| EPIC Hybrid Score | - DUNE -STYLE - BBCSO / Orchestral Tools

I went to see DUNE the other day and just had to try something like this afterwards! Scoring hybrid is very unusual for me but I had a lot of fun exploring, tweaking, pitching, filtering and shifting different sounds! A lot of sounddesign went into this and not much MIDI information.

Nice. I am not much into hybrid but Dune really got me in theater. What no orchestral libs did you used?

1:42 I would accelerate the tempo of the piece during this section up until the climax at 2:20. Then return to normal tempo afterwards. Ideally vary the tempo of the piece all the way throughout maybe? Sounds great as it is, don’t get me wrong! It’s interesting to listen to how you try different things as a composer.

Everything is how i want it to be 0:)
This piece was all about a continous puls, Building tension and extend the tension without actually accelerate the Tempo. It tryed to build tension only by layering and using pauses. Hans Zimmer is doing it all the time. He also uses lots of interesting techniques and physical effects to create an illusion of Building tension without actually speed anything up. Nice you used synth sounds ? i understand hybric means orchestra + synth(s).

Yes that is correct! it also means that you replace orchestral instruments with synths imitating the orchestra!
