    Hello, I loved the video. A question about how much is the range of colors? of the apollo P40 because there is a projector that has 72% checked with a colorometer. (I think it was said like that) and I'm very interested to know if this one beats him. It is the Everycom HQ9W. greetings. AND IT'S EVEN CHEAPER.

    • @Toid
      @Toid  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The Everycom looks to be a bottom of the line projector. I would take the Apollo P40 or this over it any day. I can’t imagine that it would either of these units.

    one information is missing, the real brightness of this projector ,as the manufacturer claims their projector is 1500 ansi lumens ,I believe the contrast and brightness must be similar to the ultimea apollo p40 projector can you confirm ?

    Awesome video. What sucks for me is that they don't ship to Puerto Rico. I hope they will soon.

    I knew it was too good to be true. Even though it shows 4K, I'm disappointed you didn't show us a side-by-side image comparison with a 1080p projector like a Yaber or Ultimea Apollo just so we know if it's fake 4K or not.

    • @Toid
      @Toid  Před 5 měsíci +2

      I actually don’t have either of those projectors anymore, so I couldn’t do that. There is some talk that it is only displaying a 1080p signal. I can’t confirm that. I can only show what my gear is saying it is outputting.

      I've actually done a side by side image comparison with the Paris Rhone and my BenQ w1070 - 1080p projector. Using actual 4k media, my BenQ seemed to have the better picture.

    I bought one of these and it’s a big disappointment. I bought it on a whim and realize it wasn’t very bright until I compared it to the specs of name brand projectors. I tried to cancel my order but it had already shipped. I had a used Epson 2150 that absolutely smoked it in brightness. Funny enough it really does seem like it’s 4k compared to the 1080p Epson, but that could just be super sampling 4k content. I ended up buying a VIewsonic PX748-4K projector for $800 on Black Friday. Which I think is pretty great for the money. I’m still trying to get the Paris Rhône people to accept my return, and now they have basically stopped talking to me.

    Its been confirmed to use a normal 5.7" 1080p lcd. It accepts a 4k signal and downsamples it.

    • @Toid
      @Toid  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Where was this confirmed? Everything on my end shows a 4K signal being sent out from the projector. If it wasn’t, it would transcode it on my end. And there was no transcoding.

    • @Luke-qs2cg
      @Luke-qs2cg Před 5 měsíci +7

      @@Toid multiple review units have been sent out, and every reviewer has confirmed it doesn't show a 4k image, only 1080p. A redditer posted under the paris rhone page with a teardown photo showing the same old 5.7" lcd inside and essentially mostly the same internals as the omnistar l80 he had.
      If something has changed between then and now that would be interesting. But with no dlp chip for pixel shifting inside, and there being no 5.7" 4k imagers available, I think we're all pretty confident in its 1080p nature. There have been ALOT of Chinese projectors come around that are stating a 4k output, but only serve a 1080p image, with the same 4k60 label when outputting that signal. Also, paris rhone is just a white label brand. They are taking some projector from China, and simply putting a name on it and importing it.

    • @Toid
      @Toid  Před 5 měsíci +4

      @@Luke-qs2cg you can tell it definitely is made for them. Not something they made for themselves. It is interesting that it is reading as a 4K signal from my shield. I have never had a 1080p projector that hasn’t had to have the image transcoded. If it is truly a 1080p then it definitely goes under the Ultimea my projector list. How you know is obviously concerned with the unit when it says HDR 10 and I’m not even getting 70% of Rec 709. So you always wonder if they are purposely misleading people or if the people they are buying it from are misleading them. Either way, that’s not good

    • @Luke-qs2cg
      @Luke-qs2cg Před 5 měsíci +3

      @@Toid you can send the board in them a 4k signal, and it will downsample to 1080p in the projector. Adds latency as well, but it does give a boost to image quality like anything else 1080p you feed a 4k signal, like your smartphone. Companies need to be unable to market this way, but it is what it is with China 🤷‍♂️

      I have this projector, (currently waiting for a shipping label, their customer service is terrible) When I plug it into computer it says the recommended resolution is 1080p. Of course image quality does not differ between 1080p and "4k."

      I asked them on their Facebook, it's definitely 1080p 29fps pixel shifting and it's not even fast pixel shifting, it's almost 15ms meaning it's not quite going to be 60hz capablem
