- The Winchester 1887 was one of the first repeating shotguns, but even with the model 1901 updates the lever action rolling block design is still a bit of a mechanical and ergonomic mess. However, that does not stop it from still being ridiculously cool and fun to run. This particular gun is the nicest Chinese made Norinco reproduction I have run across, which is great as it allows me the ability to blast away with confidence I won't damage an original. Enjoy!

Lovely guns,i save u the gunlaws in my country but it means basicly we cant have replicas or guns that shoot smokeless powder but we can buy blackpowder originals and that includes the Winchester model 1887s,i have 1 for myself thats as new in terms of barrel and action and wood and bluing and i buy them in the usa and sell them here in the netherlands,but a 2th generation 1887 if its tight in terms of wear on the action and the barrel is good can be shot easy with smokeless.
Sadly these guns have all many strokes on them meaning many have worn out loading gates that are shaped like a egg and where the lever meets the receiver there is play......All can be fixes but a replica thats cheap,and working well and does the job would be awesome here.....But sadly laws.....Thanks for this vid,it remind me how cool the 87s are vs modern shotgun,they feel like big heavy solid steel wenn u work the lever vs modern pump or lever shotguns with a high plastic content.
