Yeah it’s fun to mix libraries. Personally, I like mixing Hollywood Opus with Audio Imperia’s Nucleus. Or Abbey Road One.

I really want to ask if you're going to do tutorials on how to compose with EWQL Symphonic Orchestra

When considering these sample libraries, even if they have more limited programming (the result of originating in the early 2000s) a good recording is still a good recording. That’s why I still use some older libraries (Peter Siedlaczek’s Advanced Orchestra, Spectrasonics’ Symphony of Voices, etc) to compliment my main ones (the Platinum Edition of EWQL Symphonic Orchestra (with the Pro Xp), and their Symphonic Choirs). The Strength of any given sample library relies in the following points: 1 The instrument and its rarity: A Piano library is not going to be easily set apart from other piano libraries; a Duduk (Armenian flute) one, has it easier to distinguish itself as there are barely a few libraries which content it. 2 The relative quality (and/or uniqueness of timbre) of the instrument in comparison with others of the same kind: Not every instrument of a given type is the same. There’s a reason old Stradivari violins (and celli) are so famous. 3 The idiosyncrasies of the instrumentist, and their technique. 4 The technical quality of the recording, with the place the recording is made being also a part of the output. 5 The number of different articulations captured from the real-life playing. 6 How these samples are programmed, taking the user into consideration. So, even if, because of its age, a sample library may be weak in some points, if it excels in others it’s still worth.

Hey Tobias. I’ve been looking for one of your tracks called something like “Spirit of the wind” or something… it has the word spirit in it… but I can’t find it anywhere on your videos. Did you remove any of your tracks recently? It was one of my favourites of yours… and I always let people listen to it as an example of your work. But it seems to be gone???

Tobias, Great mood change with energy and different from all the others so far. I think the woodwinds Henrik mentions add a new color and I like them throughout you piece.

This sounds stellar, Tobias! So it feels kinda ridiculous to suggest a change!! But the woodwinds at 0:20 0:23 etc. break the immersion in the music for me. They "stick out" of the mix - the rest is just perfectly integrated and coherent. And the link to the video footage is just superb!! The way the music changes when the video footage changes (picks up speed, like the river flowing etc.) It's always been enjoyable to listen to your tracks whenever there's a new one, but it's getting more and more so since you upgraded from EW QLSO Gold to the new libs you're also using today. You have so much skill! Hope you will continue to post for a long time yet and not get busy working or whatever 🙂👍

Nice. I am not much into hybrid but Dune really got me in theater. What no orchestral libs did you used?

1:42 I would accelerate the tempo of the piece during this section up until the climax at 2:20. Then return to normal tempo afterwards. Ideally vary the tempo of the piece all the way throughout maybe? Sounds great as it is, don’t get me wrong! It’s interesting to listen to how you try different things as a composer.

Finde deine Komposition echt gut. Ich wünschte, dass ich auch so weit wäre, aber nach Jahren verstehe ich die Musik Theorie immer mehr und meine aktuellen Tracks sind oft durch viele Spontane Ideen entstanden ohne wirklich groß nachgedacht zu haben, was ich da eigentlich tue..also die ersten 1-2 Tracks. :D
