. a closed box with two dayton rs225-8 with about 70 liter volume. this a bit oversized volume has a very smooth roll off at the low frequency end and can easy play up to 250Hz to take the load of the mid woofer. which means that the mid woofer does not need a high excursion when played a bit louder and stays comfortably in the linear range with low distortion. for this i will make a separate smaller box with two dayton RS100P-8 and a vifa/peerless xt300ks/4 ring radiator tweeter in the middle. the two RS100P-8 then should play from 250Hz to 2000 or maybe 2500Hz. while the fantastic tweeter could play deeper, like 1000...1500Hz, i like to take the load off in the lower frequencies to reduce the excursion and leaving more power reserves for everything over 2500Hz. this tweeter has a very nice distortion spectrum because it has lower odd harmonics but higher even harmonics which is very pleasing soft for the ears and when playing loud it still is very precise without bad resonances but never sounds harsh in contrast to big metal dome tweeters. to compliment that you need mid woofers, that are very clean above 1kHz. the RS100 come in two variatives, the normal one with aluminium membrane and the P-variant with a paper/kevlar/glass fiber mix cone. i chose the paper cone for the reason of not having harsh resonances in the upper frequencies which are very hard to filter out. the paper variant has a smooth roll off to the higher frequency range and an inner damping capability which should keep everything clean in higher frequencies. this allows to use a much smoother crossover and does not play dirty in the frequency range that is reserved for the tweeter. all in all the cost add up in total but this should deliver a super clean and powerful high resolution audio experience but at the end, all used drivers are very cheap for what they deliver. especially in this combination it should be enough for a party in a big living room as well.

These things are way overpriced. I just looked up the one for a Ford escape and it's $650......... I bet the cost to make it is under $5. They're absolutely trying to rape people with their profit margins on these. I could spend $500 instead on an amazing head unit that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a built-in amp and a hundred times the features of a stock radio. Start making these things for $100 or less and then people will buy them. The company is going to sink if they continue to try and charge this much for these little units. I wouldn't pay $650 installed for one of these.

Lots of local furniture stores now carry a wide price range of theater seating, you can go try and sit in. I can't imagine ever buying a seat and not sitting it in first. After sitting in a bunch of different Theater seats at one store, I can say there are those I wouldn't buy, and then the middle, and than the ones I would buy. You lucked out, and got some you like.

The question for these cheaper products, in my opinion, is typically longevity.

Have you looked at the Seatcraft apex seats? They are exactly the same seat but with more features. However they don’t go nearly as far back and they’re more expensive.

I sat on a 100 different love seats picking out one for my audio shed. I seriously never thought about looking on Amazon for seating.

So it seems home theater has shifted toward pro gear. I feel like there is a new niche in home theater. Theres the theater guys that save for 15 identica speakers, and theres the camp that uses a combination of diy and pro gear to get more of what we want for our money.

Why didn't you use dado's for the panels between the woofers?

They were NOT from Radio Shack. I had the original PS-8's and they were a 2 way speaker. The PS-8a's were 3 way.

If I'm going to use ring terminals, what stud size would fit to put on the screw terminals of the power supply? Will the #8 Stud work fine?

I run Crown CDI, XLS, XTI, X-core for various PA systems. Asides from a common issue on the kick-start circuitry (easily fixed), they are beastly amps. I also use WASI, Powersoft, Lab Gruppen... Crown is the best for the price.

To reduce the interference you can use a Dc-Dc isolator for the power input because your body has a capacitance connected to the ground (Floor) And thus you will see a change in performance. Because the power adapter is connected partly to plug ground

Zobel networks are not ideal and have downsides, and are not the only way to tackle problematic complex impedance loads.

How to Build $5000 Speakers for $400 for $5000 of equipment

I love these live streams as I always pick up something useful in areas related to speaker building. Todays take away for me was the reason for choosing ports vs passive radiators. From my experience a true Zobel needs to have both a capacitor and inductor in order to create a resonant shunt circuit, with a resistor being used to control the amount of current diversion. A resistor in series with only a capacitor in a shunt circuit has very little effect on impedance peak amplitude, but can significantly alter the Q of the circuit. Low value resistors (< 1 ohm) can be very useful for fine tuning knee shape and phase alignment at the crossover point, especially with coax drivers as the margin for error is much smaller than with separated components.
