I have a FN 1900 - the third one on my life. If you follow three tips, those stoppages will disappear: 1 - Sand all dragging points (slide rails, magazine lips and follower, breechface and feeding ramp) to a mirror finish. I used sandpapers of 600, 1200 and 2000 grits. 2 - Replace the recoil spring. 3 - Use European ammo brands made under CIP standard. PPU ammo, even being European, follows US SAAMI standards. Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot and Geco works better. With a new and strong spring, mirror finished sliding surfaces and European ball ammo, cartridges will feed like wet soap.

So a nine shot revolver with a shotgun barrel so short it might as well be a “shotgun bayonet”. This is the ye olde equivalent to an AR-15 with a chainsaw and a drum mag. My only issue is I could write an essay and proof read it and still not be done reloading the fucking thing. One thing I will never take for granted is self contained brass ammunition.
